[00:00:00] We'll have this discussion. Discussion? What discussion? This is a discussion
[00:00:05] Coming to you from Danver, Colorado
[00:00:08] This is discussion combustion podcast with your hosts Kevin Batstone and Arthur Rawe
[00:00:16] Forward so that's it. That's an exciting change since we last visited. It is exciting. You know feeling good. So yeah as you should
[00:00:23] Yeah, yeah, yeah, Slippin life sober thing is been interesting. Yeah, I'm doing it in waves
[00:00:28] Right, so it's not like just cold turkey
[00:00:30] It's like okay no more during the podcast no more during school nights and then easing into it a little bit
[00:00:34] Yeah, exactly, you know and focusing on you know different things that are gonna
[00:00:38] You know fill your soul, you know fill your cup absolutely
[00:00:42] Yeah, we got to fill the cup and that's the thing is where you know
[00:00:45] Everyone's liquid in that cup is going to be different because that void goes somewhere
[00:00:48] You know of filling that that need to do something that's exercise
[00:00:52] Bicycle and you know like something it's gonna something's gonna fill it. Yeah, so we're on the hunt for
[00:00:57] What that liquid is gonna be?
[00:00:58] And that liquid hunt, you know, it's it's important and it's you know, we're all around the same age and
[00:01:05] You're the oldest. I'm the oldest are you I'm 37. Oh, yes, you are
[00:01:11] Next week. All right, I'm the baby tonight. Yes, I will be 32 this year
[00:01:16] Congratulations, but it's like it's like you're born in the 90s, huh? 92. Okay. I'm still in the 80s
[00:01:22] Barely 80 baby barely clenching on 89. Let's go
[00:01:26] But it's like, you know, you get you get all this stuff out in your 20s like my 20s was lost to
[00:01:32] Acting like tomorrow was never gonna happen and just having so much fun with that
[00:01:37] And like I don't I don't regret it like I can't sit here and be like oh
[00:01:41] I regret like all the money I spent or whatever on this right like because the experiences were great
[00:01:46] But you know, we got to change our priorities, you know, and you can't like as we get older
[00:01:53] It's okay. If like, you know, we're not into the same stuff. We were into absolutely
[00:01:57] No, I mean, I think we're into like, you know a lot of the same things not necessarily
[00:02:01] You know what we're on to like our 20s
[00:02:03] But I think that you know, we still agree on things that we enjoy we just enjoy them in a different manner
[00:02:09] So that's a good way putting it. Yeah, and definitely being my 30s
[00:02:13] I will say, you know when I was in my 20s even my early 20s. That was much different than what I do now
[00:02:18] So for sure, but I enjoy 30s. Honestly, everyone's saying it's a new 20s now
[00:02:22] And I think I'm actually believing these 30s have been awesome. Oh, yeah
[00:02:25] I've been feeling more fly recently than I ever have pretty fly for a white guy
[00:02:31] Fly for a Pringo is what my my novia would say my girlfriend
[00:02:36] But uh, no, yeah, no, yeah, is that girlfriend in Espanyol? Yeah, no, no, you're gonna start teaching me
[00:02:42] I was gonna say wow, I actually am very curious at one time
[00:02:44] I spoke more than he does. Yeah. Oh my my novia is as Venezuelan
[00:02:50] So I've been learning Espanyol. Shout out. That's the right thing to do shout out pal
[00:02:55] She's awesome. She put up with all my friends at the racing event this past weekend. It was a full-day race
[00:02:59] And she was a trooper. Yeah. Oh, that's right. Yeah, cuz you're right. You're a race guys
[00:03:03] That's all I do. I love racing. She's a sweetheart
[00:03:06] But I do agree with how how you're doing this thing
[00:03:09] Yeah, yeah, like how you're kind of like everyone's gonna be slowing it down a little bit because on Kevin's
[00:03:15] 35th birthday as everyone's aware. He is going to
[00:03:20] Put down booze for a while. Yeah, and I think it's great how you've been easing into it because but zero like that
[00:03:26] That cold turkey thing like it might work for some people
[00:03:30] But I would find that extremely difficult like I need to slow let go like I'm doing curling or something
[00:03:34] Yeah, it's different for everybody. I feel like you know and everyone has a different path to do it with
[00:03:39] It's just everyone's different and everyone has a different plan
[00:03:42] Like a lot of people go to marijuana and all that kind of stuff. I don't I'm gonna see what happens there
[00:03:45] I don't want to say definitively one where the other you know, it's that it's gonna be this
[00:03:50] It's not gonna be that it's just a one day at a time process. I think yeah
[00:03:53] You know if you're feeling good about it then you know, then you're just making different
[00:03:57] Changes might be you know small and made his school the time but you feeling good about it
[00:04:01] I mean you look great. Thank you. I mean look at Arthur right now. You're crushing it, bro
[00:04:05] Yeah, oh, yeah, it's that's been a fun journey. It's been it's been crazy and it's all like
[00:04:12] like I don't know when I think about the weight loss and the diligence with eating and all this other shit
[00:04:20] like it's it takes a long time and
[00:04:24] Like you don't see the results immediately
[00:04:26] And you almost just have to be like and you got to get into this mentality where it's like nothing is gonna throw you off
[00:04:32] Like you're not just gonna go home and snack a bowl like a bag of chips late at night
[00:04:37] like you're being diligent and
[00:04:39] And going to distance yeah, and it pays off if you do something for more than a year
[00:04:45] Then you're going to see some results
[00:04:47] It's and so like anybody who is getting excited about like a weight loss journey or doing something different with their life
[00:04:54] Like talk to me in three months and we'll see if you're still doing it, you know
[00:04:58] That's like the thing right because everyone gets excited
[00:05:01] But are you actually going to be dedicated to doing this? You know commit to that?
[00:05:07] Yeah, you know because you can say you know the first couple, you know, it's been a skill results
[00:05:11] You see might be you know, oh wow this is going great
[00:05:14] You know go back to your old ways, but you got to keep being persistent
[00:05:18] You know and then implementing those new habits of yours
[00:05:22] Which obviously are paying off for both of you guys which is really great. Yeah
[00:05:26] Yeah, I got to hold yourself accountable too
[00:05:27] This actually helps do that a little bit because like the whole world's hearing it
[00:05:30] It's not just me whispering it in your ear and then no one else hears it go back
[00:05:34] I mean you listen our old episodes. We were different people like we were talking about we've changed a lot throughout
[00:05:38] I mean hell you were at 61 was your first out?
[00:05:41] This episode 260 so almost 200
[00:05:44] Number I was amazed I was like wow you guys asked me back
[00:05:47] And it was almost right to the date there and yeah
[00:05:50] Like you were saying you know, I remember you guys were like well
[00:05:52] We have but light and remember just go cracking beer is the entire you know
[00:05:56] We probably drank like between the three of us like 18 beers on that episode or something
[00:06:00] Was that the first one? I had to have been and that was my name when it was showing my new England was definitely showing
[00:06:06] Yeah, I was going to slam some beers, but I was wicked good
[00:06:11] Wicked piss yeah good old you've been back way more than I have I actually yeah since I've been on
[00:06:18] DCPC I
[00:06:21] I've been back doing a lot of times there. Yeah, I a lot of girlfriends
[00:06:25] I got married and why have you and and yeah, I've isn't my grandmother
[00:06:29] We're so really close, you know, she's still out there and kind of go on you know
[00:06:33] Go visit the coast and get my lobster roll
[00:06:36] And yeah, that sounds good. Oh, it's amazing clam chowder. Yeah, I love chowder. It's my favorite
[00:06:42] I get cravings. I love clam chowder, but actually since I've been on the podcast
[00:06:47] I actually became gluten-free unfortunately your gluten-free now. I hate every minute of it
[00:06:52] Like a meadow is a medically necessary
[00:06:54] I mean, I won't like you know, it's not like I'm gonna like die from it
[00:06:57] But I'll have an accident and I just rather avoid that
[00:07:01] But yeah
[00:07:03] That's honestly the worst heartbreak I've ever been through my entire life letting go a gluten. No man's are broken
[00:07:08] My heart like this
[00:07:10] Gluten's in like everything and it's everything, you know, I'm especially back home and you know, man
[00:07:15] I can you know, we used to talk about steamers why have you steam is you fry them and why have you and then you have
[00:07:20] You know your lobster roll and all this and so it's been a complete turn of events for me
[00:07:26] What was the toughest one that has gluten was like beer pizza
[00:07:30] Well, there's a place downtown that I like to go to near my house
[00:07:33] And they they do like a $10 like pasta night
[00:07:38] You want a dish and they have you know house baked bread and what have you and they put the you know
[00:07:44] Caesar salad with the croutons on it and that was a
[00:07:47] That was real buzzkill
[00:07:49] So no no croutons. No pasta absolutely no fun at all
[00:07:54] You know, well, you're looking you're looking good like it looks like it's treating you well
[00:07:58] I mean, obviously, I think I've you know, I feel like you know, the energy has been great
[00:08:02] And what have you I think I've lost some weight, you know, which is great
[00:08:05] But it's been tough to try to you know, just you know change everything
[00:08:10] I'm not completely implement almond flour and rice flour, you know
[00:08:14] And then you like Chinese food and then soy sauce has beaten it as well
[00:08:18] So everything if you enjoyed your life at first and forget about it. Oh gosh
[00:08:24] That's pretty fine. I mean there's so many gluten-free products on the market now though
[00:08:28] Yeah before it was it was kind of a you know, it was a load of you know
[00:08:32] It was a blow to my my existence but but honestly now it's really quite friendly, you know, even like a
[00:08:39] Bakery like come on, you know miles down the road from my house
[00:08:42] Opened up and I was like wow, you know, I got a chicken out. Yeah
[00:08:46] It was $13 for two pastries, but I loved it
[00:08:50] Pastries that's interesting and then they do like cauliflower pizza
[00:08:53] They do that it can be a little bit, you know, I actually hardboardy
[00:08:57] But I'm a fan of the cauliflower pizza or you have to get it extra crispy
[00:09:02] Yeah, that's any pizza for me. I like New Haven style. I want crispy and I mean we will always yeah Lord
[00:09:09] Lord Dave Portnoy
[00:09:11] Well always yes, you know, Lord Dave Portnoy
[00:09:15] I do love Dave Portnoy. I mean his pizza reviews, you know our honest but true
[00:09:20] He inspired me to do the same thing. I've been out doing reviews. I actually saw your little meatball review recently
[00:09:25] Oh, that was fun the doing food with Kevin. Yeah, you eat no Kev does eating
[00:09:30] That's a new series that we've added with cooking with Kev, which is great shout out to the meatball eatery in Centennial
[00:09:36] My server think her name was Hannah. She was great. I told her I was gonna give her a shout out
[00:09:40] It looked good that plays rules
[00:09:42] I mean who think about a meatball eatery like I'd never been to a place that specializes in meatballs
[00:09:46] Now you should be able to get some gluten-free meatballs. No, and so I was curious actually shout to Hannah
[00:09:52] Do they
[00:09:55] Because meatballs made with you know with bread and wine. Yeah, I bet they do I bet they do
[00:10:01] Yeah, if there's like a meatball eatery, I feel like they would have those options
[00:10:05] You know and then you go call Hannah just rasping tires. Yeah, call Hannah. Yeah, you're like calling over there
[00:10:10] Is Hannah if Hannah is not available then let me know when she comes back and I'll fall back
[00:10:15] Isn't on Sunday at 3 p.m. We'll be there. Yes, those were some pretty tasty balls though
[00:10:19] I definitely enjoyed those. I mean they look good you had
[00:10:24] A four different flavors on the plate there. Yeah, yeah, you can watch that video of my review. It was good though
[00:10:31] Yeah, so the gluten-free meatballs that's gonna be interesting. I don't see why they can't do that
[00:10:35] I mean, you know, you can always just kind of replace, you know little things but you know with regular bread
[00:10:41] You know everyone's making you know sourdough bread and sourdough bread is like a new you know huge gluten-free
[00:10:47] Option there. Okay. So here's the thing like I don't think I have a the gluten sensitivity
[00:10:53] But eating gluten-free food like you know if I go to eat like a red-barren pizza
[00:10:58] Like I'm gonna be really gassy the next day or if I'm drinking beer
[00:11:01] I'm gonna be gassy that night, but if I'm staying away from that then I'm like less bloaty less gassy and
[00:11:08] Like you feel like you like I get you to whole cauliflower pizza and like not
[00:11:13] Experience any of that. So maybe does everybody have like a gluten?
