[00:00:34] I feel like we have a better understanding.

[00:00:36] I feel like we're fully locked in now Ryan and we're ready for the stretch run.

[00:00:41] And I think it's going to be a fun season.

[00:00:44] But we are in the playoffs.

[00:00:46] We are in the stretch run of another sport and that is the NFL playoffs.

[00:00:56] Ryan, we both went foreign to

[00:00:59] and the opening weekend.

[00:01:01] We are tied despite your childish protests.

[00:01:48] So, Ryan, the divisional round,

[00:01:53] traditionally this is the most fun round.

[00:01:57] Because normally we like get rid of some crappy teams

[00:02:00] and we did get rid of some crappy teams like the Steelers.

[00:02:06] But also we lost the two seed in the NFC

[00:02:12] and now we have a seven seed who is started out as a 10 point underdog and is now down to nine

[00:02:20] and a half. And then you also have a pretty darn sizeable favorite there in Alliance

[00:02:29] with minus six against the bucks as well.

[00:02:33] So, oh, and the Ravens are now huge favorites as well.

[00:02:42] So three of these games are hanging either a little over a touchdown or a little under.

[00:02:50] Do you think the... Are you excited about these games?

[00:02:54] Or did we get... Are we going to have some blow outs this weekend?

[00:02:59] Overall, do you think?

[00:03:01] Well, I don't think we're going to get blow outs.

[00:03:06] Even I think if a game ends up over 10 points,

[00:03:09] you know, I think the true NFL junkies like yourself and myself will understand that

[00:03:16] a 10 point it could finish as a 10 or 14 point game

[00:03:19] and that doesn't mean that it wasn't entertaining to watch.

[00:03:22] So, I do think that these matchups are entertaining and I think they provide a lot of intrigue.

[00:03:30] Right? Like there's a lot of things going on in these playoffs which for like the general

[00:03:37] enjoyment of talking about the games and thinking about how the games are going to play out.

[00:03:42] Like, I think it's got a lot to offer in terms of the actual gameplay.

[00:03:47] I recognize why some people might be a little concerned.

[00:03:53] I'm excited for this Texans Ravens game. I think it's going to be...

[00:03:58] I mean, CJ Straal, the Mar Jackson, Domingico, Rhyans on the other side of the Mar Jackson.

[00:04:04] Like, I think it's going to be a really exciting game and the other game obviously that everybody is

[00:04:11] excited for is Chiefs Bills. I don't actually think that that's going to be as close as people

[00:04:16] think it's going to be. I'm interested to see what your thoughts are there as well, but

[00:04:22] I think the sleeper and we've sort of been talking about them a little bit is this Packers 49ers

[00:04:28] game. I do not think that the potential big brother, little brother thing has nothing to

[00:04:36] at play there. So, I think there's really interesting and obviously the lion's dynamic of

[00:04:42] they've never been really in this position in most of our lifetimes. Like, this is sort of new

[00:04:48] for them and I am a little worried about them and a lot downspot if I'm being honest. So,

[00:04:57] I sort of think that these games are going to be a lot closer than the lions certainly make

[00:05:01] them think they are. And just like in the wild card, I think there's a lot of value on these

[00:05:07] underdogs. Yeah, it's going to be an interesting weekend. Let's hop into it. But

[00:05:18] let's start with I agree with you potentially the most fun matchup we have Lamar and the Ravens

[00:05:27] at home first Houston in the Texans. This is going to start us off to 30 on ESPN.

[00:05:34] The Ravens are favored by not nine and a half. What are your thoughts here, Ryan?

[00:05:42] Well, I think the first thing is how the Ravens respond to this by. So, I think typically these

[00:05:53] by teams come off and they're a little shaky a little bit. It's not necessarily that they

[00:06:00] look bad. It's just they are not as crisp those first 20 plays, the first scripted plays that

[00:06:08] typically you see a team really excel in and be like, oh it's this is going to be an easy drive.

