[00:00:00] In part one of a special two-part episode as promised Dom is joining us to break down the

[00:00:07] abs everything the early season turmoil us beating the hell out of everyone now are we

[00:00:14] going to win the Stanley Cup does Georgie suck all of those questions and more will be answered

[00:00:22] Dan play that funky music

[00:00:29] All right welcome into a brand new episode of The Blucifer Brothers

[00:00:33] I'm Kyle Poe and joined as always by Ryan Poe but we are also joined not always

[00:00:39] By our avalanche expert we promised this last week we know the abs we've been neglecting you a bit

[00:00:45] so we wanted to bring on the the prince of the avalanche kingdom our good friend Dom Dom

[00:00:54] thank you for joining us today how are you doing buddy I'm great thanks for having my boys

[00:00:58] absolutely absolutely so that was a great hockey response by you how you doing there boys

[00:01:05] I appreciate the the branding but so Dom it feels like the we watched the

[00:01:21] F's we are admittedly not the biggest like hockey guys so we don't know the ins and outs of

[00:01:32] sport but we've been spoiled pretty much our whole lives with traditionally pretty awesome hockey to

[00:01:38] watch and so we watch it throughout the season we gamble on it those who have listened to the

[00:01:46] podcast for a while you heard us lose a bet to the cursid coyotes may they burn they just like

[00:01:58] they set their eyes on fire to slow our team down never mind so we watch these games but it feels like

[00:02:08] everyone is kind of disappointed in the abs on Twitter and that but we're still really good and

[00:02:18] we're even though we blow games sometimes we're eight and two in our last ten games like we're

[00:02:25] kind of crushing they just had a comeback win last night and put up seven goals like it does feel

[00:02:32] like a Stanley Cup team still to me but it maybe doesn't feel that way from the way

[00:02:38] Av's fans talk about it why do you think that is I think a lot of it had to do with I mean

[00:02:44] beginning of the season there were a lot of jelling issues it seemed like nobody was jelling nobody

[00:02:51] could pass the puck right it didn't nothing was crisp you know it feels like it's just a team

[00:02:56] that didn't have a lot of time together and that's true in some respects but I think it just took

[00:03:04] him forever to to kind of gel and get to a point where they're actually playing the hockey that

[00:03:09] they can play on top of that too not having a captain for two years is a downer for for any team so

[00:03:20] it it seems like those things all kind of stack against them but for whatever reason in the past

[00:03:25] you know month two months or so it seems like they've they've really kind of I stuck with it yeah

[00:03:33] it's it's interesting because I feel like every time I look at a box score or like you know

[00:03:40] I'm often doing your classic square Denver betting of just like looking at what McKinney is for

[00:03:46] goal and being like well that seems like it'll probably definitely happen and he's in all yeah

[00:03:52] it's it sort of has been a pretty good bet honestly but when I when I actually look at the box score

[00:03:58] it's not the classic names that were used to seeing like really scoring these goals or even setting

[00:04:04] up the chances like last night being a perfect example I was like going through the ESPN highlights

[00:04:09] because obviously I was watching I I was otherwise encumbered with a nuggets game that we'll talk

[00:04:15] about later but I I'm scrolling through and I'm looking at all these highlights of the goals of like

[00:04:20] who is this guy like you know is it really just that those type of at like guys are taking a little

[00:04:27] bit longer or is it just that they like have we switched up lines I don't I have no idea what

[00:04:34] what this is sort of look like to get those guys into a rhythm where it feels like like Ross

[00:04:39] Colton is scoring every other game it seems like you know so he's he's the big one he's he's

[00:04:46] one of the I don't know necessarily that he's like a surprise like he he's been traditionally good

[00:04:54] and it took him a while to kind of find that groove again so Colton in particular is one of those

[00:05:00] guys that I am super impressed with the past couple weeks past month whatever but it

[00:05:10] it's weird because it we have depth it feels like but at the same time it feels like we don't

[00:05:16] have depth like consistent depth I guess if we can continue the way that we have the past

