[00:00:00] We'll have this discussion

[00:00:02] Discussion, what discussion?

[00:00:03] This is a discussion

[00:00:04] Combustion

[00:00:05] Coming to you from Danver, Colorado

[00:00:08] This is Discussion Combustion Podcast

[00:00:12] With your hosts, Kevin Batstone and Arthur Rawe

[00:00:16] He's a little shy but he's a good host and he's a very good entertainer and like, you know, he loves cooking for people

[00:00:21] Jeff inspired me to get into cooking

[00:00:22] Green Chili's the best

[00:00:23] Dude, his wedding at the table, like his gift to you was his like, rub sauce

[00:00:28] Like you got to take home like this jug of rub sauce and then it was just, it was on everything

[00:00:33] So he's been on point for years

[00:00:34] He made his own, he made his own rub, his own custom rub sauce

[00:00:38] Okay, so he's not just a rub sauce

[00:00:40] And this is a friend of ours, Jeff Krosky, we've been camping with the lad

[00:00:44] He's probably gonna listen to this, what up Jeff?

[00:00:46] Yeah, Jeff, you gotta come in here

[00:00:49] He might only see, he might be that one person that says couple words

[00:00:51] I'll always remember St. Mary's camping with Jeff

[00:00:54] That was such a good time, man

[00:00:57] We got down to St. Mary's with Jeff

[00:00:59] And that's back when he had Tulow, remember Tulow?

[00:01:01] Oh yeah

[00:01:02] Tulow was camping with us, man, and he was cool

[00:01:04] Yeah, R.E.P. Tulow

[00:01:05] Yeah, Rest in Peace Tulow

[00:01:07] But we do have another pup in the studio

[00:01:09] Here I'm hitting four right now, we got a little Shibu

[00:01:11] Geronimo

[00:01:12] Geronimo's in the house

[00:01:13] He's chilling, first ever dog on the podcast

[00:01:15] 245 episodes in

[00:01:17] Oh man, almost five years, right?

[00:01:19] Five years in February

[00:01:20] Don't hit that

[00:01:21] I got that too

[00:01:23] He acts like he's gonna say something but he won't

[00:01:25] Like, let me talk, let me tell him

[00:01:27] And let me tell you how hard it is to breed this dog

[00:01:29] I ran into someone that had the same breed as him

[00:01:32] Okay

[00:01:33] Right before COVID

[00:01:35] And, um, no COVID happened

[00:01:37] I'm still trying to text this person

[00:01:39] I find out like he broke up with his girlfriend

[00:01:41] And she tried to take the dog

[00:01:43] And he ended up fighting to get the dog back

[00:01:45] So after COVID we finally start meeting up again

[00:01:48] And try and get our dogs reintroduced

[00:01:50] It's been since COVID I've been trying to

[00:01:52] Get this dog to hump this female dog

[00:01:54] And produce some breedings

[00:01:56] And dude just never works man

[00:01:58] They're like so territorial

[00:02:00] And they'll play for like 15 minutes

[00:02:02] And then all of a sudden they just want to go like

[00:02:04] Hang out by their master

[00:02:06] She'll like go sit by him, he does this

[00:02:08] And then it's game over

[00:02:10] Hopefully

[00:02:12] I just want another dog with the same genes as him

[00:02:14] Like he's like so calm and collected

[00:02:16] You wouldn't even know he's at work with me

[00:02:18] Cause he just sits by my feet

[00:02:20] Yeah he's got good energy, he's calm

[00:02:22] Yeah Shibu's are really cool

[00:02:24] Cause when I worked at Camp Bowel

[00:02:26] An awesome place if you're ever looking to

[00:02:28] Board your animals

[00:02:30] I would highly recommend it

[00:02:32] Absolutely

[00:02:34] But I worked there for a long time

[00:02:36] And the Shibu Inus definitely had one of the bigger personalities

[00:02:38] Of all the dogs

[00:02:40] Like sometimes we would have to put the Shibu's

[00:02:42] Into like the large dog pit

[00:02:44] Because they had so much extra energy

[00:02:46] And so they're super cool

[00:02:48] Super personality

[00:02:50] Talked though, does he ever kind of talk to you?

