Sara shows up out of the blue to rescue Noah, but they're not out of the woods yet. They're being pursued by something both smarter and stronger than soldiers and their only hope is being able to outsmart it as they put distance between them and the thing hunting them.

[00:01:20] Why are you doing this questions?
[00:01:23] You're questioning me. You're questioning me. Oh
[00:01:28] Oh
[00:01:30] No, no, no, no, I'm not
[00:01:32] Whole move. Yeah, I'll move just just stop hitting me. You move your ass and I won't have to March
[00:01:39] You really went for it back there
[00:01:44] Unauthorized access to commands gunshots in the kitchen and one soldier wildly out of line
[00:01:51] This is my floor my letter
[00:01:55] What do you have to say for yourself? Oh, thank you would be nice a
[00:02:00] Thank you
[00:02:02] You killed a cook
[00:02:04] Took another one what hostage?
[00:02:08] Present your smart band. So I know exactly whose ass I'm sending packing
[00:02:13] You delay me any longer and you'll be packing yourself. This isn't a hostage
[00:02:17] He's the result of a direct order to capture a loose test subject now take a step back missy
[00:02:23] You're dangerously close to standing on my dick
[00:02:26] I am tasked with that order and yet I have him if you have more questions at least take them on the move
[00:02:33] I don't like to waste time
[00:02:35] move
[00:02:36] under whose order
[00:02:38] You know exactly who made the order they needed results which wasn't happening. I haven't been twiddling my fucking thumbs
[00:02:44] We've been hot on his tail
[00:02:46] Mm-hmm so hot that I literally walked him up to you and you didn't realize I didn't assume he'd be in custody
[00:02:53] That's why they sent me
[00:02:54] You shouldn't be making assumptions at all
[00:02:57] You're hunting a loose end that has evaded capture by some of our best teams
[00:03:01] He and his little friend have survived levels of this facility filled with horrors beyond your comprehension
[00:03:07] You're not equipped to be making assumptions
[00:03:10] Jesus you say something nothing
[00:03:13] Open the door. I
[00:03:15] Don't have not you Oh him. You don't have a key
[00:03:19] Like you said, it's your floor
[00:03:22] Open it. Do not forget with whom you speak. I
[00:03:26] Outrank you you think that matters here rank all that stands between you and the bottom of the shaft is my story
[00:03:34] Did you help capture the runaway you were tasked with or did you hinder it now open the door, please?
[00:03:43] Not you why
[00:03:45] You just heard me say how dangerous he is and now you want to risk locking us both inside with him. I didn't think no
[00:03:52] You didn't
[00:03:54] What's this room used for?
[00:03:56] weapons testing which means
[00:03:59] it's soundproof and
[00:04:01] And
[00:04:03] And the whole place is bulletproof fireproof and hopefully lab rat proof
[00:04:08] Lock me in him in here and I'll bang on the door when I'm ready to come out
[00:04:12] I'll bang on the door when I'm ready to come out
[00:04:15] Good
[00:04:18] Yeah
[00:04:19] Good now radio and exactly who we have and where we have him. This is still not where I'd like to interrogate him my toys
[00:04:27] understood just
[00:04:29] knock
[00:04:31] Am I good or am I good what the hell Sarah I was beginning to think they turned you I asked you to trust me
[00:04:38] Yeah, but then you kicked and manhandled. I needed to sell it. You might have broken a rib
[00:04:44] Feel it trying to heal. I'm sorry
[00:04:46] But when I threw this uniform on people started treating me differently like like they were scared
[00:04:51] Yeah, because for all we know this is the modern Gestapo uniform. You were terrifying. Did I sell it sell it?
[00:04:58] That guy is changing his pants right now you destroyed him good
[00:05:01] But we don't have a lot of time. Yeah, well when you brought me here
[00:05:05] I was hoping you'd have a plan, but I don't see how locking me up helps
[00:05:08] It doesn't but I knew the longer we stayed in the hallways the more likely we'd attract attention
[00:05:13] Like you said on Gestapo and all that
[00:05:16] So what now I was hoping you'd have a plan me
[00:05:20] You just marched my ass here. I had to march you somewhere. What do we normally do?
[00:05:25] Normally, what do we normally do?
[00:05:28] We don't normally do anything Sarah because we aren't normally captives in an underground facility, but we've been cornered before
[00:05:35] yeah, but not in a bulletproof firing range and
[00:05:38] Usually there's a vent event perfect. How is that perfect? Do you smell gunpowder?
[00:05:45] No, so they must ventilate the space somehow
[00:05:48] Likely in the ceiling well look maybe it isn't no all I'm seeing your ceiling fence
[00:05:53] I could fit but how are we gonna get me 15 feet up plus? There's the covers I?