[00:05:24] you know six weeks or so the depth is really coming into into their own for sure and everyone's

[00:05:32] kind of coming together better and jelling so it's it's keeping that consistent I mean if

[00:05:38] the you know third four flying guys are scoring more if people like Ross Colton are stepping up

[00:05:42] and having multi-point games and stuff like that then I think I think we're in good shape it's sort of

[00:05:48] it hasn't like that it wasn't like that for the first part of the season for sure it is sort

[00:05:53] of our classic like nuggets conundrum right of like we have these two in the avalan sense maybe like

[00:06:02] four to five like really sort of star players like Nichuzkan is a star you know Makar's obviously a star

[00:06:11] McKinnons a star so like you have the star power but it's like how are they gonna orbit how is

[00:06:16] the how are the others gonna orbit around them and it does it does feel like they're sort of

[00:06:21] jelling quicker than potentially the nuggets uh speak here the nuggets yeah how good is pop by Jones kid

[00:06:30] he's he's interesting because I think he's I think he's mostly I think he's mostly average yeah I mean

[00:06:37] he's a good he's a good defenseman like uh he's he's Sam Gerard a couple years ago great he plays

[00:06:45] good defense but there's but there's not there's not much else and they we're not gonna trade him or do

[00:06:50] anything crazy like that right like we gotta keep that synergy together you know we gotta have the

[00:06:56] teams in in the ball sack all pulling in one direction it's key it's key it's true it's true if

[00:07:04] you can uh you can keep it in the fan yeah you know it's then it's all good yeah he's he's decent I

[00:07:11] I think it's it kind of it speaks to the depth a little bit it's just like one of those depth players

[00:07:16] that'll play good defense for you and that's about it spot like that yeah look um it sounds like so far

[00:07:24] a theme of the season has been consistency I know they had players calling out players saying

[00:07:33] people just weren't putting in the effort necessary that was really surprising to me because I remember

[00:07:40] reading a kind of in depth profile on McKinnon when the abs one and they were talking about how he was

[00:07:48] obsessive about diet about everything and how he would say stuff to guys like hey you're looking

[00:07:53] if you're looking a little heavy out there let's make sure we're getting locked in here boys you know

[00:07:59] like it feels like he's kind of this uh you know real intense and like direct leader that wouldn't

[00:08:08] let his teams have these kind of inconsistent things you mentioned the captain is as McKinnon kind

[00:08:15] of taken on that role or is it someone else you think with this team that has a bigger voice maybe

[00:08:21] in the locker room I it's funny I had this conversation with some some buddies too about whether or

[00:08:28] not McKinnon would be a good captain I I think he's too intense to be a good captain I think he would

[00:08:34] intimidate absolutely everybody like being the captain um he like for better or worse I mean

[00:08:44] when Nate is mad he plays exceptionally well on his own but I don't know how well that translates

[00:08:51] to like you know in a in a time of panic is is Nate able to you know like calm down a little bit

[00:08:58] and like bring everybody together and rally just say it's Nate gonna he'd make kale prion you're worried

[00:09:04] about him hey kale's kale see kale seems like a sweet fragile baby he does well he just seems like the

[00:09:11] nicest kid in the world yeah he doesn't have perpetual baby face but he just seems like the nicest

[00:09:16] guy in the world and if yeah if Nate started yelling I don't know my break poor kale who would

[00:09:20] you like if you had to give if you had to give it to somebody if you had to put the sea on somebody's

[00:09:25] chest like who were you slapping it on that it's the hardest question in the world I have I have no

[00:09:33] I think they can win a cup without like a real answer to that question it would be hard

[00:09:40] because there yeah I mean because what do you think about it what do you think the difference

[00:09:44] I guess between the cup team like was there a more clear leader on that cup team do you think

[00:09:52] yeah I mean or was it just closer to rantman being like oh like you know was it just

[00:09:59] yeah I don't know I think a lot of things lined up to to help but I mean you had guys like you