[00:11:18] We've learned so much about it recently like gluten sensitivity
[00:11:22] Wasn't really a thing when my folks were growing up
[00:11:24] I mean, I'm sure it was but they didn't they didn't have gluten-free alternatives
[00:11:27] So people just thought they had digestive issues. I would suppose now we have all this research on it
[00:11:32] Right and people are doing clinical trials and stuff like I'm assuming that's where you started right?
[00:11:36] Like well, I'm not feeling good. Let's narrow it down to what it is. Yeah
[00:11:39] No, absolutely, you know, I'm from East Coast, you know
[00:11:42] So I'm down to have you know the best pizza and bagels of what have you know
[00:11:46] And so it was around the pandemic, you know a little bit after you and I all of us talked and
[00:11:51] Yeah, I had like this pasta dish and I was like, you know, maybe it's the seafood I hadn't it
[00:11:58] Maybe I'll have a shellfish allergy, you know
[00:12:00] That's why I had pizza a week later and I had my face blow up again
[00:12:03] You know, I couldn't get my face, you know, it was like I looked like I was a Lego character
[00:12:08] So I couldn't get pasta, you know an actual door there and I was like what the heck is happening to me
[00:12:14] You know, I lived in Maine all my life
[00:12:16] You know, why can I not have any sort of show?
[00:12:18] You know trying to do like a process of elimination diet and you know a week later
[00:12:22] I ate pizza again, and I was like what the heck's happening to me. This is not right, you know
[00:12:28] Used to what I'm eating this is not it and and yeah, you know
[00:12:32] I just kind of like, you know took on that whole gluten-free lifestyle
[00:12:37] And it wasn't amazing and still made me a little bit challenging at times
[00:12:41] But you know, it's getting better as you know
[00:12:43] It goes and there's a lot more options and what have you but it was tough at first
[00:12:46] So how deep are you into this new diet? Like is it been a year?
[00:12:50] It's been well, I guess it's 2024
[00:12:54] It happened like yeah right after I think
[00:12:57] All of us talked and so it's been like almost three years now
[00:13:01] And that's just like what it is. I can't even just you know say well
[00:13:04] I'm gonna take a break today, you know and go back to my old life
[00:13:07] We're gonna be hurting if you do that and I and it happened to me, you know a couple
[00:13:11] Christmases ago my roommate, you know, she was had a great heart, you know
[00:13:16] But she's like I got these new egg roll wraps. We're gonna make up for Christmas
[00:13:19] It's gonna be fantastic. We can all aim together, right? No, we cannot
[00:13:24] And so I had a couple of these egg rolls and they were definitely made of a flower and then next three days
[00:13:30] I was walking around
[00:13:32] Wow
[00:13:32] And I've never experienced that and I just knew like my body just like remembers that, you know
[00:13:37] your body retains that and
[00:13:39] So I am so one of my food weaknesses just because you're exposing yourself. I will also become
[00:13:47] Yeah, so so one area that I've needed to
[00:13:52] Really watch it because I'll straight up like pass out like I will I will like lose consciousness if I have too much sugar
[00:14:01] Especially mixed with alcohol because alcohol converts into sugar
[00:14:05] Exactly, yeah, so like that car breaks down into you know sugar
[00:14:09] So I'll have a scare like if I drink too much and eat too much or even if it's like too rich of food
[00:14:14] I feel like my body just can only
[00:14:18] Take a certain amount of food and like everything else or else like my my levels spike and I'll like pass out
[00:14:24] I've seen a happen. So it's super scary for me. Yeah
[00:14:27] It's not like diabetic like shock if you will yeah, I don't even know if it's just
[00:14:32] Yeah, I don't know if it's just for sugar or what because
[00:14:37] Yeah, if I'm like eating at a like fancy restaurant
[00:14:40] Because you know the food is super rich good and you're like doing all these different courses and stuff
[00:14:45] Like if I start getting too full then I'll like get this feeling that I get like a warning feeling
[00:14:50] Where where I can tell if I continue to indulge then I'm gonna end up
[00:14:56] Losing consciousness and so I probably passed out like maybe five six times total in my life
[00:15:02] But it's it's definitely something where it's like, you know, I'm not in my 20s anymore
[00:15:07] Like, you know things start to you know, we gracefully get older, but yeah
[00:15:13] So I have to watch out too. You have to watch out what I eat
[00:15:16] Yeah, that's crazy
[00:15:17] Like the Porsche the portion is extremely important like I feel like I could get away with eating most things just can't over
[00:15:22] Indulge yeah, it's all about Porsche control and it's hard to do and not doing that second and third helping
[00:15:27] Like the queso at your place was so good
[00:15:30] I would turn around good
[00:15:31] I went back there a couple extra times to the queso bowl
[00:15:34] I figured you were gonna be on it the room went quiet when the queso came out. It did it did the room
[00:15:39] Did get silent got really quiet
[00:15:42] Yeah, yeah, we were all talking and saying that there's like six of us in this room and then all of a sudden the queso
[00:15:47] We made everyone quiet
[00:15:50] I
[00:15:51] Donate all the food though. How about you Kevin? Do you like so you got the shellfish allergy, but that kind of went away
[00:15:57] Yeah, so I grew up with a shellfish allergy. I'm a yeah last time
[00:16:01] Yeah, so you can cocktail shrimp things like that was a pretty popular thing in my household
[00:16:05] You know cuz my dad loves it and so it was a Super Bowl party one year
[00:16:08] And I was eating it in my gum swell up and started getting itchy
[00:16:10] And so basically from that point on the doctors like you're allergic to shellfish without actually really doing any testing
[00:16:16] So I just stopped eating it but I never gave up clam chowder as technically shellfish, but it's you got the
[00:16:22] Crustaceans and the mollusks right right are the two types of shellfish one contains more iodine so like lobster
[00:16:28] Crab shrimp are gonna have the most so I
[00:16:32] Yeah, that's what you know, that's what got you yeah
[00:16:36] But then recently I was doing a cooking with Kev and I did scallops
[00:16:39] I had had scallops. It was like a new dish in life for me
[00:16:44] They need him as a kid and so here I am you know mid 30s trying scallops for the first time a cast iron pan seared them
[00:16:49] Oh, they were good. They were good. I see why they call that the bacon of the sea
[00:16:53] That's good. They call it the bacon of the sea that might actually that might be
[00:16:56] Crispy skin on a salmon. I don't know I'm not an expert much, but I like tasty things
[00:17:01] I like his I like his idea, but you're right
[00:17:04] Continue on yeah, so I guess that would be the food that bothered me with shellfish other than that though
[00:17:09] I don't think you know
[00:17:11] Everybody can overeat too much spicy foods or something and then you're hurt for two days
[00:17:14] But that's just that's just not having a you know portion control and eating too much
[00:17:19] That's that I think we all struggle with that. I could go on on something
[00:17:21] I'm better off not have it in house like candy. Yeah, I gotta keep the candy away. Yeah, especially without the alcohol
[00:17:26] Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah
[00:17:28] Yeah, it's tough. So my girl is a really good cook
[00:17:32] confirmed and I
[00:17:34] Was doing so I was doing so good right like I told you about the two-year
[00:17:39] Dedication lost 70 pounds. I got down to like 190. That's amazing
[00:17:43] And then now I'm back up to like around 200 because that cooking was just so good
[00:17:48] But here's here's the thing is like, you know
[00:17:52] We're together like being like okay
[00:17:54] Like we had fun indulging for the first six months of knowing each other like we're going on the dates
[00:17:59] Right, honey moon. Yeah. You know
[00:18:02] Yeah, we're just having a good time with it and then and then so now we're both
[00:18:06] together in this mindset of you know doing more portion control and
[00:18:11] You know skipping a meal from time to time and honestly
[00:18:15] Like I've been feeling better since I since I've been doing that
[00:18:18] So I generally will skip breakfast and I don't get really hungry until like noon to what 1 p.m
[00:18:26] And I feel like I perform better those days like I feel better on those days
[00:18:33] But it's for real like, you know this whole food thing and the delicious food and like wanting that second portion
[00:18:39] And it's it's so easy because here's the thing like okay diligent for 24 months, right?
