How To Be Part of A Solution In a World That is At War W/ Shenna Jean

In this episode host Shenna Jean sits down to share her thoughts on what's happening in the world around us in order to take a look at a solution for creating a future that does not currently exist.

This is an invitation to get uncomfortable and hold multiple perspectives on some things you may have not yet considered in this episode so that you can choose your own adventure at the end.

The intention is to acknowledge some of the pain & trauma occurring around the world and put a spotlight on a vision for our collective future one day and a solution that we can all be currently participating in order to make “one day” happen.

Some of my favorite moments from this episode:

⚡breaking down systems based thinking

⚡talking about the dark side of creativity

⚡gratitude for our creative partners & audience

[00:00:01] Welcome to Make One Day Happen, the podcast that makes WooWoo relatable for busy founders,

[00:00:11] leaders, executives and high performers who give a fuck about prioritizing themselves

[00:00:15] in their personal and professional development.

[00:00:17] I'm your host, Shenna Jean, and on this show we'll cover the bases on a lot of different

[00:00:21] topics that relate to energy management, mindset, leadership and all things Woo through

[00:00:25] solo episodes and dope ass guest conversations.

[00:00:29] Our guest lineup is so fire and includes professional athletes, award winning musicians,

[00:00:34] New York Times bestselling authors, thought leaders, CEOs, industry experts and more who

[00:00:38] share their stories about how they've been able to make their One Day Happen with a

[00:00:41] little bit of Woo in their journey.

[00:00:44] My promise to you is that after every episode, you'll leave energetically shifted with

[00:00:48] an elevated vibe and feeling hella grateful that you made some space for yourself along

[00:00:52] with some tangible things you can get into action with.

[00:00:54] So pull up a seat and let's get to it.

[00:01:01] Welcome back to the Make One Day Happen podcast.

[00:01:03] I'm your host Shenna Jean and today we're going to take a little bit of a left turn

[00:01:07] on the show.

[00:01:09] As I'm recording this and relaunching my business back into the world, the world is burning

[00:01:15] and it's got me feeling a lot of type of ways y'all.

[00:01:18] Yes, this podcast is about how to prioritize yourself and bring more woo woo and wellness

[00:01:23] into your life.

[00:01:24] And as a leader who's building companies that are changing the world, that's a

[00:01:27] super, super important thing to do.

[00:01:30] Ultimately, my purpose is to elevate the vibration of humanity's consciousness.

[00:01:35] So today I'm really going to go there because the collective vibes on earth right now.

[00:01:40] Ooh, y'all, they aren't that great, to be honest.

[00:01:44] Like our shit kind of stinks a little bit.

[00:01:46] And so I'm going to ask you to get uncomfortable with me and hold multiple perspectives

[00:01:51] on some things that maybe you haven't considered yet so that you can choose your own

[00:01:55] adventure at the end of this episode.

[00:01:57] Does that sound good?

[00:01:59] All right.

[00:02:00] So at the time of recording is the shortly after Memorial Day weekend.

[00:02:04] Here in America, that's the holiday where we honor our military and the people who

[00:02:09] have served and fought for our freedom.

[00:02:11] When the same weekend, we are 250 days into a war and Israel bombed Ra'afah funded

[00:02:17] with American tax dollars and supplied with American weapons and the death toll of

[00:02:22] Palestinian peoples over 36,000 at this point.

[00:02:25] There's also a lot going on and many other places in the world that aren't getting

[00:02:28] the same type of media representation and a lot of people aren't familiar with, right?

[00:02:33] So there is devastating conditions happening in Congo that have been happening for decades

[00:02:39] at this point that are fueled by our tech industry and our consumeristic behaviors

[00:02:43] as a society that have resulted in over six million people being killed since 1996.

[00:02:49] And it's displaced seven million more.

[00:02:51] Sudan is facing a hunger crisis that's on trajectory to kill 2.5 million children

[00:02:57] by September of this year.

[00:02:58] Like it's wild.

[00:03:00] Now, before you turn me off, this is not going to be an episode that's going into

[00:03:04] any more depth about that, right?

[00:03:07] And we've got to hold the problem before we can start to talk solutions.

[00:03:13] And this is going to be an episode talking about a solution, a solution,

[00:03:16] not the solution, right?

