[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_01]: For the Broncos season preview we've been teasing it. We've been bringing it to you. It's part one of a two-parter here

[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_01]: We're going through Ryan and I every game in the Broncos schedule. We're gonna pick a winner

[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna pick a loser Ryan you were the winner last year. How are you feeling confidence wise this year coming in?

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_01]: You were less bullish than I I think would be a kind way to say it. I had Broncos out of 11

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_01]: They won a and kind of miraculously when they after a 1-4 start

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_01]: In the in the preview guys I was looking at they were talking about how the way they came through

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_01]: We beat the Super Bowl change. It's the bills the Packers

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_01]: In that little four game win streak

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_01]: It it was kind of unbelievable

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_01]: So I ended up being three over you ended up being two under with six obviously

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_01]: You were you were the winner?

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Victoria's was one

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Yet, but I how are you feeling this year?

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Obviously you I think we should start here actually

[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_01]: You have bonus on a fantasy team, right? Yeah, how invested are you now in the bonus area?

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_01]: You spent eight dollars in fantasy draft and then we have the text message

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_01]: You sent us you said only eight for both and

[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_01]: That more excited that you were indignant about only eight for both now to be clear for folks it is a

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Super flex leak so you could technically

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_01]: You play two quarterbacks

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And it makes sense so quarterbacks are a little more valued

[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_01]: If you're sitting there and you're like, I only paid one dollar for the next in mind. Yeah, it's a one quarterback

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's well looking back on it. It wasn't good value for that draft there was sort of a late

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: run and quarterback so nobody had any money

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_00]: So

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_00]: But I am invested in the reason why I thought that that was sort of a good deal

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Really comes down to how mobile he's looked in the preseason like if he's gonna be scrambling for 50 or 60 yards a game

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Which I think is possible then I think you know, he's a real value in fantasy

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_00]: I think they're gonna get their asset kicked in a lot of games which we can get to we will get to but

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_00]: But it's not

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_01]: You were doing so good with the positive

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_00]: It's but that's not gonna be his fault. I guess is what I'm saying. It's like it's that's just

[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_01]: 50 60 yards game of rushing is

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna start to like it's clear that

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Barring injury like he's gonna play so I

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_00]: can't say that for a lot of the other

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_00]: You know people that are in that sort of category of like well, he's got the rookie behind him

[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, there are a lot of factors out there

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_00]: But so I am invested I will say I hate fantasy football and I've chosen to just you know have fun with it this year

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm only in two leagues. It's the least amount of leagues. I've ever been in

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_00]: We're in the same two weeks. It's beautiful thing. Yeah, it's all it's been great. I mean, I'm really enjoying it

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_01]: We are gonna go through these games one by one

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna you know, I'm sure we'll have some disagreements. We might go

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Remember, we're gonna go through all these games

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_01]: The week before so if you feel like, you know, we didn't get in depth enough on the

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Was we've been kind of circling this game as like a why is this line coming down based on preseason?

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_01]: But

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Not taking into account

[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Like home road games

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_01]: rookie quarterbacks are

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Minus 18 dboa and their first start and that does it once again. That's not just road

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_01]: That's home road everything basically the first time you start in the NFL is probably go bad

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_01]: It's the bottom line and I think there's no reason to think that this should be any different

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I think Seattle is really really good, too

[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_01]: So this is not something where I'm gonna be disheartened by this beating

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna make money off of it as I'm sure we'll touch on in in week

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I the wildest take that we're going to see after week one from this this fan base slash

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_00]: No, cuz I actually think Nick so probably look okay

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I think I think for the first time in you gotta get ready to get hurt again Kyle

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Lamenting the three other plays per drive that he's gonna make that are gonna make us want to run through a wall

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_01]: We can just go every other so I'll go first on this one. I'm fat W here

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_01]: This we're home Russ is coming in

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I think this the other team is unbelievably bad. I do just want to say I

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Three points against Seattle and I think we might only score like 16 here

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Pittsburgh's defense is still good and what won't have had time to get hurt yet

[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_01]: It feels like in the middle of the season is where you usually miss what?