[00:18:45] Like that like you think your lifestyle would just change at that point
[00:18:48] It doesn't but yeah
[00:18:49] Like the second you get that bag of kettle chips out like and it's like okay
[00:18:53] And then you make a couple excuses one week and then it easily bleeds into two to three and
[00:18:59] Coming from like an area where I was trying to be so diligent all the time to
[00:19:04] Recognizing the complacency come back in because like I'm seeing it happen, but I'm like allowing it
[00:19:09] It's that that it's just wild right like how diligent we always got to stay on it
[00:19:13] You know and even with you like retrying the gluten and stuff again
[00:19:17] Like you're like you're like I want to try it again, and then you try it again
[00:19:20] You're like no, it's not worth it. Yeah, yeah
[00:19:23] No, I was like walking around you know with this pain in my back, and I couldn't even like stand up straight for three days
[00:19:28] And I was like from living like from gluten. That's amazing. Is it celiac? I wouldn't say it's celiac
[00:19:35] I mean, I I don't want to be you know to grow tasks
[00:19:38] But you know if I do ingest gluten I can tell and it'll be very uncomfortable
[00:19:45] That's fair leave it at that. I'm gonna die from it, but you know
[00:19:48] Experience that that's why hundo stop eating meat. He got that with meat and that's you know
[00:19:54] And that's where I came into I was like I look at hundo, you know, and he you know
[00:19:58] He looks amazing, you know he works out hard and he has since before we knew him
[00:20:01] Yeah, yeah, you know and he looks even more fantastic, you know three years later
[00:20:05] You know I guess we implement
[00:20:06] You know what you've been doing for so long then it might pay off and it sure has yeah
[00:20:11] No, he's he gets after it every day so yeah
[00:20:14] Respect that guy. He is definitely a hustler. He has the right attitude. He's he's getting after it in multiple different angles
[00:20:22] Yep
[00:20:22] You know our last episode we got into conspiracy theories for the back half of the show
[00:20:26] So that was fun so for anyone that's into that you listen to hundo's app
[00:20:29] It was like two months ago, maybe yeah
[00:20:32] You you got any wild conspiracies are you a flat earth or I'm down to talk about conspiracies
[00:20:38] I don't that's like YouTube. We're not experts in anything. This is not science approved
[00:20:41] This is all personal own opinions. Okay, you got the disclosure out there. We're good to go now
[00:20:45] We're good to go now. Yeah as well
[00:20:51] Congress someday but no Kevin was talking to the camera over there
[00:20:55] So so if you want to talk to the people you just yeah, you look directly
[00:21:01] So we're all in agreement there, but yeah, I love conspiracy theories
[00:21:05] I love hundo shout to hundo hundo is a solid man. So glad we had our last hundred together
[00:21:11] That was amazing hundo and blade
[00:21:14] But no, I love I love conspiracy theories. I love colts my big cult person right now
[00:21:19] Oh, what do you mean? What do you mean like are you gonna call it? Are you a co-leader like you love cults?
[00:21:24] Like you're trying to recruit us to your heart. I should yeah
[00:21:29] No, no, I just I'm just fascinated by cults, you know
[00:21:32] It's just really amazing to find out, you know what people do to
[00:21:37] So one of the Fleetwood Mac members like joined a cult heard that back in the day back in the 70s really was it Lindsey?
[00:21:44] Mmm. I don't know. I don't know. It's one anyway
[00:21:48] Which cult are you like are you interest?
[00:21:51] to 12 tribes
[00:21:54] There's a there's actually a cult here in Boulder Colorado
[00:21:58] I'm very fascinated with called the 12 tribes. I was hoping you were gonna say love is one cuz
[00:22:04] Oh
[00:22:06] You know what's going on with that?
[00:22:08] That was you know consuming
[00:22:11] Collided to collided silver exactly yeah and convince everyone to be a drug and alcoholic, but that she was God very bizarre
[00:22:18] Amazing, you know God bless. I didn't even I know I've never even heard about this. There's a there's a
[00:22:24] Yeah, and it's in Colorado
[00:22:26] But yeah, no, I am just I'm just very fascinating about what you know draws people to join this. Yeah, you know
[00:22:33] I'm not against it. I guess I'm not sure
[00:22:36] So so I have a cult
[00:22:39] It's a cult of positive thinking
[00:22:43] And making love to join your car making a strong impact called raw talk in your peers
[00:22:49] Yes, the raw talk cult is it a podcast?
[00:22:52] So yeah
[00:22:54] So my mom my mom and I don't know if she's gonna watch this or not
[00:22:58] But I was so I'm ten episodes into raw talk
[00:23:01] And it's like a quick rant show where I like do five to 15 minutes on a
[00:23:06] Focused subject and my mom when I was telling her that I was about to start this
[00:23:11] She's all like you're not like trying to start a cult. Are you and I was like I was like yes, mother
[00:23:17] Actually, I am and it's gonna it's gonna be a cult of
[00:23:21] Toxically positive people
[00:23:25] And my brother can relate to this because we're not we're different
[00:23:28] I love you Eric, but we're a bit different and he thinks I'm toxically positive sometimes where it's like I'm too positive
[00:23:34] Like Sean Antonio. Yeah, like Sean Antonio is equally toxic positive person annoyingly positive
[00:23:40] Is what his wife said? Yes annoyingly positive
[00:23:43] Keep on let's see if you're annoying so that well, that's the cult
[00:23:46] You know and and so I feel like what draws people in is even though I have no idea what I'm doing
[00:23:52] I act like I do know what I'm doing
[00:23:55] That is the sign
[00:23:58] Those are a telltale sign. Yes. That's the key to life. Yes. That's that hashtag own it. Yes
[00:24:04] Hashtag own it forever hashtag full cent. Yeah hashtag on it hashtag full send until it's actually
[00:24:12] Yeah, oh, yeah, we got to get into that too. We got a lot to cover on this episode
[00:24:16] your pot, you know
[00:24:18] The coats the coats are fun. Yeah, they're closer fun. I have an ask our cold look positives
[00:24:24] Toxically positive TPP. Yeah, toxically positive people. Yeah, that's a TPP cult. Yeah, it hurts
[00:24:30] It's nationwide PPP and you can be a part of it
[00:24:34] All you have to do is be optimistic and you're in in this cold. Okay? It's very good
[00:24:38] And send your you know address most of you sick is in the mail. Yeah, and then some collided silver
[00:24:43] Right, no, it's good. Is this collided silver? It's nasty shit. It's supposed it's
[00:24:49] Collided silver collided silver it is it was supposed to be used for external use for like wounds and stuff
[00:24:54] Okay, and people were drinking it thinking it was healing insides and in fact
[00:24:59] I said you feel like yeah, yeah, I'll turn she was like gray by time she
[00:25:04] Was actually blue yeah from drinking like metal trying to think what her name was it was
[00:25:10] Mother God. Well, yeah mother God
[00:25:12] But what yeah that people that people came to Colorado and believe she was God and she was drunk and on drugs every single day
[00:25:19] And they were just waiting on her hand and foot and then when she did pass away
[00:25:23] They actually kept her body mummified body like and they put it in
[00:25:27] They traveled across five states eight lines. Yeah, and nobody went to jail they got arrested but nobody was
[00:25:34] Yeah, that was that was a big deal. You're not like allowed to take dead bodies. It's tampering with the courts, right?
[00:25:40] The whole thing was crazy
[00:25:43] But it was it was worth a watch I learned a lot about people and how because what was the common thing
[00:25:47] They all had in common
[00:25:48] They were all a little bit lost and they just came together and yeah found this one
[00:25:53] Yeah, and then you had the father God he was he was a while. Yeah, but anyway, same cult same cult
[00:25:58] He was with the mother God. Okay, so
[00:26:01] Yeah, it's it's you know, what's what cult things, you know do so cold so what is drawing you to Colts right now?
[00:26:07] The 12 would you call it 12 12? Oh the 12 tribes. Yeah, I just I'm just so fascinated by Colts because you know
[00:26:14] I just I think it's so interesting that some people can come together and find this one I
[00:26:21] Don't want to say a purpose but just this one
[00:26:25] Foundational point, you know, we all came together. We're all missing something. We're all lost in the sense
[00:26:30] They've come together to find this one
[00:26:34] Common denominator, I guess if you will or maybe not even a common one
[00:26:37] It's just we've all found each other and we find comfort in the fact that we're all involved in this one
[00:26:44] thing
[00:26:46] It's really quite I mean, I can't really you know narrow it down, but it's really fascinating
[00:26:51] It's interesting just to kind of see like the details of it
[00:26:54] How come because there's usually a cult leader like someone's kind of the spokesperson or whatever and there's like recruiters and stuff like that
[00:26:59] I don't know much about it
[00:27:00] But I always think David Koresh in Waco, Texas, right? That was a big deal back
[00:27:05] Did see that documentary and they end up rolling tanks out to this
[00:27:08] It was an insane like they were really just trying to defend their first and second amendment rights
[00:27:12] Right, and that's where he gets dicey because he was doing so they're making their own ammo
[00:27:16] They were which is illegal it is, you know, they you know, I drove past, you know, Waco
[00:27:21] I kept calling it Waco, you know Waco
[00:27:23] You know, and it was pretty Waco, you know to me and did you go there? I didn't stop
[00:27:30] I was driving I said okay. That's pretty Waco
[00:27:34] Yeah, Waco. Yeah, it's you know, so the cult stuff been going on for a long time
[00:27:38] Yeah, you know, and so I you know, I was in my travels, you know since I've you know been on your podcast
[00:27:44] I've been traveling a lot. I saw my podcast and I was like wow, I was so uncultured then and you know
[00:27:50] Uncultured like just not traveled well didn't what do you feel like?
[00:27:53] You know, I just didn't you know travel as much as I you know should have and I have you know
[00:27:57] So you've been on like a glow up but that was also in the middle of like a shutdown and yeah
[00:28:02] We're talking, you know, like you know the pandemic and you know these
[00:28:06] You know what have you and and yeah, you know, I've been going on not the road
[00:28:10] But I've been going you know traveling to be on tour
[00:28:14] You're on the late or Sony blade tour
[00:28:18] That's my Instagram handle, you know, I'm not that I am you know Sony play it but trying to travel as much as I can
[00:28:24] I've been thinking for like two weeks. The blade is back. I was so excited to make that little promo
[00:28:30] Video today saying how the blade is back
[00:28:33] But pretty good, but on your journeys. Is that where you found these these butterfly wing earrings? Oh
[00:28:41] Well, actually on my journey. Yes, I've I've actually become a fish fan
[00:28:47] Like like the band like the band
[00:28:50] Maybe you're out there like fish. Oh, no, I love seafood, you know
[00:28:52] I've been fishing all my life with my father, but no, I I love fish now
[00:28:56] I guess I guess I'm into fish. Okay. Now this pH is the smell of the pH
[00:29:01] The pH fish. Yeah. And so yeah, I know on my journey of finding myself
[00:29:05] But you know without having to you know, do I a was good Peru?
[00:29:10] Without joining it without joining a cult. Yeah
[00:29:13] I'm this close, you know, 12 tries if you're out there
[00:29:18] No, but I'm just very fascinated, but you know on my journey to find self. Yes, absolutely
[00:29:23] I've listened to a lot more music. I'm a big music lady in each way
[00:29:27] You know my my hobbies in Colorado include snowboarding and you know when snowboarding ends
[00:29:33] Red Rocks begins and that's why I listen to music live and and yeah live music is important
[00:29:40] So you got those earrings out of fish concert and so anyways back to me
[00:29:44] That's my joke with my friends talking to themselves too much. I say anyways back to me
[00:29:49] So back to me. It's a good segue. I
[00:29:52] Got these
[00:29:54] You know earrings at a fish concert. Yes
[00:29:58] fish has a big concert every year at
[00:30:02] It's called fish dicks at Dick's Sporting Goods here in Dugver
[00:30:05] And so yeah, you know I got these fish earrings it says
[00:30:11] Funky bitch oh in case no one knew okay, you weren't allowed and proud hanging from the ears
[00:30:17] I'm a funky bitch. I guess see that's hashtag full-send hashtag on it. Yes
[00:30:22] So if fish they've been they've been around a while, haven't they before I was born
[00:30:26] I was gonna say like it's like grateful dead. Yeah, exactly
[00:30:29] So yeah, I'm turned into a fish fair in the barrel and it's just yeah the community is really awesome
[00:30:35] You know, it's just a lot of fun and I'm actually part of this
[00:30:39] Group on Facebook called fish chicks. Okay, and you have to like go through like an actual pretty
[00:30:46] extensive process
[00:30:47] Part of the group and it's like 15 questions
[00:30:50] See when they get into the group and so I had asked my friend. I was like what answer is this
[00:30:56] Would that be considered fishing?