[00:03:17] A vision, not the vision for a future that doesn't currently exist that, however,

[00:03:22] I believe that we could make happen one day.

[00:03:24] There are some incredible humans, super heroes out there doing extremely noble and honestly

[00:03:30] traumatizing work of making us problem aware of the current state of affairs in the world.

[00:03:36] And for them, I am so truly grateful.

[00:03:38] So please Google, read, educate yourself about these issues.

[00:03:43] Be really mindful and think critically of all the sources that you're consuming

[00:03:46] and take your rest as you need it when you're taking in this kind of information

[00:03:50] about the world that we're living in.

[00:03:52] Yes, it can be said that we are living in one of the greatest times of humanity,

[00:03:57] which is absolutely true, right?

[00:04:00] And it's also really hard to ignore some of the atrocities that are happening

[00:04:05] right now in our world as well.

[00:04:07] As we've advanced in our technology, we're much more aware of what's happening

[00:04:12] in all the corners of the world.

[00:04:13] And as I navigate being a white woman in wellness with a platform that is speaking

[00:04:22] to futures, like I'm really listening and I've been in a lot of deep reflection

[00:04:27] to understand what my role and how I choose to show up in all of this.

[00:04:32] And it's been made very clear to me that my assignment in this madness

[00:04:36] is to keep my energy focused on a solution and amplify my voice for a vision

[00:04:40] of what's possible for humanity.

[00:04:43] So it takes some time to break down how I'm seeing where we're at

[00:04:47] at this current point in humanity and what's going on and what we can do about it, right?

[00:04:53] How that applies to us.

[00:04:54] I think it's very easy to get very overwhelmed in times like this,

[00:04:58] wondering what do we do to help?

[00:05:00] How do we help people that are halfway across the world?

[00:05:03] And what's any good gonna come from it if we donate here or post something there?

[00:05:08] Like, how do we actually move the needle in any of this?

[00:05:10] So here's where I'm at with all of this, right?

[00:05:14] At the end of the day, the world is at war for our resources.

[00:05:17] Resources are always at the bottom of any of this.

[00:05:20] And if you do your own research, understand what's happening in these different areas

[00:05:25] of the world that are experiencing some extreme trauma right now.

[00:05:28] It's yes, there's some political things and governments going at each other.

[00:05:34] And ultimately, at the end of the day, it all comes down to resources.

[00:05:37] And what I know to be true about resources is that our most precious resource

[00:05:41] that we all have as individuals is our energy, all right?

[00:05:46] When we start to think about the macro systems of the world that we're living in

[00:05:50] that hold things like war and violence and greed and hatred in place,

[00:05:55] those are also intimately linked to the micro systems of an individual

[00:05:59] as we are all at war with ourselves until we choose to go inwards and do our own inner work.

[00:06:05] The systems on all levels, right?

[00:06:08] Whether they're macro systems, micro systems,

[00:06:11] they're all held in place by our vibration, our energy and our frequency.

[00:06:15] And we're never going to be able to fully shift the shit show of a world that we're in

[00:06:20] until as individuals, we really start shifting ourselves.

[00:06:23] So before I go any further, I want to go on a little bit of a tangent about systems-based thinking.

[00:06:29] And maybe you've heard of this, maybe you haven't.

[00:06:32] Just a basic definition of what a system is, right?

[00:06:35] It's a set of things that are working together as parts of a whole

[00:06:38] and they're designed to get a specific output.

[00:06:40] And systems thinking is a way to approach issues by looking them as systems.

[00:06:46] Rather than considering only how to solve an immediate or isolated problem,

[00:06:50] you consider how all of the pieces connect to make the whole.

[00:06:54] And ideas of systems, there are systems everywhere, everywhere.

[00:06:59] As business owners, we are constantly looking to improve our systems

[00:07:04] so that we have more efficiency, so that we have a specific result

[00:07:08] that we're always getting by something being put in place.

[00:07:11] There are systems everywhere.

[00:07:13] There's transportation systems, there's the health care system,

[00:07:17] there is church systems, there are systems on all levels.

[00:07:22] And I have been down a deep ass rabbit hole on this the last four years,

[00:07:26] y'all really uncovering the connection that exists between all of these systems,

[00:07:30] down to the most basic system of a cell in our body.

[00:07:35] We've got trillions of those cells and then how they connect to our nervous system, right?

