[00:00:00] Welcome to Make One Day Happen, the podcast that makes Woo Woo relatable for busy founders,

[00:00:11] leaders, executives and high performers who give a fuck about prioritizing themselves

[00:00:15] in their personal and professional development.

[00:00:18] I'm your host, Shenna Jean, and on this show we'll cover the bases on a lot of different

[00:00:21] topics that relate to energy management, mindset, leadership and all things Woo

[00:00:25] through solo episodes and dope-ass guest conversations.

[00:00:29] Our guest lineup is so fire and includes professional athletes, board-winning musicians,

[00:00:34] New York Times bestselling authors, thought leaders, CEOs, industry experts and more who

[00:00:38] share their stories about how they've been able to make their one day happen with a little

[00:00:41] bit of Woo in their journey.

[00:00:44] My promise to you is that after every episode, you'll leave energetically shifted with an

[00:00:48] elevated vibe and feeling hella grateful that you made some space for yourself along with

[00:00:52] some tangible things you can get into action with.

[00:00:54] So pull up a seat and let's get to it.

[00:01:02] Welcome back to the Make One Day Happen podcast.

[00:01:05] I'm your host, Shenna Jean.

[00:01:07] We're actually back y'all.

[00:01:09] Woo, we did it.

[00:01:10] There was a moment there for a while.

[00:01:13] I'm not sure that we were going to and we are.

[00:01:15] So I am so excited to bring you some fresh vibes.

[00:01:21] Did y'all hear that intro?

[00:01:22] Did you see that new podcast artwork?

[00:01:24] We got a whole new brand outfit for Make One Day Happen and I'm really excited to

[00:01:29] share a little bit about that creative process and what's been happening behind the scenes.

[00:01:35] I'm excited to share more what's ahead for Make One Day Happen in this episode.

[00:01:38] It's going to be a solo episode y'all.

[00:01:40] So buckle up and let's get to it.

[00:01:43] Oh, the creative process.

[00:01:45] Phew.

[00:01:47] It is so enlightening.

[00:01:51] This may be the best word to describe it.

[00:01:53] I'm so grateful for the partners that have been holding me through this process.

[00:01:59] Maria Camila, the photographer, videographer, creative strategist,

[00:02:03] extraordinaire that I know from my time in Phoenix.

[00:02:06] It was probably the concierge for this creative project.

[00:02:12] She introduced me to Hannah May of Maybe Studios and these two women have been just

[00:02:19] unbelievably amazing and really such a pleasure to work with.

[00:02:25] They have been helping me reinvent, let's say, the creative identity and

[00:02:32] visuals for Make One Day Happen.

[00:02:34] So this process started because of a book cover.

[00:02:37] I was working on the book cover last fall and running into a ton of frustration and

[00:02:43] like, whoa, this is not clear.

[00:02:45] Don't get it.

[00:02:46] None of it matches my Libra sun and my Virgo moon were freaking out.

[00:02:50] They're like, we just step back and really take a look at the brand itself and do some

[00:02:55] like deep soul searching with like what is this before we just go diving headfirst

[00:03:00] into a book?

[00:03:01] And so that's what I've been doing.

[00:03:02] I've really been taking the last six months to step back, reevaluate,

[00:03:06] really think down and get into the nitty gritty of what is Make One Day Happen?

[00:03:12] Why is it here?

[00:03:13] What is my purpose in it?

[00:03:15] And who is it for?

[00:03:16] What are we doing?

[00:03:17] All of the good things.

[00:03:18] And so there's going to be so much more coming out on this.

[00:03:21] And this process has really taken me to the edges of myself, y'all.

[00:03:26] When I say, oh, that it has felt like a push, a pull, a stretch, a marathon.

[00:03:35] It was something that I was like, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to cross this line with this.

[00:03:39] And we are just crossing the line in this last week.

[00:03:43] It's been incredibly, incredibly eye-opening to see where my patterns in programming and

[00:03:52] bullshit can still come into play.