[00:30:59] probably
[00:31:01] Now that's interesting. I don't think I could name a single song
[00:31:06] They're just like it's just a community easily funny. I'm sure you know, it's kind of ties into you know
[00:31:14] Into what do you call it? I
[00:31:20] Don't know I don't know but it's okay
[00:31:22] Ties into something it ties in it tying in so didn't like future Rama
[00:31:28] Do like an episode no that was with Beck was back part of fish
[00:31:32] No, I don't think back was a part of fish. He's been doing his own thing. Yeah, I love back right back back
[00:31:38] I would love to see back. He's still touring, right? Yeah, he's his music changed a lot though from you know
[00:31:43] It's first hit was that
[00:31:45] What was this first hit? I'm a loser baby. Oh, yeah, so why don't you kill? Yeah now? He's doing like you know
[00:31:52] His age music now if you will he's like he's like covering Neil Young's old man
[00:31:56] And he's just an amazing guitar player amazing musician
[00:31:59] I think kind of like no almost like dad rock, you know
[00:32:02] But you can go to like red rocks and you know see a crate dad rock
[00:32:06] Is that is that similar to yacht rock? What that's exactly what I was thinking. Yeah rock
[00:32:11] You haven't heard a yacht rock. There's a lot of things I've heard of in this episode look
[00:32:15] I invite my mom over and some of her friends are like, you know
[00:32:20] And you put on a yacht rock. What is that like dude? Look all I'm saying if you want the perfect playlist
[00:32:27] You put on yacht rock and most everybody is going to just really enjoy their time
[00:32:32] It feels like a sub-genre though that
[00:32:34] To something we'll put yacht rock on before the end of night. Yes, we're gonna put some yacht rock
[00:32:40] Yeah, you know what y'all rock is. Oh my god, it's the best, you know
[00:32:42] If you're trying to learn all this is because I quit drinking or something maybe I wasn't paying attention
[00:32:46] I don't know
[00:32:47] Like I listen to a classic rock
[00:32:49] There's some there's some classic rock
[00:32:52] My favorite style of rock
[00:32:55] Like you know like a grandma, you know on like a yacht. You're just hanging out, you know drinking Chardonnay and
[00:33:00] You're just listening, you know, too. There might be like some Jimmy Buffett in there
[00:33:04] I was gonna say Jimmy Buffett. Yeah, just like very like it doesn't have to be Chardonnay
[00:33:08] Could it be so many on Blanc?
[00:33:10] Or maybe different or maybe we can go Pinot Grigio. I
[00:33:14] Mean, I'm just saying there's options right now
[00:33:17] Or is it just the shard community is yacht rock no no no it's gonna be a little more expensive
[00:33:23] Okay, all right. I think you could even like drink a modello to this interesting
[00:33:28] Very much like a hot day weather. I think like yadrock is completely inclusive
[00:33:34] Like whatever whatever's in your cup. It could even be water. Would it be on 93 3 here in Denver?
[00:33:39] I love that radio. I did too. I found some new bands off
[00:33:43] Like the college station right? I don't know if it's college, but it's like it's like indie rock
[00:33:47] Maybe like they have a segment. That's like college ish
[00:33:50] I found dope lemon on there if you heard of them. Yes love them and the blue stones. I just found they're fantastic
[00:33:57] Yeah, so like new music new music
[00:34:00] Their thing is called new music. Don't they know 93 3 is it's it's like alternative rock
[00:34:05] Mm-hmm
[00:34:06] I thought was like that at the college station because they always play like you know like I pick at the disco
[00:34:12] Really?
[00:34:13] Is that 93 3 now? I don't know. I'm not sure but college radio is very important. We covered that last week. Oh, I love that
[00:34:18] I always love a station. I mean at least my station here is amazing. Yeah, like yeah, they just
[00:34:24] Have so much for broad, you know, so so sorry for jumping around a little bit. I know we're getting into discussion
[00:34:30] But you know, but like you're talking about like this 12 moons like this 12
[00:34:34] This 12 this 12. What was what was this 12 tribe wouldn't it 12 tribes 12 tribes
[00:34:41] Sonia in case anyone wants to come. Okay, so what what's what what are they got? What are they doing? Like what is 12 tribes doing?
[00:34:49] Well, I don't really know too much about them
[00:34:51] But you know from my research is that they you know, I think they're based in
[00:34:58] Somewhere on the coast of you know
[00:35:00] The West Coast no East Coast, okay, but I do know they have a
[00:35:06] Delhi here in Colorado
[00:35:09] And Boulder called yellow deli, okay
[00:35:12] And so I'm trying to go out there and get a sandwich and see what they're what they're about
[00:35:16] So is this a cult that is?
[00:35:19] fanatical about
[00:35:21] Huggies because that's that's something I could I could get behind call them grinders back home get a
[00:35:26] I think they have some grinders there. I actually don't know
[00:35:29] I'm hoping they have some gluten-free bride to be honest
[00:35:32] That's my big thing if they don't then you're out of you know, but I
[00:35:37] Think you know if they invite me back to their house or whatever they'd be amazing, but interesting so
[00:35:43] 12 tribes
[00:35:44] Serves 12 inch sandwiches. I don't think we're gonna get all the deeds like what what why you so why you interested in this
[00:35:52] Like what it just because they're close by to my home
[00:35:55] You know, I mean if I could you know research all of them then I'd be happy to so but they're right in my backyard
[00:36:01] So I know I know what it is. It's yeah, I know what it is
[00:36:05] It's it's the mystery factor. It is just it's the miss it's the fact that there's like this mystery and it's close enough for you to like
[00:36:13] Smell the sandwiches. I mean like I just want to find out, you know
[00:36:18] I just want to like look in there and say, you know, do they use real mustard?
[00:36:22] You know, what kind of mustard do they use and then I miss so is it like a sandwich tribe coal?
[00:36:29] Like what's I think she's trolling you now, but I
[00:36:32] Don't think we're gonna we're not gonna know and I never will it's that's the mystery of life. It's part of the unknown
[00:36:40] Great, yeah, because if everything was predictable and you know like where's the where's the fun in that?
[00:36:44] Yeah, you know to touch back on you know on our mysterious ways about finding sobriety
[00:36:49] You know and you know finding out what's actually best for us internally, you know
[00:36:54] What's gonna happen to us if we ex-na, you know this part of our life and incorporate more positive things?
[00:37:01] That's the journey. Yeah, that's the silver tuna as they say the tuna. I don't know it's gonna look different for everyone
[00:37:08] I don't know maybe I'll start a cult be a NASCAR cult. I already have one of those called mash the gas
[00:37:13] We got a good cult following over there. I mean, I was yeah, I actually I took a peek and I was like wow
[00:37:19] Pretty sweet
[00:37:20] Yeah for all the NASCAR fans which isn't up, you know in that's an East Coast thing
[00:37:23] You know very East Coast my father was really yeah much into the NASCAR way and it was honestly like a fun thing to do
[00:37:30] You know you bring your girlfriend along you pack of pack of cooler forces
[00:37:36] It's a fantastic sport yeah all defendant I love it till day I die
[00:37:39] It's been a part of my whole life grew up at short tracks in New England all over New Hampshire Lee Speedway and all those places
[00:37:45] It's just old school good old fun outdoors. It's fine. You know you bring the family along
[00:37:50] You've been you've been to a NASCAR race. I've been to a local
[00:37:54] You know NASCAR you gotta go to the main the get a full cent. Yeah, man's got a big
[00:37:59] Big thing going on there. I can't remember I say I was I was a kid. Yeah. Yeah, it's been about
[00:38:05] 20 years 20 years I haven't been back since oh
[00:38:08] Nine which is that's a long time. There's a lot of that's almost 20 years
[00:38:13] There's a lot of people in the 603 aren't real happy with me about that
[00:38:16] Oh, no, no, no, I go every like you know for months my grandmother, you know, I
[00:38:21] Well, I love that place. Yes. See if I had that I probably I'd probably go more but
[00:38:25] My parents are actually going for their 50th wedding anniversary this October 50 50 years. They've been married
[00:38:31] Congrats mom and dad. It's fantastic
[00:38:34] Amazing and I guess there's some program like the main lobster guys or something out of there
[00:38:39] I don't know what the program is exactly my mom watches it she'll know but they're gonna go do a like a dinner with those guys from discovery
[00:38:46] Channel like they were selected to go be with the lobster guys from discovery or whatever
[00:38:51] Mom's pretty excited about that
[00:38:53] She should be sure that's amazing. Yep, so just excited. She's excited to get back home
[00:38:58] You know, there's so much history there for us growing up there and all that
[00:39:01] Yeah, shame on me for not going back. I'll take all that money that I spent on drinking and buying me a plane ticket
[00:39:07] So when you going back?
[00:39:08] I saw I already gonna make a commitment to this right now. Yep. I already put it on another podcast
[00:39:12] So it's already out there. Okay, I will be guaranteed possibly sooner
[00:39:15] But guaranteed you will see me in June of 2025 because I will be there for the NASCAR race. Oh, okay
[00:39:23] It's going down I'm going out for about a week to do the New England tour
[00:39:26] See everybody take the pontoon out on Lake Winnie. Did you okay? I want to do that
[00:39:30] Like one up a socky. Oh, yeah, yeah, no my cousin live in New Hampshire. So I want to do the pontoon
[00:39:36] I want to go to Lake Winnie. Yeah, I have some clam chowder and like a lobster roll that buttered lobster roll
[00:39:44] Oh is it but we still love it
[00:39:46] I think all the New England food
[00:39:48] Yeah, like even the New Haven pizza like we were saying it's a big community
[00:39:51] But there is certain parts knowing on there are no different things
[00:39:53] Okay, yeah like Providence to Boston the chowder in that 30 miles fast different wicked different
[00:40:01] Oh, yeah, you know and as a new you know newfound gluten-free lady. I know my know my chowders
[00:40:08] Cuz yeah, you know every child it starts with a row, you know, which is you know flower
[00:40:13] Come on have you and I'm young and so now I want chowder
[00:40:17] I know look it's always around dinner time when we're recording these
[00:40:20] Like all of our listeners in the morning like our morning listeners are probably like how come these guys are never talking breakfast
[00:40:26] You know we're always talking like some kind of pasta or like some kind of dinner stuff like breakfast
[00:40:31] I'm a breakfast burrito guy. What's is breakfast your favorite meal? No, okay? Absolutely not
[00:40:37] I don't eat it on the weekends. Okay, you know, I get up make a little you know
[00:40:41] But you're looking forward to that
[00:40:42] Yeah, cuz it's fun
[00:40:43] Are you looking forward to making breakfast on the weekends more than you're looking forward to like making your other meals
[00:40:48] I don't know. I like cooking as you know, we usually have people over for the race
[00:40:51] So that's a good question, but breakfast foods are fun because you can like create things green chili eggs
[00:40:57] Potatoes there's a lot that goes into breakfast foods. Yeah, but I can imagine gluten-free
[00:41:01] Also is restricted no pancakes no hash browns. I guess you do hash browns. Oh
[00:41:06] Yeah, definitely hash browns. Yeah, everyone's always asking me
[00:41:09] Can you eat potatoes? Can you eat rice and you know and some things they implement?