[00:10:09] know cogley on oh making gigantic crazy awesome speeches that rallied everybody to seem like

[00:10:17] cadre helping on playoff games joe massive massive like I'm not a really good

[00:10:25] woman using him sitting in her personality yeah like he had a lot of pull yeah there's there's no doubt

[00:10:35] he he had a lot of gravity I mean people would when he was playing well other people would

[00:10:40] start playing well when he was you know fired up other people get fired I think he was he

[00:10:45] was the mother one of those leaders for sure I think it's such an interesting conversation especially

[00:10:49] with hockey because I feel like a lot of times people like in sports it's so easy to just be like

[00:10:54] oh the best player is obviously like the captain of your team and then hockey like there's no sport

[00:11:01] where that is less true than in hockey you could put a sea on some third-line defense mid who like

[00:11:07] everybody just respects the hell out of and it would make a total sense but like

[00:11:12] it that doesn't really happen that would never happen in the NBA obviously but like deandre jordan

[00:11:18] is very important to the nuggets and he plays very little like you know they're those sort of guys

[00:11:23] and you have to have those type of guys so that's a really interesting I'm gonna be I'm gonna be

[00:11:29] on the prowl for our new our new captain yeah uh yeah he's a amazing man for uh he has been

[00:11:38] absolutely hearing up the NHL here the past I mean he's had a great season throughout but it

[00:11:46] feels like the past month it's even kicked up to another level um two-part question

[00:11:54] do you think he has an actual chance to win MVP this season um it feels like he's getting mentioned

[00:11:59] in a lot of those conversations now he's kind of getting them momentum maybe peaking at the right time

[00:12:05] and is involved in a close race for first with Winnipeg some has a chance to have some you know

[00:12:11] impactful goals that maybe are a little bit more memorable uh but with him playing that way

[00:12:19] and there's this quote from the leaves coach that I wanted to read to you that was when makinan's

[00:12:25] line gets out there with macar and toes the caliber of play it's not that's not the NHL

[00:12:34] that's another league

[00:12:36] so it's a lot of days

[00:12:40] tears come on my bad my bad my bad uh mr. taves i apologize uh but mr. brawn does not

[00:12:51] accept your apology I didn't apologize to him uh but so with this top heavy line that it feels like

[00:13:04] there's a lot of pressure on them in the playoffs when some of these

[00:13:11] third line goals dry tend to dry up right teams are just tighter teams are playing their stars

[00:13:17] longer you just can't sneak goals like you can in the regular season um where someone's on a

[00:13:22] back-to-back and they're just like well we're gonna run our lines out there and what it is what it is

[00:13:27] is do you trust these other lines behind them to go to that Stanley Cup level

[00:13:38] it's yeah it's kind of like we talked about it it feels it feels now like we have depth um

[00:13:45] they've been playing a lot more consistent they've been scoring bigger goals more often um

[00:13:51] so the top line has been playing ridiculous it's funny that that quote is two defenseman and

[00:13:57] Nate uh that he's like oh this is horrifying and we're not even talking about like

[00:14:02] rantin and val and like all the other offensive players that are on the ice at the same time too

[00:14:08] so um but it i think the depth is there if if they stay consistent with the level that

[00:14:16] they've been playing at i mean even when you you talk about like changing up the lines and stuff

[00:14:21] like that too bednar's spectacular at identifying issues and switching out people and putting them

[00:14:27] in places where they can do some some good and succeed and stuff like that especially if things

[00:14:33] stall because you know stack it half of the season uh like you said people start kind of dipping

[00:14:40] off from from the peak um bednar's great at moving puzzle pieces around and getting guys on lines

[00:14:48] that that really meshed together well like even uh uh drew an and Nate used to play together

[00:14:57] like a long time ago or something like that i think they i think at the story is McKinnon was big

[00:15:03] in him coming right like he wanted to he like really advocated for him to come to the team yeah

[00:15:08] exactly yes so that and that i'm not sure that they've been on the ice a whole lot together but