[00:03:54] And what happens when you open yourself up to a creative process with other partners?

[00:04:00] And it's just been so dope, so dope.

[00:04:04] I am forever grateful for Hannah and for Camila really just holding me in a space of possibility

[00:04:13] and helping me pull what's kind of inside my brain down deep in my heart and my soul out

[00:04:19] into a way that helps me better express the vision that I have and the passion that I hold for this.

[00:04:27] So thank you, thank you, thank you a million times over to these two and or just their patience with

[00:04:33] me, their creative genius.

[00:04:35] It's just been such an incredible experience.

[00:04:38] So when I really think about like what is my purpose?

[00:04:43] What is my Dharma?

[00:04:45] Is what it's called in Sanskrit?

[00:04:47] Eke guy is what it's called in Japanese.

[00:04:51] This reason for being what is my assignment here on earth in this lifetime?

[00:04:56] I really recognize that I am here to raise the vibration of humanity's consciousness, like period.

[00:05:02] Doesn't matter what I'm doing.

[00:05:03] Doesn't matter if I'm doing it at work at home at play as a sister as an auntie as a coach.

[00:05:09] Whatever it is that I'm doing, ultimately my purpose is to be raising a frequency and a

[00:05:14] vibration.

[00:05:15] And if I can do that by bringing a smile to someone's face, by helping them have an aha

[00:05:21] moment that shifts the way that they're thinking or instill a new practice and behavior that

[00:05:27] shapes the trajectory of their life in a different direction.

[00:05:30] I am here for it.

[00:05:31] And that is really where make one day happen becomes a vehicle for me to be able to play

[00:05:37] with different ways of doing this with energy, with thoughts, with sound, with visions.

[00:05:42] And I'm so excited y'all for what this is going to look like going forward.

[00:05:48] The podcast was something that I started in 2020 and it was a COVID baby, like there's all the,

[00:05:55] you know, other COVID projects and actual babies in pets that were born.

[00:05:59] Mine was a podcast and began with this idea of really wanting to bring conversations with some

[00:06:05] of the incredible humans that I've been so privileged to work with as teachers and coaches

[00:06:10] and bosses and friends and have these conversations where we unpack some big ideas, share some of

[00:06:17] the things that I've been able to learn from them and integrate in my life that have really

[00:06:20] impacted me with others.

[00:06:22] We're going to still keep doing that best believe we'll still be having some guests

[00:06:26] and we are also going to switch a few things up on this little potty podcast if you will.

[00:06:33] We are getting really specific a on who this podcast is for.

[00:06:37] So at the end of the day, like it's for anyone and everyone.

[00:06:39] All right, so just know that this resonates with you.

[00:06:42] I want you here if you like my vibe stay and there's this whole thing of marketing where

[00:06:49] you're supposed to pick your niche and like really get specific about who your ideal client

[00:06:54] and target customer profile is blah, blah, blah.

[00:06:57] In my journey to really identifying that I've been very resistant to it.

[00:07:01] Let's just say that much is probably part of the recovering people pleaser in me that

[00:07:06] has a save the world mentality that makes it very hard for me to be like,

[00:07:10] this is only for these people.

[00:07:12] I fucking hate that.

[00:07:13] I like to be as inclusive as possible.

[00:07:16] So it makes it challenging for me to like pick one lane of people that I'm attempting to

[00:07:22] speak to or this could air quote before and it's finally time that I try at least try it on.

[00:07:29] So as I look back over my career and have gotten just like really clear here in Tulsa

[00:07:33] as well has been a phenomenal chapter for helping me clarify this.

[00:07:37] It became just so crystal clear that I have always been in a position of supporting founders,

[00:07:43] entrepreneurs and leaders.

[00:07:44] And so you're going to be hearing me use a lot more of that language going forward

[00:07:48] in order to make sure that my message and what it is that I do in the world is finding those people.

[00:07:55] Yo, what if I told you that you could have more time and energy by simply changing

[00:07:59] the way you speak about it?