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Which is a brilliant time to catch the Steelers because they are so so bad with that

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think this is gonna be fun for Nick's by any stretch of the imagination

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_01]: But I think our defense is gonna have a great time

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think there's gonna be I'm calling it. I think certain takes one away from Russ here

[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_00]: But that man and I don't I mean Russ wasn't exactly tight with everybody on the team either

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_00]: So like and he's gonna be the starter like he's gonna be playing so

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Certainly doesn't get hurt week one

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_00]: But I agree with you that this is a really bad Steelers team. I have this Steelers team 6-11

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that they're bad and

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_00]: coming into here

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_00]: After a loss on the road the bow Nix help him and Russell Wilson coming back into town. This is like I

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Mean assuming that the Broncos don't just look truly atrocious and

[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Atrocious in week one while that's a sentence

[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_00]: They this is a hammer game like find an alternate line find a six and a half find a seven and a half

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Like whatever it is at plus 220 like that's the odds that I will be betting this

[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, every way to study

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Here is my last question on this game

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_01]: in your opinion is

[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_01]: This going to be the most hyped we see in

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Power field like is this gonna be like like you said the hope is still there

[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_01]: The hatred is there on

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Like it feels like we

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Really hate the chiefs, but it feels like we've had some moments where it's been like, okay

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_01]: We need to win this game against the cheese prime time for a play of spot and our we're just like

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_01]: So much the little brother there now that it's like harder for our fans to get truly up for that

[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Whereas like I feel like the Steelers are gonna lose week one versus Atlanta and look not good

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And so I feel like our fans are gonna be like

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever did we lost to a good Seahawks team?

[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_01]: We better beat the hell out of us and people are gonna be ready to go for this

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you think this now supersedes like a chiefs or Raiders home game?

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_00]: I just looked through the schedule and I think it does

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Mostly because I just think we I mean we're gonna go through at all

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_00]: but I think there are sort of some inopportune losses where like if

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_00]: You could pull out a couple wins like maybe that charger or like the

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Falcons game means a lot or like one of those games actually means something and it's like sort of the last ditch of like

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Hey

[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna have some playoff help here and like it really means something and then you end up getting the crap kicked out of you on

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_00]: In that game which is more typical to how I feel like the Broncos seasons have gone in the past

[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_00]: But I think this is going to be it like it doesn't get any more exciting than

[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Bonics's home opener like if you're a Broncos fan who believes in bonics who thinks he's

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_00]: You know a franchise type of quarterback like

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Of course, it's good. This is as this is peak mountain stuff

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And I hope he does come out and put on a show because it would be fun

[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Like it the city is more fun if bone X's

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_00]: dish and diamond

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Put it right my veins, right?

[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Even to your point even if we're losing like if they're scoring 30 points a game Mike who cares, right?

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Away for the Bucks you go first here. This is a Bucks team stuck into the playoffs Baker. You're too. Yeah

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Just don't really think that this Bucks team has any direction. I think it was a little bit fool's gold last year

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_00]: They still have some offensive weapons like Mike Evans is still good and all those people are still good

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_00]: but you're still relying on Baker and I think

[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not net it's definitely not gonna be a hostile environment

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_00]: So like as for as a rookie quarterback coming into a second road

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Game I actually do think this will be sort of an interesting witness test

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think bow probably passes it

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that they come out with the dub here

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think this team lost a lot of talent on defense this Bucks teams no shack Barrett

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Carlton Davis who is their best corner last year and then also the big thing is they lost the offensive coordinator

[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_01]: over there to Carolina and he has kind of been a

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Like quarterback whisperer as far as like reviving young guys who've kind of bounced around but clearly have talent

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And so I think Baker misses him a lot

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_01]: This year and so once again, I'm surprised you gave the W here, but we are both sitting pretty at two and one

[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm giving on the W here with the Bucks as well. I think once again. I think

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_01]: This is a win and I think this is though

[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_01]: What Braga fans need to realize is we are playing the second hardest pass defense

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_01]: So Warren Sharp has this broken down not just by like the difficulty of your schedule overall

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_01]: but like what unit is strong projected to be strongest and

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna play Pittsburgh who's got a good defense

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna play Seattle who's gonna be much improved on that end and you're gonna play Tampa Bay on the road

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_01]: so

[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't have a con nip Shin when bow nicks and this often look not like what you saw against the fourth stringer

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Patterson, okay, like they're not gonna look like that and I think this is an ugly win

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_01]: But I think this is a win. I think Baker's gonna turn it over a little here and the Broncos key thing

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_01]: 8-1 when they won the turnover battle last year

[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_01]: They they need to win the turnover battle and they're gonna play two quarterbacks in Russ and Baker who?

[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Will throw that thing to you

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's the key here

[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the Bucks just

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Broncos defense isn't gonna be good

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_00]: But they you have to be somewhat explosive in order to really hurt them

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_00]: I still think the box is worse on offense. So

[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Like roster talent. Hey, we lost to him last year without Aaron Rodgers like yeah, it's bad

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think this is a low point for the Broncos also

[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Aaron is not gonna forget that John talked a bunch of shit about hack it

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_01]: He is a spiteful guy and I do think we're gonna see some discount double-check

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean you think about that Rodgers is gonna put up 600 yards Garrett Wilson's gonna have four touchdowns at this game

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean you can't have 30 some almost 40 million dollars in dead cap space and expect compete with a team that is I

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_01]: They don't have tons of talent and it feels like it's gonna fall apart