[00:15:15] it's when they are it seems noticeable i mean they they pass the puck well they give each other

[00:15:21] opportunities it seems like you're good pairing so i mean it seems like we have a lot of ammunition

[00:15:27] to be able to handle that slump when it does come um yeah it'll be it'll be very interesting to see

[00:15:35] but i uh if we can keep playing the way that we have been then i think the answer to that question is

[00:15:40] yes it it can hold up it's interesting you brought up the uh coach there i wanted to ask you

[00:15:48] uh hold on i do have i do have just there is not a coach in the NHL that looks better behind a bench

[00:15:58] than bednard does like when he's got that fucking not in that tie and it's high and tight and he's

[00:16:07] yelling at some guy with his massive shoulders and his fucking like he's standing next to NHL players

[00:16:14] it looks big and i'm like dude you are a fucking unit so yeah i know you're about to get into like a

[00:16:21] whole conversation about his fucking coaching prowess but let's just say uh the guy has a cup

[00:16:28] and looks like a bond villain so i think he gets a pass for at least five years i don't know

[00:16:35] i'm just i've just checking the temperature now of early in the season it felt like there were a lot

[00:16:43] of no shows bednard talked about effort other players talked about effort you know kind of was

[00:16:50] not on the hot hot seat but it was getting warm do you think he is a good enough coach with this team

[00:16:59] now to push buttons well enough to get them to the Stanley Cup and the other big part is

[00:17:07] golly how do you feel about the man in net and the man this the gipper are they gonna want to win

[00:17:16] one for the gipper enough and our man in goal he's been a little shaky out there but he's had some good

[00:17:24] performances lately hot where do you stand on those two key figures because it feels like in playoffs

[00:17:29] hot coach hot golly wins it a lot of the time for sure yeah i mean bednard is definitely hot he will

[00:17:38] be perpetually hot i was gonna say the guys the smoke show he's a phone of five ten like i don't know

[00:17:44] if you get if you can get hotter better looking every game you think it's easy it's very honest it's just

[00:17:50] not fair he needs to it got doesn't give a two hands he needs to catch a puck in the face

[00:17:58] although the scar would make him don't honestly the scar would make it way better yeah god damn it

[00:18:04] there's no way you could make that man on attractive anyways continue top you're right

[00:18:09] right in terms of in terms of him and how he coaches though i mean anytime

[00:18:18] anytime the ads have been in a position where they've been in a slump at everything you

[00:18:22] everyone always looks at bednard and the thing that they always point out is that he like shows no

[00:18:27] emotion but he's very even always he's not he's not mad he's not super excited

[00:18:34] um there are very few times you can pick out where you can tell like he's upset with something

[00:18:42] um and people always point to that as a reason to be like oh well he's not you know

[00:18:48] he's not able to motivate everybody because he's just too even keely and he's just to show some

[00:18:53] emotion and stuff like that i don't i don't think i've ever i don't think there's ever been

[00:19:02] a legitimate reason to look at what bednard does and be like we need to fire this guy

[00:19:11] right in terms of like x's and os it seems like it's all like five coordinator their their

[00:19:16] mad he's not prime out there they need to bring it down to the locker room so good to be good

[00:19:24] i can't imagine a worse idea for a hockey locker room that to bring it pro they'd look at that guy

[00:19:30] be like uh should we beat the hell out of this guy who's a Canadian who's Canadian coach prime

[00:19:41] who would get Canadians just to am I mean i could do my best her brooks impression

[00:19:47] i think tonight we should down

[00:19:54] yeah that's pretty good yeah that's pretty got me up there um ready i'm ready i'm ready

[00:20:00] i watch the video a lot so yeah no i think it's not a psychic well being honest

[00:20:11] like if you wanted to do that i mean he could definitely come down wouldn't be but i just

[00:20:17] believeful at it i've been in my limited experience right like i was around a relatively high level

[00:20:24] hockey program at do and i feel like it was interesting to watch how they operated as opposed to