[00:07:40] Which I would say could also be called our energy system.

[00:07:44] Our nervous system is impacting our family systems.

[00:07:47] We all have a family system that we belong to.

[00:07:49] And then that family system is reaching out into our community systems,

[00:07:54] churches, neighborhoods.

[00:07:56] Then we move into workplace systems, right?

[00:07:58] All of those things that exist within workplace and capitalism.

[00:08:04] We've got our societal systems, we've got global systems.

[00:08:07] Ultimately, it all loops back into a universal solar system and so on.

[00:08:11] Like it's a mindfuck when you really start to look through the world as systems.

[00:08:16] And humans are like a computer, right?

[00:08:20] A computer is also made up of systems that run it.

[00:08:23] And our code, the code or the programming that's executing commands in that process

[00:08:29] to get the result is through our nervous system.

[00:08:32] It's linked in our energy, it's in our thoughts and it's in our visions.

[00:08:36] The nervous system is such a key part of what's happening in the world right now

[00:08:42] that it's really important we pay attention to our own specific nervous systems.

[00:08:47] And right now, the majority of humanity is operating on systems

[00:08:52] that have them running around with stinky ass energy vibes.

[00:08:55] They don't have any existence, you know, energy hygiene practices is what I call them.

[00:08:59] Things to take care of that energy were dysregulated in our nervous system.

[00:09:03] And then when we're dysregulated, that dysregulates people around us

[00:09:07] if they're not practicing good energy hygiene behaviors.

[00:09:11] And then that's when we stay focused and fixated on problems and our thoughts.

[00:09:16] It's just creating more of that instead of saying,

[00:09:19] focused on solutions and where we'd like to go.

[00:09:22] So when we start to take responsibility for knowing how to shift our energy,

[00:09:27] how to reprogram our subconscious beliefs and narratives,

[00:09:30] and when we can hold a vision for the future that we desire to build,

[00:09:34] then we get to really start moving the needle of what we're seeing happen in this world.

[00:09:39] So if you're wondering what the fuck to do in a world that's burning down

[00:09:44] and if you've got the privilege of living in America and listening to podcasts

[00:09:48] on your newest iPhone while sleeping peacefully with your families at night

[00:09:52] and going to work in your electric cars and building businesses

[00:09:55] that are having an impact in the world,

[00:09:58] I really beg of you to consider how by not doing your own inner work,

[00:10:02] you're complicit in the problems of our world

[00:10:04] because what's happening for one of us is happening for all of us.

[00:10:09] If we aren't in our own shit and figuring out the war that's going on in our heads,

[00:10:14] it's simply a reflection of what's happening individually

[00:10:18] is what's happening collectively right now.

[00:10:20] So if you aren't meditating yet, I respectfully ask you to sit your ass down.

[00:10:25] Learn how to be with the war that's happening in your own head.

[00:10:28] That is so important.

[00:10:30] If you aren't regularly practicing gratitude

[00:10:32] for the insane amount of blessings that we have over here

[00:10:35] and instead your head space is filled with consumptive thoughts

[00:10:38] on never having enough and how to get more,

[00:10:41] then recognize that you're actually a part of the problem.

[00:10:43] If we don't have a clear vision and defined values

[00:10:46] to really root us in our own alignment,

[00:10:49] trust that those macro systems are providing them for you

[00:10:53] in order to keep you in the power and the profit

[00:10:55] that we've already given them.

[00:10:57] If you're not examining and investigating your head space

[00:11:01] for those negative thought patterns

[00:11:03] that are rooted in low vibrational emotions

[00:11:05] and reprogramming them with just basic neuroscience practices

[00:11:09] to update your own operating system and programming code,

[00:11:13] honestly, I'm gonna be a little bit dramatic right now

[00:11:15] and say that blood is on our hands if we're not doing that

[00:11:18] because one of us is all of us.

[00:11:21] We cannot move this if you're still at war with yourself

[00:11:26] because if you're at war with yourself,

[00:11:28] then we can't be at peace with each other, right?

[00:11:32] We're all interconnected.

[00:11:34] I know this is a lot.

[00:11:37] I'm gonna be implementing a lot more breath exercises

[00:11:40] into these podcasts

[00:11:41] because hey, it is something that keeps me regulated.

[00:11:45] So let's take a few breaths together real quick.