[00:02:52] Yeah he howls

[00:02:54] And he howls in the car rides too

[00:02:56] He in like they're loud

[00:02:58] Like they're like they're screamers

[00:03:00] Yeah he like howls like a

[00:03:02] Wolf when I get home

[00:03:04] It's like the best thing like Shiba's energies

[00:03:06] When you get home for the first five minutes

[00:03:08] It's like it melts your heart

[00:03:10] Cause they're just so happy to see you

[00:03:12] This dude's just howling for minutes

[00:03:14] And then it's all over and then it's just like

[00:03:16] And then it's this

[00:03:18] He howls and he like

[00:03:20] He has like this talk, it's so weird

[00:03:22] And it's high pitched

[00:03:24] So it's not like a husky howl

[00:03:26] At first yes

[00:03:28] It's like a husky howl

[00:03:30] But when he talks and he's like screaming

[00:03:32] Like it's a different pitch

[00:03:34] It's loud

[00:03:36] I've heard the husky howl

[00:03:38] That thing would make some noise

[00:03:40] They almost talk to you

[00:03:42] I wish

[00:03:44] If I howl he just looks at me like

[00:03:46] So I actually think that animals

[00:03:48] Understand body language

[00:03:50] Like you know how like if you're trying to communicate

[00:03:52] With somebody that doesn't speak the same language

[00:03:54] As you can do body language like charades

[00:03:56] To help them understand what you're talking about

[00:03:58] I feel like animals

[00:04:00] Are capable of doing the same thing

[00:04:02] I think so, oh by far

[00:04:04] I mean they're probably of course

[00:04:06] Way more intelligent than us

[00:04:08] They're probably better reading

[00:04:10] But yeah like even when I feel sick

[00:04:12] And like not as like emotionally drawn towards him

[00:04:14] He knows you know he kind of just like

[00:04:16] Reflects the same emotions as me

[00:04:18] Or like energy too

[00:04:20] Like he's just he lays by me

[00:04:22] He keeps calm, he checks on me

[00:04:24] And then other times when I'm like

[00:04:26] Super hyperactive like he might be

[00:04:28] Hyper too but they pick up attitudes

[00:04:30] I take all the time

[00:04:32] They mimic their owners Cedar Milan talks about that a lot

[00:04:34] You know the old dog whisperer and now he's got

[00:04:36] A new program where he's still doing the same thing

[00:04:38] But that's what he talks about you know when you enter the room

[00:04:40] The dog is going to feed off your energy immediately

[00:04:42] Bill Burr has a great joke about that too

[00:04:44] Where he's talking, he's like man if you're chilling

[00:04:46] They're chilling, if you're sleeping they're sleeping

[00:04:48] But if you're all cranked up like

[00:04:50] That was a passenger experience

[00:04:52] The dog is like what are you mad at the door

[00:04:54] They feed off that energy

[00:04:56] You don't even want to hear it

[00:04:58] If I'm yelling at the TV over some sports

[00:05:00] He's upstairs, he knows where he's gone

[00:05:02] He's not dealing with that

[00:05:04] Yeah he's over it

[00:05:06] So I feel like humans have that sixth sense though too

[00:05:08] Like I think I've talked about this

[00:05:10] Before on the pod but it's been a minute

[00:05:12] So I'm going to open this up

[00:05:14] We can tell when people are watching us

[00:05:17] And I've done a case study

[00:05:20] On my own accord

[00:05:22] In traffic and it's been over years

[00:05:25] And what you do

[00:05:27] You just stare at people in their cars

[00:05:29] While you're driving

[00:05:30] Like at stop signs

[00:05:32] And like 90% of the time

[00:05:34] People look

[00:05:36] Like they sense it immediately

[00:05:38] Like they know

[00:05:40] So I feel like people have that kind of sixth sense

[00:05:42] Like I'm being watched

[00:05:44] Like your intuition

[00:05:46] Maybe something comes up

[00:05:48] Where it's just uncanny timing

[00:05:50] It's serendipitous timing

[00:05:52] But that's like your intuition led you there

[00:05:54] Sort of thing, it's because it knows things

[00:05:56] That we can't even think of

[00:05:58] And you just got to be tapped in

[00:06:00] Isn't the mind crazy?

[00:06:02] It's just that wonderful thing

[00:06:04] That we really can't even unlock

[00:06:06] And it's just like

[00:06:08] Like the deepest parts of the oceans

[00:06:10] We have no clue about

[00:06:12] Which I would kind of like

[00:06:14] Because I'm scared of water guys

[00:06:16] I'll only get in about waist high

[00:06:18] And then that's about it

[00:06:20] I'll get into swimming pools

[00:06:22] But I'm not a germaphobe

[00:06:24] But I don't like pools too

[00:06:26] Because there's little kids doing things

[00:06:28] There's old skin floating in there

[00:06:30] A lot of times you're just sitting in ass water

[00:06:32] Yeah, so

[00:06:34] I'm just water than me

[00:06:36] And I'm just meat in water

[00:06:38] I'm good on that

[00:06:40] That's another anxiety attack

[00:06:42] You got like the lasophobia

[00:06:44] I went snorkeling one time

[00:06:46] With an ex-girlfriend in Mexico

[00:06:48] And it was probably the worst time

[00:06:50] That I ever had a man up to

[00:06:52] Worst time

[00:06:54] I was just breathing so fast

[00:06:56] And it was like the snorkeling style stuff too

[00:06:58] So you take a deep breath

[00:07:00] And then go down

[00:07:02] And you're already just thinking about this again

[00:07:04] The water is clear too

[00:07:06] So I can see my surroundings

[00:07:08] It makes me so nervous

[00:07:10] Knowing I have to go to Costco

[00:07:12] Makes me so nervous

[00:07:14] That's why I feel about heights a little bit

[00:07:16] As I've gotten older

[00:07:18] Not so much on planes, like I fly a lot

[00:07:20] When I look out the window and see the ground

[00:07:22] Getting further away, that doesn't bother me

[00:07:24] When you see those videos of those guys

[00:07:26] On top of skyscrapers holding up their selfie sticks

[00:07:28] I'm like, it makes my feet sweat

[00:07:30] When it comes to scenes like that

[00:07:32] I love planes, I even love that takeoff part

[00:07:34] It's fun, I love aviation

[00:07:36] That doesn't bother me for some reason

[00:07:38] But with certain scenes like that

[00:07:40] My feet tingle, I'm like, ooh, okay

[00:07:42] When we're on the roof of your building

[00:07:44] It's like a 24-story skyrise

[00:07:46] Even better

[00:07:48] Technically it's a 23

[00:07:50] Because they've removed a 13th floor from buildings

[00:07:54] This one is called the penthouse

[00:07:56] They don't have a fucking 13th floor

[00:07:58] It goes 12, 14

[00:08:00] What is it? Haunted? Is this like some rastitious now?