[00:20:30] like the teams that i've been a part of or even the other teams in the department because

[00:20:36] it is such a different thing like that locker room is not like any other locker room i've ever

[00:20:43] been in like it's just not the same and the relationship between the coach and the players

[00:20:48] is much different and i feel like the the levels of the coaching that happened there in terms of

[00:20:56] like how much they're involved in the day-to-day is so different too that and how much they're

[00:21:01] involved in like the vibes versus like oh no we're running this play on this face off like

[00:21:06] this is the line that will be out there right now like those are two sort of different things

[00:21:11] and i think uh it yeah it's it's fascinating to watch because the the hockey

[00:21:21] like community i feel like does not understand how strange these people are

[00:21:28] like they're some of the weirdest motherfuckers i've ever been around and you get you get 30 of

[00:21:34] them in a locker room like there it's a wild place to be so uh it's i wish i could be a fly on

[00:21:41] the wall honestly um so about that goalie oh yeah he's any good

[00:21:50] he's any good it's it's tough and i know uh dance just just foaming at the mouth for

[00:21:58] yeah he's paying me to ask you these questions i'm sure he is he he's slid a note over to you right

[00:22:04] there let's say ask about Georgie uh it's weird because the goal-tending in the league as a whole

[00:22:13] has been weird all year um the the the safe percentages are just down wholesale everywhere so

[00:22:25] i mean Georgie having being the first goalie starting goalie of the season to get 20 wins with an

[00:22:33] under 900 safe percentage uh is weird uh the abs seems to be winning in spite of his goal-tending

[00:22:43] letting in you know goals that he certainly shouldn't shouldn't be letting in and stuff like

[00:22:49] i don't he's he's in a weird spot i think all i have to has a

[00:22:52] the abs goal-tending always sort of been suspect out like wasn't this always sort of our thing

[00:22:58] like after after art he does love to turn the puck over at the blue line so you are going to see

[00:23:07] some you know two on one that's part of the free-flowing way that that first line plays in

[00:23:13] attacks is sometimes they just try to do some stuff and you're like yeah that was bold

[00:23:19] that was that was good any anytime anytime Dan text me and says Georgie question mark uh you know

[00:23:26] that my response to him is always it's not it's not all his fault especially when we're losing like

[00:23:32] eight to two or whenever it was to the to the Arizona or whatever is there a realistic way to

[00:23:39] there's a lot more to it like for the abs i don't it probably not within like our cap space budget

[00:23:48] it you know we probably don't have the money to pay a superstar goal tender to correct me if

[00:23:53] i'm wrong but it's sort of valued like a quarterback almost like you when you've got a good young one

[00:23:59] you're like i'm not gonna give up on this kid yet because maybe he's great and like so it's

[00:24:05] it's hard to find that like diamond in the rough you know from another team that you just

[00:24:10] sort of believe in because they're not gonna give up on it either i think that's why a lot of

[00:24:15] goalie spend so much time in the in the minor leagues right like the this is baseball where

[00:24:21] the triple A and double A and ACHL and NHL and all the ACHL exactly yeah so it's part of the reason

[00:24:31] why i think always been so much time down there is because they're trying to suss out whether or

[00:24:36] not they can continue developing people like how how many times have we seen anonin right like

[00:24:42] useless the guy that played last night or was it last night a couple nights ago um he he's been

[00:24:49] around with us for several years now um and he's still not like a starter in the league and

[00:24:57] stuff like that because i think they're continuing to try and develop them so our death that goalie

[00:25:01] is definitely a concern um ever since frankie it's it sucks the frankie didn't work out and his

[00:25:10] injuries you just kept nagging at him to the point where he couldn't play anymore but um

[00:25:17] it is it is a question mark but i don't think it's to the point of like we need to get out our

[00:25:22] pitchforks and torches like dan wants to and go to go to jordie's house and let him know we think

[00:25:27] you don't you don't let dan bully you into anything this is the man who wants them to re-sign