[00:06:16] I think I could see the Texans looking sharper for the first half. And I think that this

[00:06:23] this Texans team is explosive. They're going to test this Ravens defense and I think that the

[00:06:33] Ravens are going to win this game but I think CJ Stroud is going to have a big game. I don't

[00:06:38] think he's going to have a rookie let down. I sort of think that this has shoot out potential

[00:06:44] which is exciting to think about. Yeah, I just am on guard here because I last weekend

[00:06:59] I knew and you as well we told you loyal listeners of the podcast we said hey take Packer's Money

[00:07:07] Line as well as that plus seven that plus seven is free money but the money line is pretty good odds.

[00:07:14] What did we see there? A coach in quarterback tandem that had been kind of shaky in the playoffs

[00:07:22] with McCarthy and Dac. And to your point, the Maureen Harbaugh have not been great in the playoffs

[00:07:32] and in this spot. Now new offensive coordinator you know sometimes it just takes a while for

[00:07:39] the luck to roll your way. Remember I mean less than 10 years ago when people were saying Andy

[00:07:46] Reed couldn't win big games you know the narrative changes quickly but I am on guard for that

[00:07:54] and over a touchdown Lamar is two and eight or I'm sorry he's only covered once as a favorite

[00:08:04] over a touchdown or more in his last 10 games. So I think this is too many points.

[00:08:12] I think that this is going to be a shootout. I think it's going to be awesome

[00:08:17] and I think the Texans are even if they're down 15 your backdoor cover is going to be so live.

[00:08:26] And so my first one give me strad in the Texans. I'm taking on plus nine and a half.

[00:08:34] What say you Ryan? I'm definitely taking on plus nine and a half. And I think just to like sort of

[00:08:40] hammer home your point right. If you look at let's see if let's work backwards right let's just

[00:08:48] look at their last couple of weeks of the regular season we'll throw out the Steelers game that

[00:08:54] didn't really have any meeting there. They kicked the absolute crap out of a dolphins team that

[00:09:02] was very injured. They beat a 49ers team on a short week that was coming off of an emotional win.

[00:09:10] They beat a Jaguars team that we all recognize now is fraudulent.

[00:09:15] They had to go to overtime with the Rams team that we recognize as a relatively good team right

[00:09:21] now. They beat the chargers 20 to 10. We recognize that the chargers are terrible. They beat a Joe

[00:09:29] Burrowless Bengals team 34 to 20. And then they got beat by the Browns. So like there's a fair bit

[00:09:38] of evidence that this team is not necessarily the like they won a lot of those games right which

[00:09:43] is obviously the goal you know I'm not picking them apart for winning games but I'm just saying that

[00:09:49] they didn't necessarily beat a juggernaut of gauntlet of teams to get to where they've gotten.

[00:09:54] It was sort of the rest of the AFC faded away in those last couple weeks and they just kept

[00:10:00] beating these bad teams which the other teams couldn't do. The Chiefs couldn't do it,

[00:10:04] the Bidolphins couldn't do it. They couldn't win against bad teams which is all they needed to do

[00:10:08] to take this number one see the way from the Braavans. Mark Andrews is not coming back you know like

[00:10:15] this team is dealt with their fair share of adversity here too and I think it is uh

[00:10:19] I think I've talked myself a little bit into the money line play here and I love the 9.5.

[00:10:27] I think and I think to your point that you mentioned I don't think you did it by accident.

[00:10:32] I think if you're going to play the 9.5 I think it's worth a sprinkle on the money line here.

[00:10:38] Yep okay so we are both locked in with the first game of the day.

[00:10:42] I also think that Nico Collins is going to have a big game if we're just looking at like a player

[00:10:47] prop if you're following our sort of game script of like this is going to be a shootout.

[00:10:53] This is going to be a high flying game and the techsons are going to be able to stay in it.

[00:10:59] Yeah he was unbelievable he was great so I think it's just uh that's another angle to sort of

[00:11:04] look at if you want if you're scared of the money line which is more my play of like I'm not

[00:11:09] going to play the money line live I'm going to hope that they get behind and I get a better number

[00:11:13] but I'm going to jump in on those player park markets that I think no matter what this team the

[00:11:19] Ravens are going to score points right so like they're going to have to throw the ball and Nico

[00:11:23] Collins is by far their best threat and he's sort of like a vintage wide receiver right now where

[00:11:28] he's always open and Stroud knows it so. Yep only thing that makes me scared here is uh dom team