[00:05:59] Have a multi tool a multi tool. Yeah, I guess I'm some sort of soldier who requires a multi tool
[00:06:05] Did they give you like a weapon just the pistol although? I have a holster thingy for a knife sheath
[00:06:10] Yeah, sheath, but no knife anything else that's useful
[00:06:15] Yeah, that big vent behind the desk help me
[00:06:21] Wow building a firing range do you need a big-ass desk sure only if it's heavy as fuck you always been this snarky
[00:06:28] I
[00:06:29] Like to call it wit, but yeah
[00:06:33] Can't forgot me already hasn't been that long
[00:06:36] How long has it been I can't keep track down here and neither can I a few days for sure maybe more
[00:06:45] Hell it could have been weeks for all I know I did spend a little too long in the plumbing
[00:06:49] I heard that's why I made my way to the floor you were on
[00:06:53] Heard someone was crawling through the pipes on level P. And I knew it had to be you
[00:06:58] Don't know anyone else's resourceful. No don't know anyone else's desperate
[00:07:04] Okay
[00:07:05] Well miss soldier hand over the multi tool so I can get to work on this vent and we can get the hell out of
[00:07:11] here
[00:07:13] You sure you'll fit yeah the entrance is small, but the vent looks pretty big actually
[00:07:19] We'll easily be able to crawl on our hands and knees maybe even crouch which is a godsend as we've been in much smaller
[00:07:26] You remember that
[00:07:30] What some wrong I'm not coming with you
[00:07:36] That's ridiculous if they find you here without me
[00:07:40] They'll kill you regardless of if they think you're one of them or not. I won't be
[00:07:44] I'm gonna head back into the hallway to distract the captain some more, but when I open the door
[00:07:49] He needs to be able to clearly see you on the ground. This is crazy
[00:07:52] He needs to see you on the ground writhing in pain. I don't see why you can't ah
[00:07:57] Damn it Noah. Just listen to me you hit me. He needs to clearly see you on the ground
[00:08:02] You listening yeah
[00:08:05] Writhing on the ground okay got it
[00:08:07] When I shut the door you get your ass through the vent and make your way down to level T
[00:08:11] What's on level T? It's a dead level no activity
[00:08:15] How do you know what's a dead level? I heard it mentioned now get on the ground
[00:08:20] I'll meet you at level T. Just stay alive. What are you doing? I was still recording
[00:08:34] Am I recording
[00:08:36] Yeah, finally yeah, I did that thing where I talked to myself five minutes think I was recording myself worked up to
[00:08:43] Now you think I'm starting this work top
[00:08:45] Joe wasn't
[00:08:53] Long and short of it
[00:08:55] I'm conflicted
[00:08:57] I'm filthy. I'm exhausted and my body is flaring up anywhere. That's been injured which is everywhere
[00:09:04] But most of all I'm conflicted
[00:09:07] She hit me
[00:09:08] She hit me
[00:09:11] She hit me not theatrically like in the hallway not for show, but the slap
[00:09:17] The one to shut me up. I mean she hit me
[00:09:21] Sarah
[00:09:22] She had nothing before
[00:09:24] No matter how snarky I got and with her strength. I mean she could have knocked my head off I
[00:09:30] Was happy to see her at all truly, but I'm now filling with I don't know not not dread, but scared apprehension
[00:09:36] whoa
[00:09:38] Worry, I don't like it. I
[00:09:41] Left Sarah for fear of the monster she was becoming and maybe that was the right move
[00:09:46] Did you hear how effortlessly she dressed down that poor soldier
[00:09:50] Maybe not poor soldier, but you don't want to me
[00:09:54] Like a word sniper she unarmed and neutered the guy and moved on unaffected
[00:09:59] This is what I was running from
[00:10:02] then she I
[00:10:05] Cheat
[00:10:11] I'm not so convinced. You know that
[00:10:14] I can stay a good guy. I'm not so convinced
[00:10:18] I'm
[00:10:20] Sitting here complaining that Sarah was mean to a soldier while completely ignoring the fact that she shot the prep cook
[00:10:26] Shot him right in the head the moment. She walked into the room
[00:10:29] Like she walked into the room with that exact purpose just bang done dead cold
[00:10:35] But I ignore it
[00:10:37] You know why I ignored because in my heart of hearts in that moment
[00:10:40] She did exactly what I was hoping would happen what I would have done if given the chance
[00:10:48] There's such a fine line between surviving and being a sociopath and I no longer feel equipped to make the distinction
[00:10:55] I'm scared of Sarah. I'm scared of myself. Hell, I'm even scared of dead level T. Whatever the fuck dead level means
[00:11:03] I'm so tired of being scared. I just
[00:11:06] As always lots done back there
[00:11:17] Your starters welcome back to the second half of batch three
[00:11:20] Before we dive in I did want to ask you all about a well
[00:11:23] a boring aspect of this adventure the geography
[00:11:28] I've been trying to build a mental map of their journey, which has slowly evolved into my trying to draw a very real map
[00:11:33] Problem is it's getting a little too complicated
[00:11:37] Hear me out
[00:11:38] So they start in these cells presumably beneath the Denver International Airport
[00:11:42] I'm sure they zigzag a bit even go up a couple floors. But from there their journey was primarily downwards
[00:11:48] culminating in that giant biodome cavern
[00:11:51] giant biodome cavern
[00:11:53] Still with me?