[00:25:32] rust to a ten year contract i don't talk on this very often that is an interesting uh an

[00:25:39] interesting product that is incorrect i knew i could get it i could get him to try that

[00:25:48] uh beautiful get my easterdan on the mic it's beautiful work i have a ryan question for you dumb

[00:25:55] yeah i've got a last question for you and maybe kyle something else too but when when i was looking

[00:26:01] through the standings and like like my apps watching habit is like i watch the games and i don't

[00:26:07] necessarily watch the standings as much as i wouldn't at the air you know another league but

[00:26:14] when i look at him and when i was you know listening to the tnt guys talk the other night they're

[00:26:19] talking about how the top of these divisions are like sort of surprise teams right nobody's surprised

[00:26:26] by the abs like they were sort of like up there if not the favorite then in the top three for

[00:26:31] stand the cup odds before the beginning of the year and i look at that from the outside and i'm

[00:26:37] all right so how are we not just gonna like walk to a stand like cup like if these teams halfway

[00:26:44] through the year at the top of the divisions and the teams performing the best are like surprises

[00:26:48] then why are we trusting them in the playoffs you know so they've got to be having a lot of the same

[00:26:53] conversations and the same concerns we do so who do you see as like the big teams that we're

[00:26:59] going to have to like get through obviously we're not holding you to a prediction here but like what

[00:27:04] do you see is the biggest hurdles for us it's always it feels like at least recently it's always been

[00:27:13] Dallas or Vegas that are the teams that are bigger they've got a lot of veteran firepower

[00:27:22] that works well for them in the playoffs um the abs size the past couple of years has has been

[00:27:28] a topic of conversation too they have just seen those bullied like they they definitely have this

[00:27:38] year i mean Nate anymore is a is a bulldog man they can I was just say he trucks back somebody

[00:27:46] the other week and it was a that clip of him where he's just like skating around him going like

[00:27:53] what when you get him downhill I wouldn't want to be standing in front of it like he's not a small guy

[00:28:03] yeah so i mean yeah Dallas and Vegas they tend to be problems just because of their size and

[00:28:09] the number of veterans that they have that have been through the been through the circus the couple of

[00:28:14] times so um those are who I would be concerned about I mean anybody out east when

[00:28:24] Boston's big we yeah we had a we had a good game against Boston that was that was fun

[00:28:30] I also want a lot of money on that one that was great yeah that was a good game so it Boston will

[00:28:37] definitely be interesting um I'm trying to I'm trying to thank you anything I wanted to say Florida

[00:28:47] but maybe not Tampa Bay maybe but maybe I mean yeah the big ones are in our division

[00:28:55] yeah I think we can we can play pretty well with most of the most of the teams out of you I also

[00:29:01] to make a cross sport comparison to me it feels like the first time NFC teams seal of marja accent

[00:29:10] they're always like holy hell that guy's fast and like the AFC teams are just like yeah we've

[00:29:17] seen how fast he is all the time we're basically always trying to cheat to stop that uh so

[00:29:24] like Dallas and then they've learned how to cheat a little bit whereas it feels like out east if

[00:29:30] you're playing us and you haven't played against our speed on a consistent level you might get

[00:29:35] jumped on in a in a Stanley Cup series very similar to what we saw when the abs did win the cup where

[00:29:41] it was like uh you weren't ready for this level of movement out there yeah I mean the prime example

[00:29:50] that is last year when we lost them in the playoffs to Seattle right like it it was it was brutal

[00:29:56] because Seattle figured out exactly what you needed to do to stop the rush um and and contain

[00:30:04] McKinnon essentially um but now I mean I don't know what they're doing differently or if there's more

[00:30:13] pieces of the puzzle that we're missing from last year that we gained this year that it's maybe

[00:30:18] not as effective because I mean that that's a that's a blueprint right for how you should be able

[00:30:24] to stop the abs um because Seattle did it so well so uh I mean teams are obviously looking at that