[00:08:02] It's in a bunch of buildings like that, dude

[00:08:04] I don't know if that's an American thing

[00:08:06] I feel like I was watching somebody gripe on this one time

[00:08:08] And they're griping how like Europe has it right

[00:08:10] Especially with their basement numbers

[00:08:12] Like they have minus 1, minus 2

[00:08:14] You know, it's a negative number

[00:08:16] We already have those for basements

[00:08:18] Like why do we have B1

[00:08:20] They're like, you know all these

[00:08:22] Why do that? I don't know

[00:08:24] That's interesting

[00:08:26] That's a good point

[00:08:28] But I do believe in the sixth sense

[00:08:30] I feel like I have that too

[00:08:32] Because this dog sometimes just stares

[00:08:34] And I could feel him staring at me

[00:08:36] He loves snow, so anytime it snows

[00:08:38] I know because he's like trying to like

[00:08:40] Paw me or like get me to wake up

[00:08:42] Early in the morning to go out there

[00:08:44] And just go play

[00:08:46] And if I catch him before

[00:08:48] He starts like getting real close

[00:08:50] He's weird because this dog

[00:08:52] I know he needs to go outside and go poop

[00:08:54] He refuses

[00:08:56] Like collars and leashes, he hates

[00:08:58] If I could just open the door and let him go

[00:09:00] He's all in

[00:09:02] But I'm like dude, I haven't taken you out for like 6 hours

[00:09:04] I know you gotta go

[00:09:06] Crush your food, like let's go

[00:09:08] And it's a struggle but when it snows

[00:09:10] He's just staring

[00:09:12] And I could just feel him staring at me

[00:09:14] Or if his stomach's upset or something

[00:09:16] I could just feel him wherever the hell he's at

[00:09:18] He's just staring at me

[00:09:20] Alright, let's go

[00:09:22] It feels warm right?