[00:11:47] I want you to do two short sharp inhales,

[00:11:50] filling yourself past full and then a long slow exhale.

[00:11:53] So it's gonna sound like this.

[00:12:00] Okay, good.

[00:12:00] Let's do that again.

[00:12:06] So now you're probably sitting here thinking like,

[00:12:09] is this bitch really asking me to meditate right now

[00:12:12] while the world is burning down?

[00:12:14] Yes, yes I am.

[00:12:15] And I'm gonna share a little bit about where I'm at

[00:12:17] in my own journey to help connect the dots

[00:12:19] before I get to sharing a vision.

[00:12:21] In one of the very early episodes of this podcast,

[00:12:24] I talk with Kate Gerstberger.

[00:12:26] She's my thought reprogramming mentor.

[00:12:28] And I share the journey of how I uncovered

[00:12:31] my first subconscious belief

[00:12:34] that I have been reprogramming now for seven years.

[00:12:39] And it's this belief that if I'm not heard,

[00:12:42] then I'm not valuable.

[00:12:43] And my anti-thought for that thought pattern, right?

[00:12:47] Is whether or not you hear me, I am valuable.

[00:12:49] Whether or not you hear me, I am valuable.

[00:12:51] Whether or not you hear me, I am valuable.

[00:12:53] And I use this thing to run thought defense

[00:12:56] on myself often.

[00:12:58] And there are seasons of life where it's really present.

[00:13:01] There are seasons of life where it's really dormant.

[00:13:03] And I am currently in a season of life

[00:13:06] where it's been really present for me.

[00:13:07] It's been really present.

[00:13:09] And our subconscious patterns and thoughts

[00:13:13] are running the show.

[00:13:14] And this thought specifically this one,

[00:13:17] I can trace back to so many different areas of my life

[00:13:20] and how it's shown up before I was conscious about it

[00:13:23] since I've been conscious of it.

[00:13:25] And when I got my little button pushed

[00:13:27] and I can be triggered in certain situations,

[00:13:30] I know the energetic tone of that one.

[00:13:32] And I'm able to recognize it.

[00:13:35] Sometimes it's in the moment or after the moment.

[00:13:38] And sometimes it's before.

[00:13:39] That's part of the journey of being with our own selves.

[00:13:43] And it is something that has wreaked a lot of havoc

[00:13:48] in my life to be honest, y'all.

[00:13:49] It shows up in every single area.

[00:13:52] It's not just like I have one thing

[00:13:54] and it doesn't show up at work

[00:13:55] and it's just over here in this one relationship.

[00:13:57] No, it shows up everywhere.

[00:13:59] It shows up in family situations.

[00:14:01] It shows up in my work right now.

[00:14:03] And I think bringing this podcast back online,

[00:14:06] bringing Make One Day Happen back out into the world

[00:14:09] in a new way,

[00:14:10] honestly pushed the button of this little trigger for me

[00:14:12] in a way that I didn't see coming.

[00:14:14] It's been beautiful to experience

[00:14:19] and witness how much I've grown in this area.

[00:14:21] And it's also been really humbling

[00:14:23] to recognize the next level of growth in it

[00:14:26] and continuing to step over this fucking lie.

[00:14:29] It's a lie.

[00:14:30] I know that my value is not tied

[00:14:33] to actually hearing this podcast right now.

[00:14:35] However, in the moments,

[00:14:37] it can feel very real to me,

[00:14:39] even if I know that it's not what it is.

[00:14:42] And we all have wars like this with ourselves

[00:14:45] and we all have multiple versions of this going on

[00:14:48] in our heads at our own time.

[00:14:49] And once you start to think about back

[00:14:51] to that system-based thinking,

[00:14:54] like if I've got that going on,

[00:14:56] if you've got that going on,

[00:14:57] if your partner does,

[00:14:58] if your co-founder at work does,

[00:15:01] if your sister does,

[00:15:03] if you're...

[00:15:04] It's everywhere, right?

[00:15:07] Everybody's got these same things

[00:15:09] that are happening in their head.

[00:15:10] And the more that we repress,

[00:15:11] the more that we deny it,

[00:15:12] the more that we numb it out,

[00:15:14] the more it leaks out in gross ways.

[00:15:16] And it leaks out the energy into the rest of the systems.

[00:15:22] It's a very interesting time here in Tulsa.