[00:08:00] Mm hmm.

[00:08:02] Yeah, the average founder has a filthy word diet which impacts their energy levels,

[00:08:06] how much time they think they have and makes life harder than it actually needs to be.

[00:08:09] Upgrading your language with a word diet is a pro move and it creates energetic shifts

[00:08:14] instantly which give you access to more time, energy and ease in all areas of your life.

[00:08:19] Yeah, I am stoked AF to bring back the word diet workshop.

[00:08:23] Hey, it's going to be on Thursday May 23rd from 5 to 6 p.m. Central Standard Time online,

[00:08:29] which means yes, of course there will be a recording you can get.

[00:08:32] However, this is the only time I'm running this workshop this year so jump on it y'all.

[00:08:36] You will not be able to sign up and get that recording after the 23rd.

[00:08:40] So in this workshop we're going to cover the basics on why language is the foundation

[00:08:44] of your reality.

[00:08:45] I'm going to give you four dirty words to remove ASAP from your language

[00:08:49] and then teach you the two most important words that can help you create literally

[00:08:53] anything you want.

[00:08:54] So this workshop is for you with any of this resonates one,

[00:08:56] you never have enough time in the day and yes,

[00:08:58] you'd love to come to this workshop but you're too busy.

[00:09:00] Then you are definitely someone who needs a simple.

[00:09:02] Two, if you feel like you just can't catch a break because all the shit that keeps

[00:09:05] happening to you in life, please pull up.

[00:09:07] Three, if you're curious or maybe even a little heloskeptical on how changing a few words

[00:09:12] could change your reality, come through.

[00:09:14] Or if you don't know what to do next in a particular area of your business or your

[00:09:18] life and you feel stuck as fuck, I got you.

[00:09:21] Five, if you're so damn tired and wondering when life will ever feel less

[00:09:24] exhausted and overwhelming, please come to this workshop y'all.

[00:09:27] The word diet has nothing to do with what goes in your mouth,

[00:09:30] everything to do with what's coming out of it.

[00:09:32] And after this experience you're going to get more time,

[00:09:34] you're going to elevate your energy and you're going to go time traveling because

[00:09:38] yep, who doesn't want to do that?

[00:09:40] So y'all ready to clean up your word diet?

[00:09:42] It's 44 bucks for the workshop plus a recording,

[00:09:45] the word diet playbook and a virtual future self sound journey that's

[00:09:49] themed all around visualizing your life with a flawless word diet.

[00:09:53] So quit letting subconscious language and a poor word diet rob you of your time

[00:09:57] and energy.

[00:09:58] Link is in the show notes to sign up and I got a little code for you

[00:10:02] because you are a homie and have been supporting the podcast.

[00:10:06] I appreciate you so much.

[00:10:07] Use the code podcast, save 10 bucks.

[00:10:10] All right, let's get back to the show.

[00:10:12] So if you are any of the following, we want to really make sure that you are here,

[00:10:19] that this, you know that this podcast is for you and it is something that I'm

[00:10:26] really going to be speaking into.

[00:10:27] So one, if you're a founder, a leader, entrepreneur, you're 1000% my people

[00:10:31] and you are in the right place.

[00:10:33] Number two, if you're having trouble prioritizing yourself and putting yourself

[00:10:36] first before others and or your business, this is going to be a show you want to stay

[00:10:41] tuned into.

[00:10:42] Number three, if you are a little bit crispy, if you're close to that burnout,

[00:10:46] the B word, you're realizing that you need to do something different

[00:10:49] and you're not quite sure where to start, definitely stick around.

[00:10:53] This podcast is going to be really speaking to you.

[00:10:56] Number four, if you're looking for clarity, support and inspiration that you can

[00:10:59] really put into action quickly.

[00:11:01] I got you.

[00:11:02] This is your show.