[00:09:24] It's like spidey senses

[00:09:26] It's like what's going on right now

[00:09:28] It's a fun test though

[00:09:30] Like you were saying when in traffic

[00:09:32] They typically do look over there

[00:09:34] They're like picking their nose or something

[00:09:36] And you need to do this

[00:09:38] Because it's not a safe society that we live in

[00:09:40] So if you decide to go ahead

[00:09:42] And start doing this in the field

[00:09:44] What I highly recommend is

[00:09:46] Have a light heart while you're doing it

[00:09:48] And have good energy within your aura

[00:09:50] And then that way when people look

[00:09:52] At you looking at them and they're like

[00:09:54] Look at this weirdo and then you're kind of like

[00:09:56] Because people can sense your aura

[00:09:58] They can sense really where you're coming from

[00:10:00] Just like dogs, what we were talking about

[00:10:02] When your energy enters the room

[00:10:04] And humans can feel energy too

[00:10:06] I believe in all that

[00:10:08] So it's really interesting

[00:10:10] Like when you have these

[00:10:12] Internal conversations with yourself

[00:10:14] That nobody hears

[00:10:16] And you make decisions on who you want to be

[00:10:18] How you want to project yourself

[00:10:20] That's where you really start

[00:10:22] Changing the game around you

[00:10:24] I take the light rail downtown to work

[00:10:26] And it's that whole staring thing

[00:10:28] You know like if you catch someone looking at you

[00:10:30] How are they looking if you see someone

[00:10:32] Kind of like moping or like

[00:10:34] They look like death

[00:10:36] You're not going to sit there and smile back at them

[00:10:38] Like that's the first reaction

[00:10:40] Maybe you should, it might make their day

[00:10:42] But it's that weird feeling

[00:10:44] Of catching someone looking at you

[00:10:46] Like you know it's like what do I do

[00:10:48] Do I laugh, do I smile, do I wave

[00:10:50] Sometimes I just kind of move back

[00:10:52] So there was no joke

[00:10:54] Like these two, yeah well

[00:10:56] I was in my car, I was stopped

[00:10:58] Coming to a stop

[00:11:00] And high school just let out or something

[00:11:02] So there's these two high schoolers that were like walking

[00:11:04] And they were like staring at me

[00:11:06] As they were walking by and I was like

[00:11:08] And I was all like hi

[00:11:10] And I can't roll my window down

[00:11:12] Or nothing because I still got it taped up

[00:11:14] So in those kind of moments

[00:11:16] I wish I could like roll down my window

[00:11:18] Because it's tended to actually be like hey

[00:11:20] But it's all about

[00:11:22] Having fun and like

[00:11:24] Not everyone is having a great day

[00:11:26] It's not always a good day

[00:11:28] But the more that we can try to share that

[00:11:30] Most people just want to be left alone

[00:11:32] You probably see it a lot on the light rail

[00:11:34] They got their earbuds in, they're looking down at their phone

[00:11:36] Everyone's pretty checked out of what's going on around them

[00:11:38] I try and present that sometimes

[00:11:40] Especially on the light rail

[00:11:42] Like nighttime

[00:11:44] I'll just probably have my AirPods in

[00:11:46] But I won't play any music

[00:11:48] Especially if it's like a late night train ride

[00:11:50] Or something from like downtown and drinking

[00:11:52] I trust people

[00:11:54] But I don't trust people on public transportation

[00:11:56] Especially the dumb things you hear on the news

[00:11:58] People getting like punched from behind

[00:12:00] And things like that

[00:12:02] So on a night like that

[00:12:04] I just won't play music, have them in

[00:12:06] So people won't sit next to me or sit there

[00:12:08] And try and have like drunken conversations

[00:12:10] Or listen to or have

[00:12:12] Especially like after a Broncos game

[00:12:14] Or something

[00:12:16] People just want to blab about their own selfish opinions

[00:12:18] I just like have my AirPods in

[00:12:20] And I just listen to everybody else

[00:12:22] And listen for my surroundings

[00:12:24] Otherwise if it's in the morning or mid-afternoon

[00:12:26] I'm just blaring my own music so no one talks to me

[00:12:28] And if I want to talk to someone

[00:12:30] Then I won't have my AirPods in

[00:12:32] But you just kind of like build

[00:12:34] That shield

[00:12:36] You know, don't talk to me

[00:12:38] You know, I don't have my space

[00:12:40] That's how I am on airplanes

[00:12:42] I'll have my sunglasses on

[00:12:44] Unless it's night

[00:12:46] I always have the shades on

[00:12:48] Very common home from Vegas

[00:12:50] Usually in NASCAR races where I'm flying home from

[00:12:52] So shades on probably hung over from the day before

[00:12:54] Or whatever

[00:12:56] And it's actually how I met my co-host from

[00:12:58] Mash the Gas podcast

[00:13:00] Coming home from a race in Kansas City

[00:13:02] His girlfriend saw me wearing a Gordon hat

[00:13:04] And was like, oh this guy's a NASCAR fan

[00:13:06] He's got some beers on the flight home

[00:13:08] Now he's my co-host, 12 years later

[00:13:10] Great friend of mine out of Dallas, Texas

[00:13:12] So it's like you never know who you're going to run into

[00:13:14] Whether it's on a light rail train

[00:13:16] An Uber shared ride, whatever

[00:13:18] You know sometimes it is good to look up

[00:13:20] And strike a conversation up with some random folks

[00:13:22] But there are other times where I don't want to

[00:13:24] I want to listen to them

[00:13:26] There's a lot of weirdos out there

[00:13:28] And I would include myself in that

[00:13:30] I consider myself a weirdo

[00:13:32] In a lot of ways

[00:13:34] People can tell what your intentions are

[00:13:36] And there's a lot of people out there

[00:13:38] That really don't have the greatest intentions for others

[00:13:40] And so like

[00:13:42] Having your earbuds in

[00:13:44] And not listening, being aware at night time

[00:13:46] Smart move, you're like having this

[00:13:48] Of like

[00:13:50] I'm too busy to pay attention

[00:13:52] But really I'm paying attention

[00:13:54] And getting my own back

[00:13:56] You can't trust any of this

[00:13:58] So but then there's some really great

[00:14:00] People out there really doing their best

[00:14:02] To help the world

[00:14:04] And so it's like how do you

[00:14:06] It's a balance

[00:14:08] It's your attitude, it's how you feel that day

[00:14:10] Because I don't want to be a jerk to someone

[00:14:12] Like there's like

[00:14:14] You shouldn't have to be a jerk to someone

[00:14:16] You know like if you're not having a good day

[00:14:18] Like keep it bottled in

[00:14:20] Or go home and let it out

[00:14:22] Or whoever needs to hear the story

[00:14:24] Let it out to them but just don't put it out on a stranger

[00:14:26] So if I'm not in the mood

[00:14:28] Then I'm just going to try and make myself

[00:14:30] Good, you can understand not to talk to me

[00:14:32] And we're good

[00:14:34] You know

[00:14:36] You know when you want to talk to people

[00:14:38] But I do love airports man

[00:14:40] There's nothing better than traveling

[00:14:42] People watching, like airport people watching

[00:14:44] Like I have to have a drink or two before I fly

[00:14:48] Not because I'm scared of flying

[00:14:50] But it just helps ease it a little bit

[00:14:52] It's part of the process

[00:14:54] I'm going to Phoenix next week

[00:14:56] I'm so pumped for it

[00:14:58] I'm staying at home so I'm not working

[00:15:00] You're going to go to that pizza place that you were trying to get me to go to?