[00:15:25] Tulsa, Oklahoma is where I'm currently based.

[00:15:27] And a little over 100 years ago in 1921,

[00:15:31] we're coming up on the anniversary

[00:15:32] of the Tulsa Race Massacre,

[00:15:34] which is the largest act of terrorism

[00:15:37] on American soil that most Americans don't know about.

[00:15:41] And it was our own national guard

[00:15:43] that was dropping bombs on the most thriving

[00:15:46] and prosperous black neighborhood in America at the time,

[00:15:49] the middle of Klan country,

[00:15:50] and killed over 300 people.

[00:15:53] And it has me just really seeing like,

[00:15:56] this is trauma in this land

[00:15:58] that hasn't fully been dealt with, right?

[00:16:01] This is something that is still,

[00:16:03] the impacts are impacting this community

[00:16:06] and the lives of the families that were here

[00:16:08] and the lives of the families that come here

[00:16:11] in a way that is undeniable.

[00:16:14] And the form of denial that exists in America

[00:16:18] is really unique.

[00:16:20] It's really unique.

[00:16:21] And it blocks us from being able to access

[00:16:25] what is happening when we're not willing

[00:16:27] to sit down and look with patterns

[00:16:30] for ourselves as individuals,

[00:16:32] for towns with historical traumas.

[00:16:36] We're never gonna be able to get to a place

[00:16:38] on a collective level where we can fully heal

[00:16:41] what's happening and what we're seeing on our news feeds

[00:16:43] and what we're seeing all across the globe right now.

[00:16:48] There has to be a reckoning with the pattern

[00:16:50] for it to shift, there has to be.

[00:16:52] Otherwise patterns do two things.

[00:16:54] There's two options with patterns.

[00:16:55] You can either repeat a pattern

[00:16:57] or you can repair a pattern, that's it.

[00:16:59] And in order to repair it,

[00:17:00] you gotta sit down and really be with it first.

[00:17:03] Now, an interesting thing to just call out

[00:17:07] about the healing journey,

[00:17:09] it's very easy to get stuck in the healing,

[00:17:14] the ing of it versus just claiming being healed.

[00:17:18] And it's a fine line that we get to figure out

[00:17:21] for ourselves and what that looks like.

[00:17:22] And what I mean by this is once people start going

[00:17:24] on personal inner work journeys,

[00:17:27] there's a lot of times where they can get stuck

[00:17:29] in their trauma, they can get stuck

[00:17:31] in the process of letting go.

[00:17:33] And what's often missing when that's the case,

[00:17:37] if we're just stuck in this area of repeating cycles

[00:17:40] is we're missing focusing on what we do want.

[00:17:43] We're so focused on what we don't want,

[00:17:45] which is in part to the negativity bias

[00:17:47] that exists within all of us

[00:17:50] that we're just continuing looping on the pattern

[00:17:53] just with an expanded awareness of it.

[00:17:55] And then that awareness of the pattern

[00:17:58] is impacting our energy, that energy is leaking out

[00:18:01] into all of the systems and so on and so forth.

[00:18:03] It just keeps repeating.

[00:18:05] And so when I think about a solution to how,

[00:18:09] A, I wanna show up at this point in humanity

[00:18:12] and serve in a way that feels aligned with my soul

[00:18:16] and spirit and what I'm hearing to be told to do

[00:18:19] is really to help us recognize how to identify

[00:18:22] and reprogram patterns,

[00:18:24] but also most importantly, how to hold a vision.

[00:18:27] Because if we're not holding visions

[00:18:29] of what we do want to happen,

[00:18:31] then we're gonna stay stuck

[00:18:32] in the what's happening part of things.

[00:18:35] So we really have to focus on getting clear,

[00:18:38] like what does a vision for a whole world look like?

[00:18:41] What does a vision for my life look like

[00:18:44] when I am no longer afraid to express myself

[00:18:48] and know that my worthiness is not attached

[00:18:50] that I get to sit down and be with myself

[00:18:52] and reimagine what that looks like in my relationships.

[00:18:54] I get to reimagine how that looks like

[00:18:57] when I show up on a podcast or on social media.

[00:18:59] I get to re-vision and re-forecast what's coming for me

[00:19:05] unless I stay stuck in that like,

[00:19:06] oh, I've got this pattern, I've got this pattern,

[00:19:09] I've got this pattern.