[00:41:13] You know has power into them sorry, but otherwise, you know for breakfast items you can have
[00:41:20] What is it? You know what the eggs and the
[00:41:24] Wables rancheros, you know, I mean that's definitely gluten-free
[00:41:28] Otherwise you can have like you know the
[00:41:30] Wouldn't like the sauce on it and the biscuit. Oh, yeah, yeah biscuits Benedict. Yeah, exactly
[00:41:37] implement, you know some sort of other you know
[00:41:39] instead of
[00:41:41] you know
[00:41:43] You can just do whatever you want and said yeah, you can be creative with it. That's good. There's a lot of options
[00:41:48] That's the thing I'd be creative though. I'm trying to put some avocado on my breakfast. Well, I got avocado
[00:41:54] Implement like healthy fast everyone's all one two right now. It's healthy fast
[00:41:58] I mean I've seen pictures of the food that that you eat and you're usually eating like
[00:42:02] It's like some quinoa like some like super doing the cooking looks like super food
[00:42:06] I know I have been like on my chef game recently. Yeah cooking with blade
[00:42:13] When chef blades in town, it's it's pretty good though
[00:42:17] Crazy, but you know, but I try to implement, you know good good things
[00:42:21] You know, I actually make this amazing chicken cord on blue. Okay, and I guess I gotta tell you
[00:42:28] You know your viewers what my my they're chomping at the bit
[00:42:32] at the bit and
[00:42:34] What happens is you know what you put like, you know your crumbs and what I have you the bright crumbs
[00:42:41] you put them in
[00:42:43] You know for two minutes in the oven what have you and that's what happens makes it actually crispy and what happened
[00:42:49] Oh really and so from there, you know, you put them on, you know your chicken
[00:42:52] What have you put them in the oven and sorry crispy?
[00:42:56] That's a pretty good little hack because the last time I did it. It was really good
[00:42:59] I got like a chicken breast pounded it out real flat, you know
[00:43:02] Got my ham got my cheese rolled that up and then egg wash flour
[00:43:06] Breaded that in panko and then did it in oil fried it
[00:43:10] Oh, yeah to get the crisp and then finish the cook off in the oven
[00:43:13] Yeah, serve that with a homemade cheese sauce with a little bit of fontina cheese sauce
[00:43:17] And then of course a little parsley for decor. It was muy delicioso
[00:43:22] Sounds fantastic. Yeah gotta put a little more cheese, you know when your sauce
[00:43:26] I'm happy because the big secret is that yeah
[00:43:29] You know toast the breadcrumbs prior to and then once you cook it in there
[00:43:33] It's gonna be already crispy and I like that I like crispy. I like crispy bacon. I like crispy french fries
[00:43:38] See bacon. I want I want the medium
[00:43:40] Oh, no, no chewy like not chewy like raw if you hold that bacon up it needs to be straight
[00:43:46] Straight yeah, I can see that but like I don't want it being like when I when I go to chomp the bacon
[00:43:51] It's like oh see I love it, you know like crun- I don't want the crunchy
[00:43:54] I want the like it'll stand up straight, but it's like it's like chewy
[00:43:58] What are you going with no I want it's extremely crispy I want everything burnt like my usual cooking
[00:44:05] Yeah, I'm like the medium like the medium bacon type of guy crispy bacon for the wind
[00:44:09] Especially make like a BLT or BLTA. Yeah, you don't want soft bacon on that
[00:44:14] Absolutely, you know, I'm not everything bagel season you put on the you know tomato you slap that on it
[00:44:19] You know you put it on this way. Yeah do the everything seasoning on the BLT. Yeah
[00:44:24] Yeah, you salt the tomato salt peppers. I use dandos. I'm a big dandos me ever watch his videos dano
[00:44:30] No, I don't think so yum-yum get you some what his his videos change the way I cook forever
[00:44:36] And the way I season my food
[00:44:38] Later salt welcome low sodium real flavor. Yeah, it is good flavor real flavor all about not fillers
[00:44:45] It's not bullshit. It's good stuff. No, okay, no seasoning
[00:44:47] I usually go on for like, you know this random, you know lady off Instagram saying this is your new
[00:44:53] Go-to dish for your family this season, you know, and I just
[00:44:57] I don't usually you know, I save it for later. I'm gonna say yay
[00:45:00] I can't wait to see it and then I never do and then you never look at it again, right?
[00:45:03] That's not like what Pinterest is it's just to like things and then never look at them again
[00:45:07] You know, that's my Instagram right now. It's just like, you know puppy photos and then like, you know tons of
[00:45:12] Things are gonna make might never do. I'm really happy because recently I've really been
[00:45:19] opening up the cat algorithm a
[00:45:21] Little bit on the social media. Yeah, so it's like all the cat stuff
[00:45:25] I'm starting to get that and it's just it's so much better for my health
[00:45:29] Then one of those guys it just it's like for your page
[00:45:33] Yeah, I mean well, I'm trying I'm trying to dial it in like get you know because because I do click on like the dumb
[00:45:39] like they like oh
[00:45:42] You know test test your girl's loyalty video or something like like all those horrible
[00:45:47] Yeah, and I'll like I'll get dived into those a little bit and then I'll and all of a sudden I delve in and
[00:45:54] And then all of a sudden like I'm seeing all this
[00:45:58] non-faithful type shit so
[00:46:00] I've been
[00:46:03] intentionally
[00:46:05] disliking things of that nature and then intentionally liking the cats and like the innocent
[00:46:11] Kind of fluffy stuff. Yeah, and the algorithm. Yeah, the algorithm is going it's going in the right direction
[00:46:16] Mine's all cooking videos really
[00:46:19] And then goats
[00:46:20] Somehow somehow goats and racing we got this guy that makes car noises through a paper towel
[00:46:27] Like to be like making these car mister car sounds absolutely tremendous. Yeah, he's basically a beatboxer, but for car noises
[00:46:35] Be loud and everything you do. That's his slogan solid lad. We're gonna get him on
[00:46:40] Yeah, I'll show you some of these videos when we're done here. We have a lot to do after the show
[00:46:44] We're gonna we do got a lot
[00:46:45] We're gonna like that Pinterest thing save it for labor never gonna happen
[00:46:48] so so my question though since you know summers right around the corner and
[00:46:54] The mountains are you know calling the snow is the snow is melting
[00:46:58] So who is on the red rocks list this summer that?
[00:47:04] You already have tickets that or that you need to buy tickets to go to oh
[00:47:08] My goodness well like I said before
[00:47:11] You know my hobbies include from November until you know May is skiing and then once red rocks opens up in April to
[00:47:20] November, you know my my hobbies changed then
[00:47:23] So I've already been to three concerts at Red Rocks this year. Okay. Yes, and I just love that place. It's just
[00:47:30] Just a great place to you know meet up with friends and just release from the work day
[00:47:36] What have you and I just love the music there just sounds incredible. It's my favorite venue
[00:47:41] It's the best venue in the world. It's my favorite thus far
[00:47:43] And I you know when I was in my 20s
[00:47:45] I used to go see music all the time and blah blah blah and and I just love that place
[00:47:50] But my big thing this summer is actually my grandma is coming to town in July
[00:47:56] And she and I are gonna go see oh
[00:48:00] My goodness, I'm so excited about it. I couldn't even think about it for a minute
[00:48:03] I
[00:48:05] Don't know I'm gonna go see Billy Joel actually. Oh nice at course field. Oh, yeah, that's right
[00:48:10] He's playing course field. Yeah, and so you know and she doesn't go to concerts very often
[00:48:15] I have here and I just want to get us in there and it'll be fun
[00:48:18] I'm so excited about it. Yeah, that'll be a nice memory. Yeah
[00:48:23] Like concerts and venues that those are kind of fun memories. Yeah
[00:48:27] Traveling to other venues or whatever. I need to get some concert tickets now
[00:48:30] I'm like thinking about it like well, I don't even know who but I just need to go when you're in Sweden in August
[00:48:36] Which we're still not sure how we're gonna do the podcast kids will get on that. We'll get to that
[00:48:39] Oh, you know, we came in like, you know, maybe it's like seven hour different
[00:48:43] Yeah, so we'll see more to come on that but while you're there Chris Isaac Chris Isaac is in Sweden
[00:48:48] You guys see him at Stockholm. I love Chris Isaac
[00:48:52] Well and also I'm gonna be wingmanning for my brother heavy out there and honestly Chris Isaac concert
[00:48:58] I mean you have to go I mean come on
[00:49:02] He plays wicked games one time
[00:49:04] Literally my band we covered that song for that reason. Yeah. Yeah, it's a it's a penny dropper
[00:49:14] Yeah, so I think I should pull the green light on that
[00:49:16] I do want to I do need to look at the Red Rock schedule and just just book something
[00:49:23] Dirk's Bentley I just need to get it. I just need to get it on he comes every September. I love Dirk's
[00:49:26] Oh my god, are you serious? Oh, yeah, no, there's there's just so many good every everything
[00:49:31] You can imagine at Red Rocks if you like, you know from you know Taylor Swift
[00:49:36] He's not like, you know the whole Taylor Swift at red, you know, but are you a Swiftie?