[00:15:02] Oh yeah, Pizza Ribionco is life guys

[00:15:04] Like we were saying earlier

[00:15:06] Pizza is life for me

[00:15:08] I love pizza

[00:15:10] Oh so I didn't realize

[00:15:12] Because before we started recording

[00:15:14] You were talking about how you gave up pizza for a whole year

[00:15:16] So I didn't realize pizza was life

[00:15:18] What was your first slice after that year

[00:15:20] What was your first slice

[00:15:22] What was the toppings

[00:15:24] For me

[00:15:26] I'm probably going to get real judged

[00:15:28] But I love this is my go-to pizza

[00:15:30] It's got to be pineapple

[00:15:32] Oh gosh

[00:15:34] It's got to be pepperoni

[00:15:36] And it's got to be jalapenos

[00:15:38] But only fresh jalapenos

[00:15:40] That does sound pretty good

[00:15:42] Like actual fresh jalapenos

[00:15:44] Because I like sweet salty and spicy stuff

[00:15:46] Like let's blend that all in together

[00:15:48] And I don't want a bunch of marinara sauce

[00:15:50] So if I have the options

[00:15:52] I want light marinara

[00:15:54] And crust crispy

[00:15:56] And like New York style

[00:15:58] I do like Detroit

[00:16:00] I just don't like Chicago pizza

[00:16:02] Too thick, the deep dish

[00:16:04] Yeah

[00:16:06] And it's a lot of sauce too

[00:16:08] A lot of marinara turns me off

[00:16:10] It takes away from the other flavors

[00:16:12] If I really wanted that

[00:16:14] I'll just eat lasagna or pasta

[00:16:16] If I wanted something like that much sauce

[00:16:18] Nothing against Chicago style

[00:16:20] Because I do like Chicago style pizza

[00:16:22] I like all pizza

[00:16:24] Man, I know it again

[00:16:26] But just New York pizza

[00:16:28] Just gets me going

[00:16:30] And New York pizza and Bianco is just

[00:16:32] absurd pizza

[00:16:34] Man, I wish I would have gone there

[00:16:36] Because it's by the Sky Harbor airport

[00:16:38] There's one in Scottsdale

[00:16:40] And there's one right downtown

[00:16:42] Phoenix next to the college

[00:16:44] I don't know the streets by heart

[00:16:46] But it's right by the chase field

[00:16:48] And all that

[00:16:50] It's just so amazing

[00:16:52] It's breathtaking

[00:16:54] I don't even know if that's even allowed

[00:16:56] To be said before pizza

[00:16:58] Breathtaking pizza

[00:17:00] If you don't get there early

[00:17:02] You have to wait two hours

[00:17:04] It's a huge staple

[00:17:06] So all our Phoenix listeners are like

[00:17:08] They know

[00:17:10] And they probably have other pizza places

[00:17:12] For me to go to

[00:17:14] And I'll listen and I'll go

[00:17:16] But Bianco is so good

[00:17:18] I go to Phoenix all the time

[00:17:20] And I never knew about this pizza place

[00:17:22] Until I saw this Netflix series

[00:17:24] About the best

[00:17:26] Pizza chefs in the world

[00:17:28] And it's probably like seven or eight episodes

[00:17:30] Of each episode based on

[00:17:32] Each pizza chef

[00:17:34] And the very first episode was about Bianco

[00:17:36] And that he was in Phoenix

[00:17:38] And I was like, wait what?

[00:17:40] Like my hotel has always been two blocks away

[00:17:42] From this place

[00:17:44] And you had no idea

[00:17:46] Man, it was like this dog

[00:17:48] It was like love at first sight

[00:17:50] And Netflix makes it

[00:17:52] Help sell the pizza

[00:17:54] Because I've taken someone there that's never seen the episode

[00:17:56] And they're kind of like, it's okay pizza

[00:17:58] And I'm just like, oh

[00:18:00] Get out of my face right now

[00:18:02] You probably like Little Caesar's pizza

[00:18:04] You know, like

[00:18:06] I'll let it slide

[00:18:08] You're like saying that is a diss

[00:18:10] No, I love Little Caesar's pizza

[00:18:12] I know

[00:18:14] Little Caesar's back in the day though

[00:18:16] Like art

[00:18:18] And they're stuff crust crazy bread

[00:18:20] Back in like the 90s

[00:18:22] And early 2000s

[00:18:24] That was where it was at

[00:18:26] Little Caesar's in the 90s

[00:18:28] Was way better than most pizza places

[00:18:30] And then they went broke

[00:18:32] And bankrupt

[00:18:34] And they kind of disappeared for a little bit

[00:18:36] And then they got this new comeback

[00:18:38] Pizza pizza

[00:18:40] I do love their deep dish pizza

[00:18:42] No, you say Chicago

[00:18:44] But Chicago is like the deep dish

[00:18:46] Yeah, Chicago versus Detroit

[00:18:48] Like Detroit is kind of like that

[00:18:50] Pan crust, you know

[00:18:52] There's like no crust, it's just like this like burnt cheese

[00:18:54] Like kind of layer, like that corner of the lasagna

[00:18:56] That you really like

[00:18:58] And then it's just like cheese

[00:19:00] And they kind of actually believe in like sauce

[00:19:02] What's like Jets pizza? Is that the Jets?

[00:19:04] That's the Detroit stuff

[00:19:06] I don't really like Jets

[00:19:08] I think maybe that's what it is

[00:19:10] It's like oh I don't know if it's too much cheese

[00:19:12] I'm kind of like over it

[00:19:14] Yeah, I think it's too cheese heavy

[00:19:16] Yeah, too greasy and I'm going to go ahead and slander

[00:19:18] One establishment here

[00:19:20] Let's go, pod beef

[00:19:22] I will because dude

[00:19:24] Stepping in, if you live in Parker

[00:19:26] And you have been to the gym

[00:19:28] But to drink and not work out

[00:19:30] There's an establishment called the gym

[00:19:32] You ever heard of it?

[00:19:34] It's a younger bar

[00:19:36] It's a cool spot, like they got a cool setup

[00:19:38] But the kitchen reeks out the place

[00:19:40] And then reeks out your clothes

[00:19:42] So anytime I used to go there

[00:19:44] I would literally, when I get home

[00:19:46] I would take those clothes off

[00:19:48] Put them in the wash

[00:19:50] And then I would immediately take a shower

[00:19:52] Or else I would be smelling this greasy ass

[00:19:54] Like in my nose

[00:19:56] It was so greasy that it would attach to my nose hairs

[00:19:58] And I would be smelling the grease

[00:20:00] For like 14 hours

[00:20:02] If I didn't properly

[00:20:04] Did you try their pizza?

[00:20:06] It was probably good

[00:20:08] After we got down to the slammer

[00:20:10] They have our stickers all over that establishment

[00:20:12] So thanks for promoting us as we're now not promoting you

[00:20:14] But the pizza is good

[00:20:16] The food is good and that's why it's so greasy

[00:20:18] It's just a plus and minus

[00:20:20] It's like going to pho

[00:20:22] If you go eat out of pho establishment

[00:20:24] I can smell it in my pores

[00:20:26] In my clothes, I gotta change clothes when I get home

[00:20:28] It's a lot of aroma

[00:20:30] I enjoy the food but I don't want to enjoy the smell all day

[00:20:32] It's like cooking bacon in your house

[00:20:34] I'm gonna have to wash for like 7 hours later

[00:20:36] And I'm already over

[00:20:38] All the bacon I just crushed

[00:20:40] It does reek out the house

[00:20:42] I love bacon

[00:20:44] Are you pan fryers or are you an oven bacon?