[00:30:32] and trying to do that same thing this year and for whatever reason it seems to be not working so

[00:30:39] yeah I don't know what it is but we we've maybe found a groove that we can slide in you know

[00:30:45] um last question for me here so maybe there's some Broncos fans they're they're coming out of their

[00:30:52] Broncos sadness they're like all right I'm gonna hop into this abs season here stay in your Broncos

[00:30:59] sadness you deserve it stay at it I don't agree with that statement or do I we all live here we all

[00:31:06] live here alright let's just um and they asked you they said hey who do we hate the most

[00:31:15] and what's a team that we're playing somewhat soon that you would be like you should watch

[00:31:22] that game like that's gonna be a good game the abs are gonna get going in that one they're gonna

[00:31:28] try to come at us we're gonna try to come with them it's gonna be great I mean the team that

[00:31:33] we hate the most it's it's always a toss up between like the preads and the blues why do we hate

[00:31:40] the preads everybody it feels like we always mess them up I think it's their fans yeah a little

[00:31:47] I think it's their mouthy down there and we're not talking about that amount of team in the house

[00:31:52] all right there's many a gap Kyle Kyle's like in the life talk right now he can't talk too bad

[00:31:59] about the preads he kid he can't have the slander on the five des oh game there is miserable

[00:32:06] the worst sporting that's what I'm saying and he was in a box fans come that's real saying except

[00:32:11] there's all I mean how nice really is a box and antenna see what Ryan means is a couple of crashes

[00:32:22] well I mean that's for 18 people honestly yeah quarter of those things yeah didn't know

[00:32:31] out all just mountain dues code red I don't know why it was not so I mean but it's it's been

[00:32:42] it feels like we always mess them up and yes say Lewis I totally understand old school me I still

[00:32:50] hate the stars a lot they used to be the abs back in their day we talked about the wild the

[00:32:57] wild haven't been good enough for us yeah I'm sure about the right yeah yeah better enough back in

[00:33:04] the day it yeah the games will always be fun to watch against the wild because I mean there is

[00:33:10] a rival right there for sure but the wild haven't been they're trying the best their little

[00:33:14] minutes so to sells can do all right so we're playing hold on let's give some people some gambling

[00:33:22] advice we're playing the at we're playing the Bruins on the road tomorrow what do we think we're

[00:33:29] not going to be able to actually win this game right but let's make somebody else a player perhaps

[00:33:38] you don't think we're gonna be able to win this game well you tell me I guess that was me saying

[00:33:42] that I don't I don't know man I think I can't remember if we won the game that we played against

[00:33:51] Boston you might know since you made it we won at home okay I had that game was just so good

[00:34:02] regardless it's going to be a good game I bet you bet the over yeah that's that that's and

[00:34:11] unless the over is like seven and a half already if it's like six and a half you're probably

[00:34:18] in pretty good shape yeah let's say I'm pulling up the odds right now six I would take yeah

[00:34:25] that's juiced a little bit to the over but that's interesting the odds are plus one 20 on the

[00:34:31] money line so that's another interesting interesting little thing so the tastiest shit to me

[00:34:38] down always as when I'm looking at this as a square is I just look at kale macars goal scoring odds

[00:34:45] and I'm like it's just plus it's over plus 200 every time I'm like why how do I not just take this

[00:34:53] talk me out of it I yeah I wonder I wonder what the if you were just a bet a kale goal like every

[00:35:01] you've got to end up like what you'd have to I mean he's instead of betting a goal bet his points

[00:35:09] yeah because I mean he's he's one of the leading I think he is the leading defensive point score it's

[00:35:15] crazy and McKinney just took over the points lead or tied for the points lead as well so

[00:35:22] it's that battle between him and Kutraav has been just ridiculous because like every time you see

[00:35:29] Nate pull ahead Kutraav will have like a four point game it's ridiculous he's on another level

[00:35:37] it's telling me that we have waited until the 35th minute to inform me that our best player

[00:35:44] is rivals with a man we could be calling Kutraav I saw the look on your face and I was like

