[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_01]: We are going to go through every week one game here somewhat quickly and try to find,

[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_01]: let's try to find Ryan at least three good bets for each of us.

[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Some games we feel good about here.

[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_01]: And let's try to make the people some money.

[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_01]: It's Week 1 of the NFL.

[00:00:35] [SPEAKER_01]: See you Nebraska.

[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe before we get into the NFL, let's touch on that a little bit.

[00:00:40] [SPEAKER_01]: See you struggled with North Dakota State quite a bit.

[00:00:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Nebraska beat the Unholy.

[00:00:47] [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of the team on the road are at home.

[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Not near as good as North Dakota State, but they look like they have an offense.

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_01]: How worried are you for the buffs?

[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Because it's been really fun to just beat the hell out of the Huskers, especially because

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_01]: when we were kids growing up in Colorado, Nebraska always beat us.

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_01]: One of my first vivid sports memories is the time that CU beat the hell out of them with

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Chris Brown and Bobby Purify running all over them.

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And then somehow Nebraska still got together the national championship game over us.

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_01]: But that was probably merciful because that Miami team was loaded.

[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_01]: But I still really want to beat Nebraska.

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Is there any way that we do that, right?

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Based off what you saw Week 1?

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I know you watched the CU game.

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's the same problem that what they were doing last year.

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_00]: The offense blend sucks and the defense can't stop the run.

[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I would say I'm worried.

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: And no, I don't think they're going to beat Nebraska.

[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Like it didn't look any different.

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I went to three games last year.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_00]: And they looked exactly the same.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be fun to watch because Travis Hunter is unbelievable.

[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_00]: And Shadour has some throws where you're like, yeah, you are pretty filthy.

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_00]: If you had an offensive line that could stand and block in front of you,

[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I bet you would be awesome.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_00]: But I was listening to something that it was like with a college scout.

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And they were talking about Shadour and he was like,

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_00]: and this was after the game that I was listening to this.

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_00]: And he said he was just like, he just doesn't have any rhythm in the pocket

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_00]: in terms of like he stays too long and then he gets really panicked back there.

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, God, that really just exactly describes what I just watched on Saturday.

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's I don't see them beating teams with real talent,

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_00]: especially on the road.

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's not going to happen.

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's pretty bad to me.

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I agree that he said and it feels like Shadour is a producer.

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Dan, can you look at a course real quick?

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_01]: But while he does that, I just wanted to echo your statement.

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like there are some filthy throws he makes,

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_01]: but it doesn't feel like because obviously our running game is

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_00]: touched down under the line.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Part of that's like running back down all that.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_01]: That's low.

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think that's just fine to think

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_01]: because like you said, the solution would normally be

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_01]: seven and a half.

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, to just say, hey, we're going to throw and use short throws

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_01]: and use those little rhythm throws almost as a running game

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_01]: and to protect our line.

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_01]: But it just doesn't feel like Shadour is very good at those.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_01]: It feels like he can bomb it and he has incredible arm talent

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_01]: to wear a lot of those deep crosses that like other college

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_01]: quarterbacks hang up too much.

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he'll get them there on a rope.

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And so we just have insane explosive plays.

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_01]: But you saw like after our first few drives,

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_01]: once again, explosive plays, we couldn't sustain a drive

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_01]: against North Dakota State.

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And so I think it's the modern MLB.

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_00]: I think this is going to be its strikeouts or its home runs.

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing really in between and it's entertaining

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_00]: to watch, I guess.

[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_00]: But honestly, the prime thing is sort of wearing thin on me.

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_00]: He's just annoying and I get it.

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I guess he's

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_00]: whatever, protecting players and speaking out

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_00]: and all these things or whatever he wants to say it is.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_00]: But at a certain point, like you're just kind of an asshole

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_00]: who gets paid a bunch of money and isn't getting endorsements

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_00]: by for all these products and is in all state ads

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_00]: with fucking Nick Saban and you can't you barely beat the like

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_00]: after Division One champion, the actual NCAA

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_00]: champion of college football.

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I just don't I

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_00]: not that interested.

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I sorry as well.

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_00]: He's hiring Warren Saff because he's Warren Saff, like

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_00]: It seems like he might actually be doing something.

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think that that's the case for that entire staff.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_00]: And you like the NCAA is no longer just like,

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to get some talent and I get to grind like these kids.

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_00]: You have to be grinding on the recruiting trail

[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_00]: to even identify the kid and then go get him.

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's such a full time job now.

[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Not that it wasn't before, I guess, but it's just different.