[00:20:46] Oven baked

[00:20:48] 400 degrees

[00:20:50] 18 minutes crispy bacon

[00:20:52] We got two oven baked baconers in the house

[00:20:54] Honestly it's almost some of the easiest clean up too

[00:20:56] Because if you put it on the racks

[00:20:58] And the foil on the bottom

[00:21:00] You're not trying to do it

[00:21:02] With chopsticks

[00:21:04] Or something

[00:21:06] Or just pouring the grease

[00:21:08] You're all using the top

[00:21:10] You're all using the top like a shield and shit

[00:21:12] You have splatter everywhere

[00:21:14] That's a major mess so that's gonna clean it up

[00:21:16] There's no even such thing as a coffee can anymore

[00:21:18] That's a good point

[00:21:20] Plastic

[00:21:22] Duncan is plastic

[00:21:24] Even while the booze is going plastic

[00:21:26] You know about that

[00:21:28] Well that was more of a glass issue

[00:21:30] Or the people throwing it on the fields

[00:21:32] Ruining games

[00:21:34] And now like

[00:21:36] It makes me mad like they take away your cap

[00:21:38] For your bottle of water if you're at

[00:21:40] Myle high or something

[00:21:42] Like come on guys give me my cap back

[00:21:44] You're buying a bottle of water so then you could have a sip

[00:21:46] Put it back in your pocket

[00:21:48] You know you have the bottle so then you don't have to

[00:21:50] Just sit there and hold it in your hand the whole time

[00:21:52] Yeah you need the lid

[00:21:54] They completely take away the usefulness of that

[00:21:56] They do the same with the 16 ounce Bud lights

[00:21:58] You know that the screw top

[00:22:00] Which I'm okay with that

[00:22:02] So you can't launch it and hit people with it on the field

[00:22:04] Cause they had

[00:22:06] There was like that era in sports where people were just like

[00:22:08] Hey I'm gonna be an ass and throw

[00:22:10] Things on fields

[00:22:12] Full water bottles

[00:22:14] It can gain some momentum with that cap on

[00:22:16] That's a good point

[00:22:18] Full water bottle getting hooked at you like

[00:22:20] That's gonna hurt

[00:22:22] Absolutely

[00:22:24] I agree with that move for that

[00:22:26] Gordon broke Dale Earnhardt's record for wins

[00:22:28] 77 wins in Talladega, Alabama

[00:22:30] The amount of beer cans

[00:22:32] And toilet paper that was thrown onto his race car

[00:22:34] From the track from the stands

[00:22:36] Is we've never seen anything like it in NASCAR since

[00:22:38] That would have been great to see

[00:22:40] And you know I'm not my love F1

[00:22:42] I'll watch

[00:22:44] NASCAR sometimes

[00:22:46] And I mean like sometimes as like rarely

[00:22:48] I'm sure I can get into it

[00:22:50] And I've never discluded it either

[00:22:52] I just never really got excited

[00:22:54] About NASCAR like I do like F1

[00:22:56] Sure

[00:22:58] But man just like any accomplishments and things like that

[00:23:00] Where the kishy is broken

[00:23:02] It's great to see the celebrations

[00:23:04] Unless if it's on us

[00:23:06] Like Game 4 when I was at the World Series

[00:23:08] And the Red Sox took it

[00:23:10] That was heartbreaking

[00:23:12] I don't know if I've ever gotten over it

[00:23:14] You're still talking about it

[00:23:16] And the management still sucks

[00:23:18] Yeah

[00:23:20] It sticks with you as a sports fan

[00:23:22] I mean I'm still upset about the 2007 Super Bowl

[00:23:24] With the New England Patriots and the New York Giants

[00:23:26] And the 2012 Super Bowl

[00:23:28] Well I mean come on you guys almost had

[00:23:30] We were 18-0 you should have got that perfect season

[00:23:32] 18-0 that sucks

[00:23:34] See look I'm a Broncos fan

[00:23:36] But I still wanted to see that

[00:23:38] But when else in my lifetime would I have ever had an opportunity

[00:23:40] To see a perfect season like that

[00:23:42] Yup and wasn't that the Randy Moss team

[00:23:44] That was the Randy Moss

[00:23:46] Randy Moss never got a ring right

[00:23:48] No I don't know

[00:23:50] He was so good

[00:23:52] He deserved that ring and to get robbed

[00:23:54] I was upset that champ Bailey never

[00:23:56] Got a ring

[00:23:58] When he was with Denver

[00:24:00] Champs still one of the best corners that ever played the game

[00:24:02] Ever

[00:24:04] After that era I kinda stopped paying attention to sports after that era