[00:49:41] I'm actually not okay, you know, I respect her. I'm happy that she's doing the damn thing
[00:49:46] But she is a badass. She just know my cup of tea. I like a little more weird, you know funky
[00:49:52] Bitch
[00:49:57] Is that a fish song
[00:50:03] That FBM that's that funky bitch music
[00:50:11] Yeah music festival are kind of fun too no totally I mean but I'm too I'm too old now
[00:50:16] You know, I was younger. I used to go to all the ways. Why you told
[00:50:19] You know, but I'm graduating this fall. Why have you and I just you know, I I have other priorities right now
[00:50:25] The music festivals gave me I love that. I'm happy for them
[00:50:28] I have you have a great time when I was younger and went to music festivals, but you know now
[00:50:33] I'm just trying to stay on your lane
[00:50:35] Yeah
[00:50:37] They're hard I guess so yeah
[00:50:39] You're not using that blinker and getting off on the music festival Boulevard. Not anymore
[00:50:44] I think it's my blinker though. That's good. I don't travel and you know the passing lane. That's good
[00:50:50] Yeah, make sure you got plenty of blinker fluid. Yes
[00:50:54] And if it's not full you should go to your local O'Reilly's or car parts and
[00:50:59] And find that and mention that we told you to grab the blinker fluid. Yeah 10% off. Yeah, yeah
[00:51:06] You can get pulled over if your blinker fluid is low
[00:51:10] There's a lot of people that are gonna believe this
[00:51:13] I don't know if that's funny or concerning or both. It's both. It's okay. It's definitely both
[00:51:18] Yeah, yeah, you know check your blinker fluid is with my cars in the shop right now. I'd walk here. He did what yeah
[00:51:24] My water pump went my old Ford. Oh, I got my Subaru so I can always give you right home. That's good to know for sure
[00:51:29] Yeah, I'm on yeah
[00:51:30] But yeah shout out to front range. I told I tell everyone I'm gonna give a shout out
[00:51:34] What was it front-range tire and auto? I'll see you guys in the morning
[00:51:37] One show is just gonna be a show of shout outs because all Kevin's promises while he's over here
[00:51:42] I know right promise him everything delivered nothing. Whoa. Whoa. I don't know if we're gonna stick to that. Yeah, that's not
[00:51:50] Promises he probably should you know shrimp politics
[00:51:55] Not a part of that
[00:51:56] What part of politics I wanted I wanted to be in Congress when I was younger
[00:52:00] I could see you running for like mayor a part of politics that is strictly cult related
[00:52:06] No, I'm not doing that it would it would be like emailing you and writing letters into you every day
[00:52:11] If I was a political blonde beard cold
[00:52:14] Dude, they said there's red in my beard. I had blonde beard
[00:52:18] Colored beard colored beard cult. I don't know about that calm
[00:52:21] I don't see like you know those Boston guys. Those are more like the beard guys
[00:52:25] You know, you know we're talking earlier and so you haven't get your opinion on this too cuz yeah never heard of this
[00:52:29] I've never I've never heard of Boston businessmen right Boston businessmen. Let's favorite. Let's remember
[00:52:35] Yeah, right Gillette is right there in Boston. It's a Gillette razors, right?
[00:52:39] Right Boston a New England thing to do is to get up and clean shave before they go to work like businessmen. Oh, yeah
[00:52:47] Yeah, I am I'm way about that. Yes, of course. That's a very Boston thing
[00:52:53] I'm silly, you know, they get up and they shave clean shaven
[00:52:56] And we're gonna we're gonna you know execute the rest of the day
[00:52:59] It's gonna be great. You always know you're dealing with the boss of business man
[00:53:02] At least three razor cuts on his face
[00:53:06] He's business that point. He's not fucking around. Yeah, he's gonna make a serious
[00:53:10] He's gonna make it. It's gonna happen today. Yeah, I just need another new England to confirm that because I've been there 15 years
[00:53:16] Things might have changed. Hmm. No, no, no, I still the same. I mean I I
[00:53:21] Hate to say this but I do miss Tom Brady. I miss Bill Belichick. I miss the old Patriots
[00:53:28] I cried here we go. Yeah, we reach this point of the episode
[00:53:32] Do that look there's a two-thirds majority here. Yeah, two-thirds would rule in any cult
[00:53:38] No, right
[00:53:39] You too hold the majority right now. So I guess we do Tom Brady is my cold
[00:53:43] I'm Bella check and Brady. I love Tom Brady. I love Bill Belichick
[00:53:46] I was here in Denver at the game for Bill Belichick's last win as a new England Patriot. Thanks again, Joey Hedge for that
[00:53:53] Unfortunately, I was extremely drunk on that one and then we know what happened after I ended up having to shit on Colfax
[00:53:57] It really it really took a turn for the rest became the infamous Colfax crapper
[00:54:06] Yeah, and that is the name of my other cult the Colfax crapper cult. Yeah, that's that triple C but
[00:54:12] So yeah, Tom Brady. I was there for the last game, which was really cool
[00:54:15] I mean with Bill Belichick, right and then he announced he was leaving the team
[00:54:18] I cried and then you know Brady the Brady roast was like a reunion. Oh my god
[00:54:23] That was amazing for me. Everyone my house was like, this is trash. It was fantastic
[00:54:28] It was amazing. It was pure gold. It was literally the best thing I've ever seen all year
[00:54:32] Yeah, well an outside of like the the Brady thing but just the fact that they brought in crude comedy and that it was
[00:54:41] Everyone was laughing having a good time with this crude comedy which is considered politically not correct anymore
[00:54:46] But which is which is ridiculous because because because
[00:54:50] Comedy should be like that area where you can laugh at all the the bad things like
[00:54:56] Like and modern society is so sensitive and as far as I can see that was a breath of fresh air
[00:55:03] It was as far as like having this crude comedy
[00:55:06] Which has its place and if you're getting offended by crude comedy then like don't watch your reactive person
[00:55:12] Yeah, turn it off. No one's forcing you to watch it. Yeah
[00:55:16] You don't have to be offended you could just turn it off
[00:55:18] Yeah, I thought it was fantastic
[00:55:20] It was well done and I like that they did it live because live creates more opportunities for like good shit to happen
[00:55:25] Right. There's not like all we're gonna edit that out later
[00:55:27] Even though I did hear they edited some of it out if you want to watch it back now
[00:55:30] Like when a cart out was a Kardashian got booed. Oh, yeah, they edited that out. Hmm
[00:55:36] I boot or two. Why do they why do they edit that stuff out? Like what?
[00:55:39] I'm not a big fan of her like not everyone can love everyone like you know
[00:55:42] Not everyone has love for me. Not everyone has love for like all people like this is how it and that's okay
[00:55:47] Yeah, we have to accept the fact that like not everyone's gonna like us. That's okay
[00:55:51] Yeah, and then so two weeks ago we had we had a guest on that's a new England Patriots fan
[00:55:56] But she's not a Tom Brady fan. What?
[00:55:59] Thinking about it live lost a little bit of sleep about it because it doesn't quite make sense to me
[00:56:03] Remember Erin was talking about this our guest a few weeks ago
[00:56:06] Well, I'm sure she's great, but I'll see now kind of judging her
[00:56:09] But I'll come to her defense here because she's not here
[00:56:13] But she did say that she liked how he played but she respected him on the field
[00:56:16] But she wasn't a fan of who he was off the field
[00:56:20] Well, so she was a fan of the football career. That's fair, but not his personal
[00:56:25] I like his like yeah, I'm ready personality. Yes. Sure. Yeah, okay
[00:56:30] But as a Patriots fans what he did for us
[00:56:32] Like whatever he did with Giselle or Michelle before that doesn't have anything to do with the Super Bowl rings that we won
[00:56:37] Right. Yeah, and I'm not gonna judge him off of that
[00:56:41] I'm just you know off of like, you know his performance with what happened to the team and with Bill Belichick
[00:56:46] But I guess this is who I am as a new England fan truly, you know
[00:56:50] Tom Brady for life every day. That's why I do not watch football anymore. Really you gave it up
[00:56:55] I honestly just I stuck with our team. I see yeah, I endorse giving up watching sports
[00:57:01] I definitely get I do not agree with this message. I I completely
[00:57:05] Believe that there's more important things to focus on than sports
[00:57:09] Okay, you know the Bruins, you know got
[00:57:12] Celtics now so now the Celtics I'm always Boston through and through after I'm sorry
[00:57:17] I just gotta be wrong with that, you know, you gotta rep your turf blade
[00:57:21] It'll always be Boston through and through that's a true to Englander like every team Red Sox
[00:57:26] You know, I grew up in Yankees fan. No, but we won't tell anyone don't tell anyone. Yeah, I
[00:57:32] Just told the world. So yeah, I was a Boston kid
[00:57:34] As a Yankee fan, I think I just like to piss people off
[00:57:37] Well, I mean Greg have we say Greg? Yeah, Greg Langlois is Langlois Greg Langlois
[00:57:42] How are you gonna? I live with him fucking live live in New England and be a Miami Dolphin
[00:57:47] He was born and raised in look at Sonya's face. Look at her face that says it all Greg
[00:57:53] I'm gonna cut a promo club. Just did that send it to him
[00:57:56] He grew up in Providence Rhode Island grew up moved to New Hampshire
[00:58:00] Okay, and I am a Dolphin span was his like his folks has the Dolphin's logo tattooed on his calf
[00:58:07] It's rough
[00:58:11] Okay, that's
[00:58:12] So who is Greg and we're Greg still awesome and I love the karaoke Greg because you're probably
[00:58:18] Do that. Yeah, it's awesome. It takes confidence and I love it. It's sexy. Yeah, he's a good guy for typical typical New Englander
[00:58:25] For sure. He likes Miami Dolphin. So they're appreciate those weirdos. Okay, right?
[00:58:30] But our paths look Drake may that's our new guy
[00:58:33] Drake it's Mayday. All right, I'm sticking with Mayday. All right. So my Mac Jones Jersey. It's a number 10, right?
[00:58:39] He's number 10. I'm just gonna cover the ten had the Jones with May. Yeah, I don't have to buy a New Jersey that way
[00:58:45] I think it's quite clever
[00:58:46] That's that's the way to go. Honestly. Yeah, I just
[00:58:50] You just go by a patch and sew it over. That's what I'm saying. Yeah
[00:58:54] I gotta stick with my paths. Yeah, I can't leave
[00:58:57] I'm gonna go back to the Bruins and just call it a day
[00:59:00] I mean just because we're gonna maybe win one game this year if we're lucky paths are gonna be the worst team in the league
[00:59:05] Oh gosh, I still got to watch them see all these years of glory
[00:59:12] They have a cost. Yeah, just ask the Dallas Cowboys. They have a cost. I just love to be a winner
[00:59:19] But to be to be a continuous winner. We gotta know how to lose and that's tough. That's tough to teach in the ring
[00:59:25] Not my 30s come on. I've been a winner all my life when win win
[00:59:29] I gotta relearn how to be a winner again. Yeah, I know but it's okay because we'll get there
[00:59:34] I believe in the team. I believe in Drodd Mayo taking over his head coach
[00:59:38] I'm alright with it
[00:59:40] So I don't have a choice do I look you know at Jerry Seinfeld had a whole thing on
[00:59:48] Sports teams and like this whole bit unlike, you know being fans
[00:59:52] Like you could have like you like your players and stuff and then you get upset when the player goes to another team
[00:59:58] Yeah, you know, but it's like all all the I'm not gonna be able to deliver it as funny as Seinfeld did
[01:00:03] He's definitely a legend. Yeah total legend, but that's what's funny about sports because we're like
[01:00:08] And look I'm still like I still love the Broncos and I quit watching football because of how frustrated I
[01:00:15] Would get when the team would lose because the Broncos were like we've had our Super Bowls
[01:00:20] Sure, but then we had you know greasy coming through and fucking Tebow coming through and shit and like list goes on
[01:00:27] Yeah, and the list and the list goes on and it was it was tough respect
[01:00:30] So that's when I actually quit sports was during like these losing periods because I and like I guess I'm a fair weather fan
[01:00:36] Yeah, I would say so I guess you would call me that only root for the team when they win
[01:00:40] Well, I was rooting them for them for years after when they were losing
[01:00:44] Yeah
[01:00:44] During after the elevator it made me so frustrated like I had to stop watching sports because I would get
[01:00:50] So pissed off over the Broncos losing that like it was affecting my week
[01:00:56] And so at that point in time, that's that's when I I slowly let go of sports
[01:01:02] Is during that period of time?