[00:19:10] So this is, I hope this is all,

[00:19:13] I hope you all are tracking with me here

[00:19:14] on how it's all intimately, intimately connected.

[00:19:17] And I have a vision that one day we could live

[00:19:22] in a world free of isms and free of war.

[00:19:25] I have a vision where one day we can move out of hustle

[00:19:28] and grind culture and into alignment flow.

[00:19:31] I know that one day we could center purpose first

[00:19:34] so then we can all profit.

[00:19:36] And I truly believe that it is possible in our lifetime

[00:19:40] if we get a critical mass of leaders

[00:19:42] that are taking this work on first and foremost

[00:19:44] for themselves in themselves,

[00:19:47] and then they're spreading this type of knowledge

[00:19:49] in their company cultures and with their families

[00:19:51] and in their communities,

[00:19:52] we can create an energetic ripple effect

[00:19:55] that elevates the vibration of humanity's consciousness.

[00:19:59] So there's been so many times,

[00:20:02] there's still times where I'm like,

[00:20:04] maybe we just need to go fight club on this shit

[00:20:06] and burn it all down and start all over.

[00:20:09] And honestly, if we don't start leaning into this work

[00:20:12] a little bit more quickly,

[00:20:13] like it's clearly burning anyways.

[00:20:15] What I want you to really hear from this episode

[00:20:18] is that you doing your inner work has so much more

[00:20:22] of an impact than you may have ever imagined.

[00:20:25] It is such a privilege to have time to scroll on Instagram

[00:20:30] and watch this shit instead of be living in a war zone.

[00:20:33] It is a privilege to listen to this podcast

[00:20:37] on your fancy ass tech device

[00:20:39] that children died to create.

[00:20:41] It's a privilege that we have the time and space

[00:20:44] to start doing some of this energetic work

[00:20:47] that the world so desperately needs us to do right now.

[00:20:51] The mental health crisis for Americans

[00:20:53] is rooted in our unique flavor of denial,

[00:20:56] first and foremost of ourselves.

[00:20:59] We are at war with each other

[00:21:01] simply because we're at war with ourselves.

[00:21:03] This is all we've ever known, right?

[00:21:05] As a species has been a lot of violence in war

[00:21:11] and as we move into, you know,

[00:21:14] age of Aquarius is a thing.

[00:21:16] I'm not an expert in it.

[00:21:17] I've learned a little bit about it

[00:21:19] and not enough to speak and educate here on it,

[00:21:24] but we're shifting at a point in humanity

[00:21:26] where the more people who take on the work,

[00:21:33] the lighter the vibration gets here, right?

[00:21:35] Like trauma, shame, guilt,

[00:21:38] those are all the heaviest vibrationally emotions

[00:21:41] that exist and we hold emotions in our body.

[00:21:44] When we don't fully process emotions,

[00:21:46] when we numb them out, when we stuff them,

[00:21:47] when we don't deny them, our body holds onto that

[00:21:49] and then we're resonating.

[00:21:51] We're vibrating.

[00:21:52] Our frequency is pushing out

[00:21:54] and attracting more of that back to us.

[00:21:57] It's just energetic principles, right?

[00:21:59] This is like physics at this point

[00:22:00] and we know that everything in the world is energy

[00:22:03] and so if we're seeing this reflection

[00:22:05] on a collective level of what's happening

[00:22:07] and wondering like, what the fuck do I do?

[00:22:09] Like do your inner work?

[00:22:11] Like that's the answer.

[00:22:13] So this is the choose your own adventure

[00:22:15] part of the episode, right?

[00:22:17] Here it is.

[00:22:19] Be a part of the problem or be a part of the solution.

[00:22:21] It's really that simple.

[00:22:23] Do your inner work.

[00:22:24] Learn how to take care of your energy.

[00:22:25] Know how to regulate your nervous system.

[00:22:27] Actively be reprogramming thought patterns

[00:22:30] that are no longer serving you or the collective

[00:22:33] and use visualization, sound.

[00:22:35] There's so many ways to align yourself to a future

[00:22:38] that you'd rather be living in

[00:22:40] than the one that you're currently at

[00:22:42] and practice gratitude for the one

[00:22:44] that you're currently at, right?