[00:11:39] rookie quarterback on the road it's going to be cold um so it's there like a slam dunk pink

[00:11:46] and I'm not saying that it would shock me if the Ravens blew them out or if the Ravens won the

[00:11:51] Super Bowl like to be clear I think the Ravens are going to win the game and I think that the

[00:11:56] techsons are going to cover. I agree with you is there a world where Ryan says the Texans catch

[00:12:03] lightning and you know Lamar makes a few mistakes of course we're talking to Texans have enough

[00:12:09] I think talent to make that a possibility. It's one of those things where it's like it's your classic

[00:12:15] gamblers situation where you're talking about the value of the line as opposed to what you actually

[00:12:22] think is going to happen like I think there's an equal chance that I can get the the uh

[00:12:32] Texans at plus 330 before the game and then they get out to a lead on a rusty Ravens team I can

[00:12:41] cash that out at half time and bet it back on the Ravens like those are the type of things that

[00:12:46] and you know it's you might not have to it that's just how I see the game sort of playing out

[00:12:52] right like yeah so and I don't think you're going to be able to get that value necessarily immediately

[00:12:59] when the lines when the game starts you're going to be losing closing line value if the Texans

[00:13:05] jump out to an early lead and wish you would have had a pregame yeah I would also look at

[00:13:11] uh over here for longest completion for both uh both quarterbacks here uh the Houston Texan

[00:13:19] secondary just sucks and they're so bad the Ravens love to blitz so I wasn't aware of

[00:13:28] Del's longest completion is going to look like we're a little early in the week to be finding

[00:13:32] lines like that but that's the sort of stuff that I think you could definitely be looking at

[00:13:38] all right uh then we're moving on Saturday on Fox we have Green Bay visiting San Francisco

[00:13:46] and as I'm looking at it right now it's gone back up plus 10

[00:13:51] and uh I like the 49ers Kyle Shanahan's 4 and 0 straight up and against the spread at home in the

[00:14:04] divisional round uh he always kicks the ever loving hell out of LaFlora this is a compliment

[00:14:14] to love but I was literally when I was we're watching the Packers game at a bar I leaned over

[00:14:20] to the guy next being I said man that throw kind of reminded you are Rogers like you just bought

[00:14:25] just enough time he moved his arm angle and he hit a guy right on the spot and it's you know

[00:14:31] as a defense you go what the hell like that should be a negative play and you turned it into a 15

[00:14:36] yard game when he's got both feet off the ground Rogers did yeah it's like Aaron Rogers has done

[00:14:42] very bad against this defense and that includes in Lambo remember he was favored against them

[00:14:49] and got smoked so I just think this coaching mismatch is too big I think the 49ers are

[00:15:00] three heads and then some shoulders above everybody in the NFC uh I don't think it's particularly

[00:15:07] close at all I like this team here they've been able to rest up their stars and we've been saying

[00:15:15] it all year if Debo plays if Christian plays if I use plays if Kettle plays you're probably going to

[00:15:21] get your ass beat and that's I think that's for anyone in the NFL I don't even the Ravens

[00:15:29] I think if it was a Super Bowl you give Shanahan two weeks I think you're catching an L

[00:15:36] what's a you are you seemed intrigued yeah in the intro maybe by the Packers I mean I am intrigued right

[00:15:46] um in terms of like in theory I think uh eventually the floor is going to catch McVeh and he's just

[00:15:58] going to beat him and I yeah I don't think that's going to continue or not McVeh uh Shanahan but I

[00:16:08] I don't think it's going to be this week I think the talent of the 49ers is too overwhelming for

[00:16:14] this Packers team uh the Packers have been extremely impressive story the fact that they got the

[00:16:22] the visual round the year after they got rid of uh Aaron Rodgers is like some real just desserts

[00:16:29] I just think it sort of ends here I don't think it I think it's a great story I think it's great

[00:16:34] experience for love and I think the team will be better for it but I think they're probably going to

[00:16:41] uh this to me has the biggest blowout potential of the weekend um and I think it could just get

[00:16:48] you could get crooked quick here uh if love turns it over if there's a fumble like there's

[00:16:55] there's just so many ways that this 49ers team could beat you and I just I think it's eventually