[01:01:05] That is me Arthur is me and I am now and that's exactly what's happening. I just tough
[01:01:11] She's letting it go. It's not an easy period
[01:01:14] transition
[01:01:16] No, no and he might not go anywhere else. He's gonna be he's gonna do Peyton show this year
[01:01:20] Yeah, I'm just like living Florida. I like those freaking dogs or whatever and that's just I do see him sneaking out of that girls house on the ring
[01:01:26] Camera
[01:01:30] So happy for our team
[01:01:34] Yeah, I mean what a legend
[01:01:40] It's classy you just see Bell check come out shirtless it's like 6 a.m. 6 15 like
[01:01:45] He's like going down her back patio. It's like kind of looking around
[01:01:49] Just give us head if you would just get yeah, if you would have just kept this head down
[01:01:52] Yeah, Bell wasn't very good at doing that, but God bless him. He's gonna be like 72
[01:01:56] I think he should just go live his best life sail to
[01:01:59] You know Martha's vineyard
[01:02:03] Up there with Robert Kraft mr. Kraft. Yeah, it's all it you know that he like you know in the
[01:02:10] You know his his roast right happy. He was like, you know
[01:02:13] Calm down when they they're talking about Robert Kraft
[01:02:16] Oh, yeah, I'm a novice like all right
[01:02:19] Well, cuz I think Brady had an agreement with well
[01:02:22] I don't have any agreement because Nikki Glaser said there was no pre-planning that show everyone wrote their bits and they showed up
[01:02:26] And obviously Jeff Ross was good somebody was gonna work in a massage joke about Robert Kraft
[01:02:31] Like it was like there was gonna be deflated bull jokes. I mean it's Tom Brady roast
[01:02:35] We knew those were coming, but that's what crossed the line for Tom. He's like don't don't say that about mr.
[01:02:40] I don't know Kraft what he's the owner of the Patriots. Okay, Robert Kraft
[01:02:45] Yeah, he was getting rubbing tugs in a in a Florida massage parlor and you know that became a big deal
[01:02:51] It's like, you know his wife Myra died in 2011. I think it was you know, I mean
[01:02:59] What kind of low-life person would expose this man of this information like why would why would you need to?
[01:03:07] Someone didn't get enough yeah, somebody didn't get paid enough and then yeah someone's always trying to wreck someone else's success
[01:03:13] And that's too bad honestly, you know because he's had a great, you know greats of sex with the you know
[01:03:17] Whole Patriots and why I just wanted to have a little piece of the pie
[01:03:20] It's just one of those things because now mr. Kraft is known for this rubbing tug
[01:03:24] You know, it's just like you could be your whole you could be the best farmer your entire life
[01:03:28] Just you know feeding the population
[01:03:31] And then and then you like fucking you have sex with the sheep once and then all of a sudden everybody's like
[01:03:37] He's the sheep fucker and they don't they forget all about a little dark there already
[01:03:41] No, you're going that way
[01:03:42] Forget about all all the food and produce you fed because he fucked a sheep
[01:03:46] Yeah, and then all of a sudden you're known as that guy this episode is gonna get all kinds of flags
[01:03:50] But we're too we're too committed at this point shout to sheep farmers
[01:03:53] Yeah
[01:03:55] Out there keep I understood your analogy that makes sense. Yeah do a lot of good and then you do some weird shit
[01:04:01] That's it. That's all you remember. Yeah, and here's the thing like like
[01:04:05] honestly
[01:04:07] Everyone has done a questionable thing in their life. Oh, I've done more than every single person
[01:04:14] So it's like you're gonna see a sheep or anything. You're gonna sit here and act like like you're like to clarify
[01:04:19] Yeah, I didn't fucking she had to think about it for a minute. Yeah
[01:04:22] Yeah, you're gonna sit here and act like like your slate is clean right while you're calling out somebody else on their dirty laundry
[01:04:30] Yeah, and see that's the thing Kevin eats meatballs. He's not like, you know going out fucking sheep. That's right
[01:04:34] I just like balls sometimes
[01:04:38] The meaty kind
[01:04:40] They'd shrimp meatballs or two actually I was gonna get that but I'm still weird about that like I talked about earlier
[01:04:45] It honestly wait, it looks amazing. Wait, have you actually tried like
[01:04:49] You know Rocky Mountain. Oh, yeah, I love them
[01:04:52] I had before I was gluten-free and they are fantastic very rich because the breading right?
[01:04:57] Yeah, I was ready and then you know, they had like amazing. Are you all we know that it's really good
[01:05:02] So it's no I enjoy people think it's gross cuz reten bull nuts or whatever but so what I mean deep deep fried
[01:05:07] Everything tastes the same we eat livers and giblets of other animals like what's the difference?
[01:05:12] Oh my god
[01:05:12] I've eaten like sheep's brain back in Maine
[01:05:15] I mean and it was like the number one chef and like Portland, Maine like made that and it was fantastic
[01:05:22] It's kind of like spam sheep's brain. I've never I've never had a great man
[01:05:26] I had cow head before like where you picked the meat off the skull and then like the eyeballs and stuff
[01:05:29] Hmm, that's pretty good. Yeah, I'll try anything. I'll eat anything though. I eat weird shit
[01:05:34] I think from like New England we have like a you know, like a reasoning of like, you know
[01:05:38] We're down to try anything. You know, yeah squirrel I
[01:05:42] Would I haven't I've eaten rabbit
[01:05:46] And they're just like very like lean, you know me yeah or like yard bird like quail. Oh
[01:05:51] Yeah, quail. I would try that too. There's not much meat on it. It's just like a very yeah, like a very like lean protein. Yeah
[01:05:58] Yeah, we'll pretty much eat any I had snapping turtle that was interesting
[01:06:02] What part of the turtle do you eat?
[01:06:04] No, I didn't the neck. I think I'd want to eat the neck
[01:06:07] Do you feel guilty like also killing one? I didn't kill it. Okay. No, I wasn't like hunting it or anything
[01:06:13] All right, I'm pretty sure that's illegal
[01:06:15] Snapping turtle hunting. Yeah, I don't know
[01:06:18] And you're like that thing will chop your damn arm off. Yeah, I'd be scared
[01:06:25] You never had turtle like any turtle that's real big on East Coast
[01:06:28] Well, not just snapping turtle could be like a you know, like maybe it's from Philadelphia
[01:06:32] Oh
[01:06:33] Oh
[01:06:36] Yeah, fuck Philly no fuck Philly fuck your team fuck your city fuck Philly
[01:06:40] Delphi literally fuck Philly. That's the most Boston shit. I've heard in a long time
[01:06:44] Honestly, I actually drove past some guy because he you know Philly's played last week or whatever
[01:06:48] And I drove past some guy and I was like fuck Philly and he was like well fuck you too
[01:06:53] Yeah
[01:06:55] Choking man, and he was like drop you know come up to my car and I was like wow fuck Philly indefinitely
[01:07:00] Yeah, it's that's that this East Coast rivalry, you know, we'll talk shit to each other
[01:07:04] It's like all right. Let's go grab a beer right exactly, but he was like aggressive about it
[01:07:08] I want to be like yo bro like pull over. I don't even drink anymore. But like I'll buy you a beer
[01:07:12] But yeah also fuck Philly
[01:07:16] You did start that one though that was on you
[01:07:19] You were you weren't you were looking for trouble. I did honestly
[01:07:22] I was just talking funny, you know like when you're in Boston, you know, I've been to the Boston games
[01:07:26] You know, I've been way, you know and you're like
[01:07:29] Screw everything blah blah blah, but anyways, I'll buy you a beer. Who cares? That's the Boston way
[01:07:34] That's very Boston if you fuck you you want a beer
[01:07:37] You fight in the parking lot and then you you'll get a hot dog
[01:07:40] I did the guy from California, and he was like why are you so mean? I was like get over I'll buy you a beer
[01:07:46] It's just East Coast. That's how we are. Yeah means I like you actually
[01:07:50] Yeah, that's how you know, you know, three people like shit. That's how you find out
[01:07:55] But also fuck Philly fuck Philly
[01:07:57] But yeah, so Philadelphia turtle she hadn't had it you ever had to
[01:08:06] I don't really confused
[01:08:08] Turtle I feel like there's like a dirty joke there that I was trying to like
[01:08:12] Yeah, I was like trying to brew up like a turtle joke. Yeah
[01:08:16] But I did I fell short. I fell short on my my turtling. That's okay. Mm-hmm anyhow, it was pretty tasty
[01:08:24] It was actually okay. Yeah, it's good and I like the Cajun shit. I like the gator and all that, you know
[01:08:29] I got some buddies from New Orleans. I think you met those guys. Oh
[01:08:33] Oh my god, those guys are amazing and actually to touch on that I went to New Orleans after our
[01:08:41] You know our whole experience because I remember when I taught you guys last time
[01:08:45] I was pretty uncultured and and then so yeah, I went to New Orleans a great city
[01:08:50] Amazing fantastic. I went there for you know a bachelor party and that was oh boy. Yeah
[01:08:56] It was really pandemic too, so they had like, you know a lot of glass
[01:09:00] Up and why happy but we broke through that. Yeah, no Orleans. It's a fun. You were just there recently for Mardi Gras
[01:09:06] I just feel like that town it's it's like
[01:09:09] Culture so rich with foods delicious and then it smells like vomit all at the same time
[01:09:15] Pretty much that's kind of how I summed up in New Orleans. Yeah, I mean I I will say there
[01:09:20] I will say during Mardi Gras. I've never seen and this is a compliment. I've never seen
[01:09:26] So much trash accumulate on one street. It's bad within like four hours
[01:09:32] Like right because everyone's party in the parade's happening
[01:09:34] It's all going on and then the clean-up effort. Oh my goodness
[01:09:40] I would walk out in the morning and you wouldn't even you wouldn't even been able to have tell that there was like it was
[01:09:45] That old squad. Yes
[01:09:47] So and then so I had like a hotel room that was
[01:09:50] Over-viewing one of the side streets and on the side street
[01:09:53] They had all of the cleanup crew like that logistic operation
[01:09:58] I saw them all lining up and it was very impressive
[01:10:02] So as far as like wow throwing down and cleaning up
[01:10:06] I've never seen this city clean up as quick as I saw
[01:10:10] New Orleans
[01:10:11] Yeah, oh, yeah Vegas. I feel like Boston's generally
[01:10:15] They party hard work hard. So it's kind of like that same mentality a little bit like we'll make a mess
[01:10:20] But we'll clean it up right yeah
[01:10:22] It's like your dad's you know gonna go out and just like you know just scream about Tom Brady
[01:10:25] And then but he's also gonna sweep it up later. Yeah. Yeah, we're gonna rake the yard
[01:10:28] Yeah, you know you get two things in a lot of your father's for like infili they pull down street lamps fuck Philly
[01:10:34] I'm not saying
[01:10:37] We're right, it's okay
[01:10:39] But see here's the thing is I've never had an urge to travel to Boston or Philadelphia
[01:10:43] So like I just don't have an urge to you don't want to like enrich your history
[01:10:47] I mean, I'll like maybe go on the outskirts or something. I've never had like to go to Boston
[01:10:52] Yeah, I've never had that itch where it's like I gotta go to Boston
[01:10:56] It's a musko city but how about Philly
[01:10:59] You can skip
[01:11:02] If unless you go to Gino's cheese steaks other than that
[01:11:05] No
[01:11:08] Not the turtle and then the Liberty Bell, you know the Liberty bells and Philly dang we've all done it
[01:11:14] All right pass. It's broken for a reason. Yeah, that's your experience in Philly
[01:11:18] You know Jersey, I'm not a big fan of Jersey
[01:11:21] See I've been to Jersey and then I saw New York City from Jersey and I was like
[01:11:26] I was like, I don't need to know if I need to go in there. Yeah, it's a madhouse in there
[01:11:30] AC is great though, you know, Atlantic City. I went there for a bachelor party
[01:11:34] That's like that's like the East Coast Vegas. It is the East Coast Vegas
[01:11:38] It's great. Atlantic City is AC. Okay, I see and the New Orleans is the south
[01:11:42] I went there when it was still the
[01:11:44] Trump Taj Mahal. Okay. Oh, wow. It's definitely not
[01:11:49] anymore
[01:11:50] He lost some real estate for sure. He lost a lot of yeah
[01:11:53] It's now I think it's like hard rock
[01:11:56] But it was so awesome though, but yeah, definitely East Coast Vegas
[01:12:00] Yeah, East Coast Vegas Atlantic City rest of the state and care for felt like it like their their models the garden state
[01:12:07] Mm-hmm. I feel like it's more like the garbage state
[01:12:09] I mean the area that I was in was like the all the plants were super. I mean, there's nice areas
[01:12:13] It was it was pretty yeah, there's nice areas like Harrowland Kumar was filmed somewhere over there. You see that movie?