[00:35:53] I don't know what it is about to say but we might have to cut this and I'm so happy that we don't

[00:35:59] have to you're really everybody's getting a peek behind the curtain because the nervousness in my

[00:36:06] heart oh dude oh you can't go right by him his coach was showing

[00:36:19] that's great uh well I think I've learned a lot who does the who does the coach play for

[00:36:28] oh yeah I'm in I'm hating on him every game

[00:36:36] I hate watching them play too I'm I would love to watch a bit of that hockey

[00:36:42] I'm just gonna see and then get on their Twitter's and start mostly garbage time

[00:36:49] not like Nate scoring when it counts hashtag the coach

[00:37:01] all right so let's leave on this note are the abs right now you just have to say are the abs

[00:37:12] winning the Stanley Cup you go first Kyle yes I'm a mindless Homer I thought the

[00:37:20] Broncos would win 11 games I think I'm not gonna take it team it's actually good to win

[00:37:26] the championship wait till we do our rockies preview I'm gonna be like I didn't even got a

[00:37:33] wild card chance go with me on this boys I'm going yes too I've always been I think actually

[00:37:44] I'm hockey is so much fun the abs are probably my favorite Homer team where I just get to like

[00:37:51] sort of blindly route for them and I don't know enough about the sport to like really have an

[00:37:56] informed opinion so I just get to cheer for the guys and I will absolutely go in on this so

[00:38:03] yeah yeah 100% I mean we're in let's go one of the best hockey windows that we we've ever gotten

[00:38:11] let's go so just keep just keep saying yes we're definitely gonna just keep saying yes that's good

[00:38:16] that's good for life I don't like that you just just ended that with contenders though can we get

[00:38:22] a firm we are going to win we'd like to cut this for the social media dog yeah the ads are

[00:38:28] going to win say your full name and hold up hold up a newspaper dated today yeah yeah yeah

[00:38:40] they have the winner let's go let's go all right that's excited here to be watching that

[00:38:47] yeah I'm excited for two parade to parade yokech won't have to leave the

[00:38:54] joint parades joy parades wonderful I'll just stay out there and then hop on a fire truck with the

[00:39:03] abs oh make it happen beautiful thing I'm so excited me too make sure they invite make sure

[00:39:12] they invite Russ I feel like he needs to pick me yeah yeah yeah I don't know how many invites Russ

[00:39:17] is gonna be getting into the Denver area well he sent out a lot for his birthday party and I

[00:39:23] don't think I'll take away so I didn't get my invitations I would have caught a Russ if you

[00:39:30] listen to this I would have gone I would have peed in both of his sinks

[00:39:34] I would have been in the same pool sinks that means one of those sinks is for his 12 children all right

[00:39:43] they can't be silly next thing if I wash it off well I can yeah all right you guys follow the

[00:39:51] social media guy that tracks how many touchdowns Russ passes compared to how many bathrooms he has

[00:39:55] in this house right he's got more than two bathrooms right now I always confuse it honestly it's

[00:40:00] always it's I've never gotten it correct I'm either wrong about which side whatever side I'm

[00:40:08] making the metaphor about him always wrong so it's on brand as is the best of us

[00:40:14] well down thank you for joining us on this and we will check in with you before the playoffs again

[00:40:20] and once we know our matchups and all that well maybe we'll bring on around by round as we march to

[00:40:26] the Stanley Cup so we can be happy about hockey together great I think we need to I think we need

[00:40:34] to have like a 10 minute DOM update every couple of weeks you know just like a DOM how do you

[00:40:40] feel about the apps I don't feel very good Georgie sucks and then you know check it and then we

[00:40:48] can have later I think that's a great cadence we get we can do a hard cut to me just being like uh

[00:40:55] feel good I'm fine I'm fine you're fine everybody's fine I like that that sounds good I'm in I like it

[00:41:05] I like it all right well stay tuned for part two where we will be get diving into the divisional playoffs