[00:11:03] Number five, if you have a curious spirit, if you love learning new things

[00:11:07] and getting put onto new resources, other dope humans, great products

[00:11:12] that can help you step into a more elevated version of yourself and your leadership,

[00:11:17] then stay here.

[00:11:18] And last but definitely the most important, if you are interested in helping me

[00:11:22] create this ripple effect that elevates the vibration of human consciousness,

[00:11:25] like I need you here.

[00:11:27] So please, please, please stick around.

[00:11:30] How we're going to do this is really by amplifying the message of what it is

[00:11:35] that I teach.

[00:11:36] I have been so good.

[00:11:38] This is one of my giftings in life at being a hype woman.

[00:11:42] Like I'm just really good at hyping others up.

[00:11:44] It's one of my gifts and I love doing it.

[00:11:47] I love hyping people up about their business, what they're doing,

[00:11:50] putting spotlights on them and really lifting them up.

[00:11:53] And historically and transparently, it's actually been partly out of the fear of

[00:11:59] outshining an imposter syndrome that's really kept me from showing up

[00:12:02] and doing that for myself.

[00:12:04] And this is part of the programming, some patterns, some like vibes

[00:12:09] that I'm leaving behind with the old brand.

[00:12:13] And we're going to be bringing in some solo episodes.

[00:12:15] They're going to be bite-sized.

[00:12:16] They're going to be like 30 minutes or less.

[00:12:18] I'm actually going for 14-minute average so that it's something that you can put in your

[00:12:23] pocket.

[00:12:23] You can listen to it pretty quickly in one commute, be done with it,

[00:12:28] and walk away with something tangible or hear me share something vulnerable

[00:12:32] that I've learned from and give you an experience of more learning with me

[00:12:39] instead of us learning from other people together.

[00:12:42] That's still going to happen.

[00:12:42] We're still going to have some dope guests

[00:12:44] and we're going to be bouncing back and forth between solo episodes and guest episodes.

[00:12:48] But that is a change that's coming that I wanted to tell you about.

[00:12:51] So welcome to your not first solo episode, but first solo episode of the new season,

[00:12:56] the new era of Make One Day Happen.

[00:12:59] I'll be honest, these solo episodes, they are a stretch for me y'all.

[00:13:04] They pushed me outside of my comfort zone and I need that.

[00:13:07] I was getting just a little cozy and kind of standing behind everybody else

[00:13:11] and finding guests and hyping them up and doing that whole thing.

[00:13:14] So really looking forward to using this platform to amplify my thought leadership

[00:13:19] and my methodology.

[00:13:21] What?

[00:13:22] You get your own methodology, Sheena Jean?

[00:13:24] Why yes, yes I do.

[00:13:25] You probably just don't know that because I don't talk about it very often.

[00:13:28] That's about to change.

[00:13:31] We're also going to be calling in some very strategic and particular partnerships

[00:13:34] because I also love hyping up great brands and products.

[00:13:38] So expect to hear some extremely, extremely well vetted partnership ads from brands that

[00:13:44] I love and personally use and will only add value to your life if you choose to engage

[00:13:48] with them because yeah, this podcast has grown up.

[00:13:51] Our numbers are Spotify wrapped numbers from 2023 all were insane.

[00:13:58] Insane.

[00:13:59] And so I'm really excited at what we're going to be able to do when we bring in

[00:14:01] some partners help get these messages in more years and have a little bit of fun.

[00:14:06] Because let's be honest, it's fun having a brand crush on somebody and being able to

[00:14:11] kind of obsess over their product a little bit and how much you love it and what it does for you.

[00:14:15] So know that there's going to be some brand crush partnerships on the Z-way.

[00:14:21] And if you tune in, this is what I promise you that you'll be able to get.

[00:14:25] This is going to be a space where you have to pour into yourselves,

[00:14:27] spend some time with you, learn how to do that whole prioritizing self thing

[00:14:32] and get more energy and capacity so you can pour back into others.

[00:14:37] This is going to be a go-to development resource.

[00:14:39] I love being a resource.