[00:11:54] Now that biodome cavern was like two miles long and it ended with that impossibly large spiral ramp, which took them
[00:12:02] Approximately up to the floor with the archivist which is roughly around where Sarah just rescued Noah give or take a floor
[00:12:09] So we know Sarah has made it high as level H with that on board and we know now that it goes at least down
[00:12:14] to level T and
[00:12:16] Assuming it's alphabetical and they started at a that's at least 20 levels and with them being potentially two miles long each
[00:12:23] That's over 40 miles of facility probably a thousand miles of hallway. I mean against those numbers that all just feels so
[00:12:32] Sorry
[00:12:35] And leaving the window open for malanky to come and go
[00:12:37] We're at the whole bringing me stuff phase of our relationship and not to brag. I already have several gum wrappers and a bottle cap. So
[00:12:45] Look out where was I right Sarah?
[00:12:55] Was just me or was that soldier stick a little too believable?
[00:12:59] When she roughed up no in the hallway, I was concerned that maybe she'd gone too far down the old violence path
[00:13:04] But that's not what bothered Noah
[00:13:07] What bothered Noah was the slap at first I dismissed it. I figured it was just because he was embarrassed
[00:13:12] I got slapped once in high school and it took everything for me not to cry
[00:13:16] So I get that
[00:13:19] Hunger I think about it
[00:13:22] There's more to it has to be it wasn't the violence itself or the outburst
[00:13:29] Sarah didn't used to react that impulsively. Otherwise, she would have slapped Noah ages ago instead. She showed restraint
[00:13:36] But if Sarah has lost that ability while gaining super strength
[00:13:40] well
[00:13:41] She's become a terrifying liability
[00:13:51] That was close
[00:13:56] That's my cue
[00:14:07] He can't fit through the vent so I should be good
[00:14:11] Jesus let's tear it through the wall
[00:14:16] What it would give her a bear crocodile this moment, huh? Yeah simpler times
[00:14:24] Okay
[00:14:25] Finally an intersection left right or down
[00:14:30] Yeah
[00:14:31] Yeah, yeah, I know it's down just need to assess what's down there
[00:14:35] I want to slide into a spinning blade as I imagine I'd survived long enough to feel everything
[00:14:41] Sack of bones here goes nothing
[00:14:56] Still recording
[00:14:59] Wow, yeah
[00:15:02] Screens finally cracked his shit. This phone is still hanging on
[00:15:07] Oh
[00:15:09] As am I
[00:15:11] Yeah, somewhere in my head is bleeding but not enough to trump my ribs. Oh, yeah, I think I broke him
[00:15:18] Yeah
[00:15:19] It's like I broke every damn one hurts to breathe
[00:15:24] How far did I go I mean I slid for a little bit it's the freefall started I got tossed around like a ragdoll
[00:15:31] Oh
[00:15:33] Okay, yeah, I think a couple of ribs pop back to place well that was gross such a relief
[00:15:40] My left side is still on fire. So I guess those are broken broken
[00:15:44] Wait, where the hell am I?
[00:15:50] This is big enough to stand it
[00:15:56] The air is so fresh hey, you can hear it
[00:16:00] It's another big-ass fan
[00:16:03] Pumping in air. So maybe it's a way out
[00:16:07] Now this is where things get tricky
[00:16:11] Can't see much but my eyes have adjusted to the dark and it looks like I'm in some sort of central chamber
[00:16:17] 20 25 feet across and about 7 feet tall
[00:16:21] it's uh
[00:16:23] It's weird. I
[00:16:25] Can't figure out where the fresh air is coming
[00:16:27] There are at least seven different vents leading away from this space and even those are big enough to crouch through
[00:16:33] It's impossible for it to be coming from all the vents because that's what oh
[00:16:39] Yeah, I forgot
[00:16:42] Puncture
[00:16:48] Seven little ducks went out one day over the hills and far away
[00:16:52] Mommy duck said quack quack quack quack. Only one little duck ever came back
[00:16:58] There's our pick don't steer me wrong Rafi
[00:17:02] Ah
[00:17:05] Well, I found where the air was coming from
[00:17:07] Problem is it's a fan spinning so fast. I can't get through it at least not in one piece
[00:17:13] Hell at least not in 50 pieces
[00:17:15] So I'm a little bit cornered
[00:17:17] It has these thick metal bars in front of it. Maybe it's a safety
[00:17:21] If I can get beyond those I'm sure the puncher couldn't follow as the gap is too narrow and the bars are beastly
[00:17:27] But that damn fan
[00:17:29] Do I backtrack it's at least 10 minutes back and there's a strong chance. I'll run into the puncher. It's made its way down by now
[00:17:35] I
[00:17:37] Stink to holy hell, so I doubt it'll have any trouble finding me anyways
[00:17:41] Do I even have a choice?