[00:22:46] Like gratitude alone could shift a lot

[00:22:48] if we all really lean into it

[00:22:50] or don't do any of this, right?

[00:22:52] That is absolutely a choice.

[00:22:54] You can continue to avoid it.

[00:22:56] You can deny it.

[00:22:56] You can repress it.

[00:22:57] You can stay burnt the fuck out with your bad vibes.

[00:23:00] You can stay overwhelmed and paralyzed

[00:23:02] and anxiety looping on shitty thoughts

[00:23:04] and frustrated with why everything

[00:23:06] and everyone around you is the way it is

[00:23:08] and if that's what you choose,

[00:23:10] like that's absolutely, that's your choice.

[00:23:13] Good luck out there with a whole lot of love.

[00:23:16] Good luck.

[00:23:17] If you're choosing the be a part of the solution option,

[00:23:20] like I am here to help.

[00:23:22] I'm gonna be giving plenty of opportunities

[00:23:24] to get in action with it over

[00:23:27] the next coming weeks, months

[00:23:28] and just as Make One Day Happen continues to unfold

[00:23:32] and the last four years for me have really been

[00:23:37] in terms of Make One Day Happen,

[00:23:39] figuring out it's been a windy ass road,

[00:23:41] trying to create a simple methodology

[00:23:44] and a strategy to give people foundational knowledge

[00:23:46] and tools to do all of this

[00:23:48] and figuring out how to get this out at scale, right?

[00:23:52] So I've gotten to that place

[00:23:54] where it's dialed into three pillars.

[00:23:57] First is energy hygiene,

[00:23:58] teaching people what that means,

[00:24:00] what it entails, how to do it

[00:24:02] and that's really just the idea

[00:24:03] of taking care of your nervous system,

[00:24:05] taking care of your energy,

[00:24:06] recognizing that it's your responsibility to do so

[00:24:09] and the greater systems that are in power

[00:24:11] have hijacked us.

[00:24:12] They have literally harvested our energy.

[00:24:15] They have hijacked us in a way

[00:24:18] that can be really tough to see when we're fully in it.

[00:24:21] As we claim sovereignty of our bodies

[00:24:23] and our own systems,

[00:24:25] we get to start shifting things.

[00:24:27] Thought reprogramming is the second pillar

[00:24:29] because if we're not dealing

[00:24:30] with the shitty thoughts in our heads,

[00:24:32] like I shared about mine,

[00:24:33] it's affecting everything.

[00:24:34] It's affecting everything

[00:24:35] and that's where a lot of these subconscious beliefs,

[00:24:38] if we all have a belief

[00:24:39] that racism is never gonna end in our generation,

[00:24:42] guess what?

[00:24:43] It's never gonna end in our generation.

[00:24:45] We have to start really critically thinking

[00:24:47] about what we're saying to ourselves about ourselves,

[00:24:50] what we're saying to ourselves about each other

[00:24:53] and about the world that we live in, right?

[00:24:56] The third pillar has to do with visions and values

[00:24:59] and elevated leadership,

[00:25:00] knowing how to create a powerful vision,

[00:25:03] knowing how to choose it again and again,

[00:25:05] knowing how to align back to it when we fall out of it.

[00:25:09] So those are like the three core pillars

[00:25:11] that we'll really be getting into the meat of

[00:25:14] on the podcast and upcoming solo episodes

[00:25:17] and one of the things I've really been focused on

[00:25:22] in my work is making it accessible.

[00:25:23] That's very important to me.

[00:25:24] There's a lot of gatekeeping, whitewashing,

[00:25:27] toxic positivity happening in the wellness industry

[00:25:29] that I'm just not fucking here for

[00:25:31] and is also a part of the problem, right?

[00:25:33] So figuring out how to create multiple options

[00:25:35] to get this knowledge out there

[00:25:36] to anyone who's ready to do the work

[00:25:38] no matter where they are in their journey

[00:25:40] has always been priority.

[00:25:42] I want you to think of this methodology

[00:25:45] as a flashlight and a map

[00:25:47] for your choose your own adventure.

[00:25:49] There's not one right way to do it.

[00:25:51] I think there are so many ways

[00:25:52] to go about taking care of yourself,

[00:25:54] taking care of your mental,

[00:25:56] your energy, your nervous system

[00:25:57] and the ways that I share with people,

[00:26:01] there's a lot of choose your own adventure inside of it

[00:26:02] and I know it gets results.