[00:17:01] going to overwhelm them I I could see it being close at half but I I this line is really tough for me

[00:17:08] the 10 is a tough number uh you know I know you cheated last week so I'm tempted to just go on a

[00:17:15] different sportsbook and find a different line um but uh I think there were some nine and a half

[00:17:23] hanging around no I that affected to you it draft Kings is getting up to draft Kings is nine and a

[00:17:30] half right now um I think it does affect it a little bit I I think the 10 you're just saying

[00:17:38] you feel comfortable with the Niners yeah me as well yeah yeah yeah I I want the Niners at that

[00:17:43] nine and a half so I'll take the Niners minus nine and a half here with the caveat that like

[00:17:50] I could see some weird Packers shit happening where they end up losing by seven you know like

[00:17:54] I'm not going to be spending any of my hard earned money on this um so it's a be careful spot out

[00:18:00] there a little bit to me yeah I'm more tempted to find like an alternate spread and take the 49ers

[00:18:06] minus 20 and a half or something ridiculous it just being like uh I'm more tempted to

[00:28:43] to me because if it's just gonna be cold that's one thing if it's gonna be cold and wet that's

[00:28:49] another and I don't think the chiefs can can do another cold in wet game and still win like I

[00:28:57] think Pacheco is good enough but the the ability of um these receivers to get open

[00:29:11] is real like they're open they just have to catch the ball and I think

[00:29:18] they're probably going to have one of those games where they just catch the ball

[00:29:23] and my homes is good and Alan will make a mistake and McDormick will do something stupid

[00:29:30] and then you've got 200 000 bills fans within a 50 mile radius having a collective heart attack

[00:29:36] and that is just gonna be too palpable in the stadium like I just don't think that this

[00:29:42] that this situation is lining up in a bills fashion uh so

[00:29:47] and this chief's defense is good it's by far the most talented they've had on this defense so

[00:29:54] I think that their ability to sort of like scheme up something um they played a lot obviously

[00:30:02] so that's another factor to have to consider but I think between the coaching factor

[00:30:07] and just my trust in the homes I'm gonna take um I'm gonna take the chiefs here and I'm definitely

[00:30:14] taking plus the points that's crazy listen rally the wagon Stan play Josh Allen's music

[00:32:53] score uh on the road and that they are talented enough and while you talked about this uh

[00:33:02] uh chiefs team looking better on offense and being effective on defense they're not very good

[00:33:11] against the run and that's the reason why a lot of people had them including our podcast uh to cover

[00:33:20] that they thought they wouldn't be able to cover now the bills are running way more they've got

[00:33:24] Josh Allen the bills are now built in a traditional way to give the chiefs trouble because it's

[00:33:32] hey we're going to run a lot we have a quarterback who can make a few spectacular plays who can

[00:33:37] extend some plays and a defense that will bend but not break keep everything in front of them

[00:33:45] we've got veteran safety veterans back there and I just think that this chiefs team like you even

[00:33:53] look at it with the amount of field goals so they just didn't cover Rishi race the first time

[00:34:00] and then every other time in the red zone they couldn't score you're you're so many field goals

[00:34:06] you're talking about uh where's these Kelsey touchdowns well you're talking like you're like

[00:34:13] automatic you're talking like the bills just beat the 72 dolphins in the fucking wild card round

[00:34:21] they beat Mason Rudolph at home in a snowstorm like what are we talking about and they gave up

[00:40:52] genuinely think it might be 1710 at the end of this game um because I don't think without the aid

[00:40:58] of turnovers or big plays these are going to move down the field on one another the Bills are

[00:41:07] would you look at James Cook with like would you look at digging of those running props

[00:41:13] I might look at over rushing attempts that'd be something I'd want to keep an eye on uh I think he

[00:41:19] looks good and I think that they are going to try to hold onto that ball and their offensive line

[00:41:25] has unbelievable continuity despite the hell that their defense has gone through with continuity

[00:41:32] the problem is is that both of these teams are like almost two analytically minded

[00:41:38] so like they throw a lot on first down and if that's not successful which it hasn't been

[00:41:44] a lot then like that second down rush often it doesn't get that many yards and then you can't run

[00:41:51] on third down so those rushing attempts like all the all the props sort of get screwed up with these