[00:17:43] I have the magnets though that the archivist gave me his magic fix all for the robot woes. I
[00:17:50] Still have those so maybe I
[00:17:53] know
[00:17:55] Nope, it's suicide. I was gonna say maybe I just confront the puncher use the magnet thing on it and stop this endless chase
[00:18:01] It's a robot
[00:18:03] It won't even tire
[00:18:05] This ends with one of our deaths. So maybe I just address it now
[00:18:10] Yeah, I
[00:18:12] Want to live and who knows what the archivist actually gave me?
[00:18:15] I mean, I trust the guy but I could peel away the putty and find a marble in the center for all I know
[00:18:20] Maybe he gave them to me to bolster my confidence rather than actually equip me with any sort of weapon
[00:18:25] It's possible
[00:18:27] What do I do? What do I do?
[00:18:30] Well that simplifies things
[00:18:34] Okay, I took one out now I just need to remember what the archivist said there was a warning it was a warning
[00:18:41] So much was happening. I just kept nodding while he spoke, but what did he say?
[00:18:48] Careful be careful where you peel it free because the magnet is your metal
[00:18:52] I'm surrounded by metal. What are you useless?
[00:18:56] God sees me
[00:18:57] Yeah, yeah, I'm screwed
[00:19:00] My chances with the fan
[00:19:04] It's gonna cut me to shreds use this stupid magnet and likely die trying
[00:19:19] Well good, thank you
[00:19:23] Wait wait wait wait
[00:19:25] You understand me?
[00:19:27] Of course you do
[00:19:29] smart robot
[00:19:31] And you have a name too, right?
[00:19:33] puncher
[00:19:35] It's puncher. Yeah, I remember that's a good name
[00:19:40] So
[00:19:43] So, uh, why are you shooting if you're called puncher
[00:19:47] I
[00:19:49] Get this out
[00:19:51] Easy easy. I'm just saying name like puncher implies a certain amount of punching
[00:19:57] Unless that's not the case
[00:19:59] Are you maybe just a shooting robot?
[00:20:03] So why not lose the gun and try your creepy metal legs at the whole punching game?
[00:20:09] Unless you really are just a shooting
[00:20:12] Shit working I gotta fight with a robot
[00:20:17] Peel this magnet out
[00:20:19] You might have the muscle but I have the brains. Let's see how you like my science
[00:20:26] fuck
[00:20:27] Shot out and stuck to the fan blades
[00:20:29] on the metal
[00:20:36] It's happening I think I broke it hey, I'd love to stay but my ride just showed up
[00:20:46] Sorry puncher, but you're not that smart a robot
[00:20:52] Shit it's going for its gun
[00:20:55] Me and my big mouth sure go with the hyper intelligent robot spider dog smart move
[00:21:04] That's always the lake always the lake damn you puncher
[00:21:11] That's always the lake always the lake damn you puncher
[00:21:20] I'm not so confident. I made a new friend there
[00:21:25] It's always the leg
[00:21:28] It is disturbing how commonplace it's become for nowhere to get shot that it no longer worries me
[00:21:33] Sure, it'll be brutal to heal from but it literally happened at least three times so far
[00:21:38] So one would think he'd be used to it if you know, it's something you can get used to
[00:21:44] Leave it to know how to pick a fight with a robot. I
[00:21:47] Mean I can see how it looked in his head
[00:21:49] The robot slowly closes the gap and at the last possible moment he pulls out his magic magnet and shuts the whole thing down
[00:21:56] Problem is in that version. It's a coordinated action star facing off and not the very uncoordinated Noah. So what actually happened?
[00:22:04] The magnet was so strong that it zipped right out of the putty the moment Noah made a hole big enough and
[00:22:09] As the fan was behind him that thing shot right at him could have blown a hole in his head
[00:22:15] But true Noah fashion of failing upwards the magnet killed the fan and opened up a way for him to get out
[00:22:21] Now if any of you out there have any idea what kind of putty could contain that powerful a magnet
[00:22:27] Please let me know because I am at a loss