[00:14:42] So I promise to keep all the resources coming and keep you hyped up because why would I not?

[00:14:49] And inspiration for what can often feel like a really lonely entrepreneurial journey.

[00:14:54] You're also going to get to understand more about my methodology and what is it?

[00:14:59] Okay, okay, I'll tell you.

[00:15:01] Energy, hygiene, thought reprogramming, elevated leadership.

[00:15:03] Those three pillars, I've got boot camps on an app that I'll be telling you about very soon.

[00:15:10] We've got workshops around all of these things.

[00:15:13] We've got playbooks coming out around all of these concepts.

[00:15:16] And I'm so excited to break this stuff down with you and give you a taste of what it's

[00:15:21] like to really get inside the world if make one day happen.

[00:15:24] There is something so annoyingly amazing that almost every single one of my clients has told

[00:15:31] me. When I ask for testimonials, they do this thing where they're like,

[00:15:34] it was life changing.

[00:15:36] I'm not of like, oh my God, I'm so humbled you guys.

[00:15:39] That's such beautiful feedback.

[00:15:42] And it sounds absurd.

[00:15:44] Like it sounds crazy for me to be like, why do life changing work with people?

[00:15:49] And the opportunity obviously for me here is to learn to embrace this and talk about

[00:15:55] it a little bit less bashfully.

[00:15:57] And also recognize that this is really life changing work.

[00:16:03] What we do at Make One Day Happen is really give people their power back.

[00:16:06] We give you your presence back.

[00:16:08] We give you your energy and your time back.

[00:16:10] We help you get into your own driver's seat so you can actually make one day happen,

[00:16:14] whatever that looks like for you.

[00:16:16] And it has changed people's lives.

[00:16:19] It's introduced them to new business partners.

[00:16:22] So they start entirely new ventures.

[00:16:24] It's introduced them to their life partners.

[00:16:26] It's given them babies.

[00:16:27] It's bought them houses.

[00:16:29] There's so many things that people have shared with me that have come from visions that they've had

[00:16:35] that we create while we're working together from practices and tools that they implement

[00:16:39] now on a regular basis because of our time together.

[00:16:42] And it's humbling as fuck y'all to hear time and time again how life changing this work is.

[00:16:49] It's also incredibly humbling to recognize that like I have the opportunity to really

[00:16:53] start talking about it in a bigger way to make sure that this reaches whoever needs it.

[00:16:58] So I'm at my 14 minute mark calling myself out, holding myself accountable.

[00:17:03] And just want to say thank you so much.

[00:17:07] Thank you.

[00:17:07] Thank you.

[00:17:08] Thank you.

[00:17:08] If this is your first episode that you've listened to of Make One Day Happen podcast,

[00:17:14] like thank you.

[00:17:15] If you have been rocking with me since 2020, like what?

[00:17:19] I'm just so grateful.

[00:17:22] And we're going to be covering all sorts of topics on these little solo double episodes.

[00:17:27] We're going to be covering all things considered.

[00:17:29] Woo, we'll be talking energy hygiene thought reprogramming elevated leadership.

[00:17:34] We're going to be talking nervous system regulation, somatic practices, cognitive

[00:17:38] practices, you know, probably some chiropractic care advocacy because it's life changing as well.

[00:17:45] And all sorts of different things.

[00:17:47] So you are going to be in for a treat if you choose to stick around.

[00:17:51] Thank you so much.

[00:17:53] I'm excited to hear what you're thinking and feeling about this new brand fit that we got going on.

[00:17:58] And really looking forward to the next episode.

[00:18:02] We've got some bangers already lined up.

[00:18:04] So make sure you keep your subscription notifications on, make sure that if this

[00:18:10] resonates with you, you share it with a friend and let me know anything that's

[00:18:14] really hitting home for you.

[00:18:16] I love you so much and excited to talk again soon.

[00:18:19] Bye y'all.

[00:18:26] Thank you so much for tuning into another episode of the make one day happen podcast.