[00:24:06] I kinda like was like I've had it

[00:24:08] It's been for me

[00:24:10] With New England going through this rebuild now

[00:24:12] With Belichick being gone and now Jarad Meo is our new head coach

[00:24:14] This is gonna be a huge rebuild period for the team

[00:24:16] So this will be the first time

[00:24:18] I went to the Patriots around 2000

[00:24:20] When Belichick came in and became a football fan

[00:24:22] I was about 11-12 years old at the time

[00:24:24] So I started to understand the sport

[00:24:26] And then Jeff Gordon retired and I was like

[00:24:28] Man my love for NASCAR changed a little bit

[00:24:30] Now I didn't have that guy

[00:24:32] So now I get to look at it more from an analyst perspective

[00:24:34] And just look at all the drivers on the track

[00:24:36] I don't root for one specific driver

[00:24:38] That's fun though

[00:24:40] With sports like even country

[00:24:42] I didn't really listen to too much country until I met Kev

[00:24:44] I didn't really pay that much attention to NASCAR

[00:24:46] I don't know what you guys have

[00:24:48] But I'm not calling you out in those specifically

[00:24:50] Because it could be anything

[00:24:52] Like whoever you respect and spend time around

[00:24:54] They get you into things and open up your mind to new things

[00:24:56] And I try

[00:24:58] Look I haven't done a weekly challenge in a minute

[00:25:00] I challenge everybody that's tuning in

[00:25:02] And checking out this episode

[00:25:04] To

[00:25:06] Wait what was it gonna be the challenge

[00:25:08] I got distracted by that epic crack

[00:25:10] Well I was trying to do that

[00:25:12] You know the weekly crack

[00:25:14] For the weekly challenge

[00:25:16] Weekly cracks and I don't know

[00:25:18] It was gonna be a challenge of

[00:25:20] Probably trying something new

[00:25:22] It felt like adapting to someone else's

[00:25:24] Beliefs or lows

[00:25:26] Yes thank you Joey

[00:25:28] This week's challenge is

[00:25:30] To break yourself out of your own

[00:25:32] Mental comfort zone and try to learn

[00:25:34] Something thank you Joey

[00:25:36] I got you guys active listening sometimes

[00:25:38] You know I got so distracted by the crack

[00:25:40] I felt that crack too

[00:25:42] Kev what do you got

[00:25:44] What do you got

[00:25:46] We're gonna do something fun here man

[00:25:48] I don't know if you guys have heard of smelling

[00:25:50] Salt or whatever I mean these things have been around forever

[00:25:52] It dates back to the old times

[00:25:54] When people needed a little bit of a lift

[00:25:56] It's basically ammonia gas is what you're inhaling

[00:25:58] Doesn't sound

[00:26:00] Very appetizing

[00:26:02] But it does amazing things to the body

[00:26:04] Weight lifters do it

[00:26:06] Athletes will do it you see

[00:26:08] Quarterbacks on the sideline will be sniffing it

[00:26:10] Faster concussions

[00:26:12] Things like it's been used when people faint

[00:26:14] In medical conditions it will bring them back

[00:26:16] So my good friend John out there

[00:26:18] Owns this company called

[00:26:20] Yep they're like a nutritional

[00:26:22] Company they do a lot of different things

[00:26:24] He's a four time bodybuilding champion

[00:26:26] He's a fighter solid lad

[00:26:28] And so I purchased his product these smelling salts

[00:26:30] For those that follow us on social media

[00:26:32] Probably saw me doing it in my apartment

[00:26:34] Last week we're gonna do a live action on the air

[00:26:36] And let's give it a go

[00:26:38] So the idea is

[00:26:40] You really just want to take a hit and get that

[00:26:44] It just kind of wakes you up

[00:26:46] You can go in that slow it

[00:26:48] Yeah

[00:26:50] I could smell it from over here

[00:26:52] Yeah

[00:26:54] I'll let you go next

[00:26:56] You wanna give it a good shake

[00:26:58] I'll just kinda sample it

[00:27:00] You know a little bit

[00:27:02] If you go in heavy it might make you cry

[00:27:04] Don't go in too heavy

[00:27:06] It might make you cry if you're going too heavy

[00:27:08] Yeah

[00:27:10] Man

[00:27:12] You know like 2 can of samsa says follow your nose

[00:27:14] That'll wake you up

[00:27:16] Man that made my eyes water

[00:27:18] It jolts your respiratory system

[00:27:20] You know what's crazy too is they only got through

[00:27:22] My right nostril

[00:27:24] Like it really just cleared everything up there

[00:27:26] So plug that one now

[00:27:28] And then get the yeah

[00:27:30] There you go

[00:27:32] Oh man

[00:27:34] That's legit

[00:27:36] Yeah that's legit

[00:27:38] I mean that's that rush

[00:27:40] Alright I'm gonna get a little

[00:27:42] That's beautiful

[00:27:44] I need that for like breakfast guys

[00:27:46] I don't wake up ever hungry

[00:27:48] That will make me happy

[00:27:50] And just be like man who needs breakfast

[00:27:52] I like doing the slow pull on these

[00:27:54] Yeah

[00:27:56] Going joey dea style over here

[00:27:58] Slow pull, dronimo you don't want any part of that

[00:28:00] Yeah dronimo don't get near this one

[00:28:02] No I don't think it's safe for dogs

[00:28:04] No yeah let's keep it this way from the puppers

[00:28:06] But I mean now you understand what athletes do

[00:28:08] It kind of just jolts your respiratory system

[00:28:10] It's supposed to increase alertness

[00:28:12] So

[00:28:14] Free plug for yet over here

[00:28:16] Definitely check this out if you want to get into the smelling salts

[00:28:18] It's fantastic

[00:28:20] Wake up with yep

[00:28:22] It's a great product

[00:28:24] Wake the f up and discussion

[00:28:26] Combustion endorsed on this beautiful episode

[00:28:28] With our man joey over here

[00:28:30] I literally got a tear from that

[00:28:32] It got me a little bit

[00:28:34] It'll do that

[00:28:36] That's amazing

[00:28:38] I just conquered a water fast

[00:28:40] And for 72 hours

[00:28:42] Ooh I've never

[00:28:44] A water fast

[00:28:46] Yeah you just 72 hours of water fasting

[00:28:48] I actually did broth too at noon

[00:28:50] At 6pm

[00:28:52] And then I also read

[00:28:54] That you can have like salt packs

[00:28:56] So I was just cranking

[00:28:58] The salt stuff that I drink after runs

[00:29:00] For breakfast just so it kind of

[00:29:02] Like the electrolytes get the brains going

[00:29:04] And maybe I might just use this next time

[00:29:06] When I'm waking up

[00:29:08] You know like as much as I love salt

[00:29:10] I'll just have this real quick and then I'm good to go

[00:29:12] Like skip breakfast

[00:29:14] Gets you going

[00:29:16] But water fasting is tough

[00:29:18] So 72 hours

[00:29:20] No food, just water

[00:29:22] Yeah just water

[00:29:24] Because I've heard it takes 3 days from

[00:29:26] The last thing that you eat to like fully go through your digestive system