[01:12:18] Are you serious?
[01:12:20] New Jersey, yeah, because they end up in Newark at one point, which is not a great place
[01:12:25] No, no, it's been to Newark or Elizabeth
[01:12:27] No, you want to get right out of there
[01:12:29] Yeah
[01:12:30] In the beginning of the Sopranos intro which he's getting into fantastic show Tony's driving through there
[01:12:36] Okay place we're talking about cuz he's living New Jersey and goes into New York because you know his very legitimate
[01:12:42] Garbage business. Yes very legitimate. Yes. Yeah Ramon. Great show. That is a great show
[01:12:48] Yeah
[01:12:50] I'm a mega surprise. Yeah, I can't say you know, but Tony Junior's having bigger, you know issues and he's like
[01:13:00] I don't wanna go to fucking Maine. Oh, yeah, and you know, I'm like well

[01:13:09] Yeah, I'm sorry. I took it away. No, it's okay. I get I could tell it gets trim altruist
[01:13:14] Oh, there's so much good shit in that show though. And then did you watch the many saints in Newark on HBO?

[01:17:18] Are you are you a betting girl? I actually am
[01:17:21] I bet on when the
[01:17:24] Celtics are gonna win this last round and I put three bucks down and I won 35
[01:17:28] $3 bet. Yeah, see we do NASCAR betting
[01:17:30] I do like small bats
[01:17:31] I do fun ones and like no one's gonna bet on you see what Portnoy's putting down
[01:17:35] I mean, he's got shit ton of money
[01:17:37] But 300,000 on Edmonton to win the Stanley Cup way before I bet it was even a threat and Edmonton's kicking ass
[01:17:44] What yeah, so he's gonna get a big
[01:17:47] Pay off off that. I mean the Oilers and the stars they have to get past the stars
[01:17:52] And then it's the Panthers and the Rangers fuck the Rangers
[01:17:56] Okay, New York Rangers no never hear me out
[01:18:00] So I'm so mad at Florida for kicking us out for the second year
[01:18:04] I would agree with that. Yeah, that you want the Rangers to beat them exactly
[01:18:09] But it also feels like I'm like doing it injustice to my family rooting for New York
[01:18:15] Yeah, I was a Yankee fan growing up. So I know I know about this like literally fuck everything
[01:18:20] But also I don't want Florida to win. So it's like the better of two. I'm going for Dallas
[01:18:27] You know but also
[01:18:29] Shout out to Dallas because you know, he's also play on Boston who plays on Dallas now is Tyler Sagan
[01:18:37] and Tyler Sagan is an amazing star player and there's like a
[01:18:43] Have you ever seen it before? There's like a
[01:18:47] There's like a meme or whatever and he used to play on the Boston south Boston Bruins
[01:18:53] And now he's a star and so there's like a
[01:18:57] Poster when you guys get this, you know edited please put it over me
[01:19:01] It's like we suck your dick in high school and it was
[01:19:05] I have seen that
[01:19:11] Next to the glass and they're like we said you dick in high school or ever and well my only question them
[01:19:16] Are you gonna do it again?
[01:19:19] Yeah, are you gonna be there for us?
[01:19:22] Yeah
[01:19:25] And now he's a wick he's a big stat. I know literally playing for the staz
[01:19:29] I mean, he's him. He's honestly an amazing
[01:19:31] Athlete, but I just love looking back on that and I'm like that is pretty funny
[01:19:35] That is pretty fun. It's been good talent up there in Boston like Tyler Batoosie's with Toronto now. You know, we've lost some talent. I
[01:19:42] Like Batoosie though. Yeah, but
[01:19:44] But now we're gonna cry about it, you know, and then we're gonna have Tara Sagan make you know
[01:19:49] Make some typical Boston though. We just move on to the next team. Well next
[01:19:54] Because when we when you you know when you're that much when you do that much winning as Charlie Sheen would say
[01:20:01] Honestly in that person
[01:20:03] You're Charlie she's more
[01:20:06] Wow, I don't I don't hang out that many, you know prostitutes or do that much cocaine
[01:20:11] But I do appreciate winning, you know as a new Englander gets spoiled, you know
[01:20:17] So winning is associated with prostitutes and cocaine
[01:20:25] Yeah, I don't take that one
[01:20:27] You know, maybe 20 years ago like before cocaine would kill you right when it was like cool, you know
[01:20:33] It used to be a cool drug now. It's just killing people because it's that all
[01:20:36] That's why you know, I just want to I want to focus on you know what makes me feel good
[01:20:40] Yeah, you know how you know, I know I'm getting old the cocaine is shittier now
[01:20:45] It is it's just a fact
[01:20:48] It's not worth it. It's absolutely not worth it, you know, you know
[01:20:51] I really think my parents lived the best party generation. I'm we missed it the 70s like when my parents were throwing down
[01:20:57] God damn that was the time that was the place to be at
[01:21:00] I mean, they're just before phones and you know, you could get away with shit, you know
[01:21:05] There's just one of the serial murderers out like Ted Bundy's
[01:21:09] You know, that was a 70s you can't ever like
[01:21:12] All day you can't
[01:21:17] Was Ted Bundy a cool murder I think he was kind of a Ted Bundy have a cold no
[01:21:24] Fact about me about colds, right so, you know
[01:21:29] Charles Manson
[01:21:32] He and I the same birthday interesting
[01:21:36] And also, you know, what's her name?
[01:21:40] My name is Sonya Tanya Harding and I have the same birthday as well
[01:21:45] That's why you say as long as it's not Tonya because I can never pronounce your name and I get a little bit
[01:21:50] Yeah, and I'm like, please don't associate you with that. You know, but that's fair
[01:21:54] but now it's me and
[01:21:56] Charles Manson Tonya Harding. Well, I feel I feel like we're just
[01:22:01] Barely scratching the surface here of where this could go. Yeah, we're already at almost
[01:22:06] On this on this app. No, this this has been so good. Are you serious? Yes
[01:22:10] So we have to we have to ask you since it's been so long. Do you remember the question?
[01:22:14] Do you remember the DCPC finale question?
[01:22:17] You remember it. There's so many good ones
[01:22:20] I mean, I thought you guys are just gonna like, you know spitball
[01:22:23] No, you do it this time. Kev the question. Yes
[01:22:26] So the piece of advice
[01:22:28] Question if you could offer one piece of advice to humanity everyone heard this tomorrow
[01:22:32] What would that piece of advice be or has it changed or is it the same as what it once was I remember what you said last time
[01:22:37] I'm more cultured now. Yes. Yes. I remember last time I yes, that's right
[01:22:42] I remember I was like just peeked at each other
[01:22:45] And then that and honestly, I mean, it's just I feel the same way
[01:22:49] You know, I'm just happy to be who I am as a person and I just don't want to you know
[01:22:55] Change on that. So yeah, I think you know to all of our to your listeners and what have you
[01:23:01] Why not, you know, be the same person, you know change for the better
[01:23:05] I think we're all changed for the better, right? You know, like we're not trying to you know
[01:23:09] Have our old vices and why have you and
[01:23:12] listening to ourselves and
[01:23:14] And feeling good about that. So honestly, I guess I haven't changed much in that view
[01:23:20] Good that I think you know, that's how you know, it's true and true. You're sticking to it
[01:23:24] Yeah, I like it one honestly like a lot of the advice that we've heard for
[01:23:30] Humanity and that I've experienced doing this show asking that question is
[01:23:36] Really simple like the advice is always simple
[01:23:39] but the act of
[01:23:41] obtaining the advice is a profound thing
[01:23:44] Simple advice, but profound action
[01:23:48] Seems to be the theme right because it's always so simple like be good to other people
[01:23:52] But then but then you think about that and when you want to like judge somebody like are you actually?
[01:23:58] Thinking about like I'm judging this person right now like it am I being good to this other human being right now while I'm
[01:24:06] actively judging them, you know, so it's like easy to say but then actually
[01:24:11] Putting it to work. That's that's where you really uncover
[01:24:15] How true to the advice you are action speak louder than words, right? Mm-hmm
[01:24:21] Talk is cheap my advice for you this week is fuck Philly
[01:24:25] I
[01:24:27] Had to work that in there
[01:24:30] Well, this flew by honestly, I thought we were only at like maybe 45 minutes, but we're double that yeah, we're crushing
[01:24:35] Oh, we're crushing. Yeah, you know, it's always it just always good by you know way too fast
[01:24:39] See fellas time flies and have a much fun. Yeah, it's good to see you things coming down
[01:24:43] battling the traffic
[01:24:44] Yeah, yeah next time it won't be has been three years been three years since episode 100 that is crazy
[01:24:49] Next time it won't be three years. No, okay?