[00:26:04] It works time and time and time again.

[00:26:06] So some of the options that you guys have

[00:26:08] to if you're like, okay, fuck,

[00:26:10] I'm ready to be a part of the solution.

[00:26:11] How do I get started?

[00:26:12] First, subscribe to the podcast.

[00:26:14] Keep this in your regular rotation

[00:26:16] so that you can get this knowledge

[00:26:17] in your conscious awareness

[00:26:18] and in your energetic field, right?

[00:26:21] Second, you can download the Make One Day Happen app.

[00:26:24] It's there, it's here, it's there, it's everywhere.

[00:26:28] If you wanna access a sound library

[00:26:30] that has guided visualization, sound bass,

[00:26:32] breath work exercises, subliminal reprogramming tracks.

[00:26:36] If you're like, what the fuck is that?

[00:26:37] There's gonna be a whole podcast episode

[00:26:39] in a few weeks about it.

[00:26:40] So sit tight.

[00:26:41] So that way you can start to regulate

[00:26:43] your own nervous system

[00:26:44] and start flipping the script on your inner narratives.

[00:26:47] Third, I've got monthly live and virtual workshops

[00:26:50] so that you can go deeper on the topics

[00:26:52] that are really resonating for you most

[00:26:54] and you can catch a future self sound journey.

[00:26:57] That's where I pair guided visualization

[00:26:59] and sound healing together.

[00:27:01] It's a whole vibe.

[00:27:02] And yeah, you guessed it.

[00:27:04] There'll be a podcast episode on that as well.

[00:27:06] What I've learned in my, gosh, what's it?

[00:27:10] Like 15 plus years in the personal development

[00:27:13] and wellness industry is that reading all of the books,

[00:27:16] listening to the podcasts, attending conferences

[00:27:18] to gain more knowledge is crucial, right?

[00:27:21] Like that's where the journey starts.

[00:27:22] And it's some level one type shit

[00:27:24] where we all start out at.

[00:27:25] If you wanna actually integrate and embody knowledge,

[00:27:28] you gotta go to the level two type shit,

[00:27:30] which happens when you add community

[00:27:32] and accountability to the mix.

[00:27:33] Like that is where things really start

[00:27:36] to click into place for you.

[00:27:38] So I'll be announcing the Mod Squad soon.

[00:27:40] It's a group coaching cohort

[00:27:42] that will move you through the three pillars

[00:27:44] in three months.

[00:27:45] So if you want more info about when that's gonna drop,

[00:27:48] there's a wait list link

[00:27:49] that'll be in the show notes you can grab.

[00:27:51] I do one-on-one clients

[00:27:53] if you are really trying to get some custom support

[00:27:55] and getting there quick.

[00:27:57] And I work with companies to bring these workshops

[00:27:59] and this information into company culture.

[00:28:01] We spend so much time at work, y'all.

[00:28:03] And there are so many dysregulated company systems

[00:28:09] and company cultures out there.

[00:28:10] So if you are ready to bring this into the workplace

[00:28:14] and start shifting the vibes literally at your job

[00:28:17] and with your team, let me know.

[00:28:19] Personal, professional development, same shit, y'all.

[00:28:22] Same shit.

[00:28:23] And yeah, the book is coming.

[00:28:25] It'll be on the list of things

[00:28:27] that I get to in the near future.

[00:28:28] And for now, hopefully you see why,

[00:28:30] what else I've been building and working on

[00:28:32] and have been prioritizing in the meantime.

[00:28:34] So thank you for being here.

[00:28:37] Thank you for your presence.

[00:28:38] Thank you for your energy, for your time.

[00:28:40] I know how precious it all is.

[00:28:41] And I'm truly, truly, truly grateful for you.

[00:28:44] I love this shit out of you

[00:28:45] no matter which adventure you choose in life.

[00:28:48] I know it's heavy out there.

[00:28:49] So please take care of yourself.

[00:28:51] Rest, reach out if you'd like to connect

[00:28:54] on this idea more, if you'd like to offer new perspectives,

[00:28:57] share sources.

[00:28:59] I'm here for it.

[00:28:59] I'm here for all of it.

[00:29:01] So thank you again for being here.

[00:29:03] Now get out there, go do something your future self

[00:29:06] will love you for today.