[00:29:28] So like sometimes it's just like

[00:29:30] A cleanse through the intestines and everything

[00:29:32] And clear it out

[00:29:34] You do lose a bunch of weight

[00:29:36] I lost probably like 8-9 pounds

[00:29:38] In the whole fast

[00:29:40] But it's just like a mental thing

[00:29:42] Now did you uh

[00:29:44] Did you maintain that weight loss

[00:29:46] Or did you bounce back after the fast

[00:29:48] I bounced back only because

[00:29:50] My buddy came back in town

[00:29:52] That I hadn't seen in a while

[00:29:54] And he wanted to go tour around

[00:29:56] And eat some food

[00:29:58] So it kind of ruined it

[00:30:00] I'll do it again

[00:30:02] But it's just like a good mental

[00:30:04] And like type of like will

[00:30:06] That you have you know

[00:30:08] It's easy to fast while you're working

[00:30:10] Because most of the time you're just taken away

[00:30:12] And you're always go go go go

[00:30:14] But when you get home is when it's like the hardest

[00:30:16] Yeah especially in nighttime

[00:30:18] Like before you go to sleep and your stomach's like

[00:30:20] Grrr

[00:30:22] But I haven't even done like a 24 hour fast recently

[00:30:24] Because I'll do intermittent fasting

[00:30:26] Where it's like maybe 16-17 hours

[00:30:28] And that gets rough

[00:30:30] But not no 72 hour

[00:30:32] 3 days

[00:30:34] And try to fit in a run

[00:30:36] Like I wouldn't go hardcore

[00:30:38] I would just like kind of jog it

[00:30:40] Maybe cut it down a little bit

[00:30:42] Just because I still felt like I needed

[00:30:44] A still run

[00:30:46] But it was tough man

[00:30:48] It's tough will

[00:30:50] It's like quitting pizza for a year

[00:30:52] It's not my resolution to just quit pizza

[00:30:54] There's kind of like more things to it

[00:30:56] You know like if I quit eating pizza

[00:30:58] I'll probably lose some weight

[00:31:00] I probably won't eat it at 1am

[00:31:02] Or like your blood pressure will be better

[00:31:04] My stomach will probably feel better

[00:31:06] Like how dialed in do you get

[00:31:08] Oh man every year

[00:31:10] I quit something that I love

[00:31:12] Like I quit coffee one year

[00:31:14] Actually it was last year I quit coffee

[00:31:16] And that was

[00:31:18] The natural energy that you get

[00:31:20] Is so much better than like

[00:31:22] The caffeine that people

[00:31:24] Strive to have

[00:31:26] How long did that take

[00:31:28] Do you have the natural energy coming into

[00:31:30] Than you feel like? Well the problem is I'm a pretty heavy

[00:31:32] Drinker so and of course I'm going to be changing

[00:31:34] That this year in June so I drink a lot

[00:31:36] So I kind of wake up

[00:31:38] Most people would call it hungover but you know

[00:31:40] When you drink beer like I do every night

[00:31:42] You're not going to get the best wake up

[00:31:44] But I feel like once I have woken up

[00:31:46] Drank my water got going for the day

[00:31:48] And I don't want to get my coffee hit anymore

[00:31:50] When I was in the grocery biz you know back when

[00:31:52] You and I first met and you were serving me my coffee

[00:31:54] Joey was a Starbucks breeze

[00:31:56] I was slamming cups

[00:31:58] Of that shit to get going that early in the morning

[00:32:00] We'd start at 5-6 in the morning

[00:32:02] That's super early

[00:32:04] And then I worked the club right before that too

[00:32:06] Like my early 20s man I was a row bot

[00:32:08] I didn't like 2 hours of sleep

[00:32:10] I was good to go I was working the night club

[00:32:12] I'd get home I'd have like an hour to change

[00:32:14] Before I have to go open Starbucks

[00:32:16] It would be noon when my shift is over

[00:32:18] And then I'd either go to school

[00:32:20] Or I had like another day job that I had to do

[00:32:22] So like

[00:32:24] I missed the 20s energy

[00:32:26] Just row bot and you could just drink

[00:32:28] And go back to work the next day

[00:32:30] And just be a machine

[00:32:32] And now man like when I get that hangover

[00:32:34] I'm dead for like 2 days

[00:32:36] Which is why I started to like

[00:32:38] Not drink anymore

[00:32:40] Like I'll have a drink here and there

[00:32:42] For like a good occasion

[00:32:44] There's no way I could go to that sober

[00:32:46] Last year was like

[00:32:48] A blessing in disguise

[00:32:50] I can't even describe how crazy

[00:32:52] That golf tournament is

[00:32:54] It was like a college frat party

[00:32:56] For 3-4 days however long

[00:32:58] The tournament goes I didn't even make it to Sunday

[00:33:00] Or the Super Bowl

[00:33:02] Cause the Super Bowl was in Phoenix last year too

[00:33:04] I even had a ticket to go to the Super Bowl

[00:33:06] And swapped out a Super Bowl ticket

[00:33:08] So I could go home early

[00:33:10] And just like be at home

[00:33:12] And then I went to Colorado for the Super Bowl

[00:33:14] I was done

[00:33:16] You didn't want to be at the Super Bowl huh?

[00:33:18] I was so exhausted

[00:33:20] I was so exhausted

[00:33:22] Waste management tore me up

[00:33:24] Is that TPC Scottsdale?

[00:33:26] Yeah the Phoenix opened up

[00:33:28] And then the Super Bowl was out there

[00:33:30] So like concerts were everywhere

[00:33:32] I don't even remember some of the night time stuff

[00:33:34] I did because you're just day drinking

[00:33:36] And then it just gets into like

[00:33:38] Or these blends together

[00:33:40] And it sucked and someone's like

[00:33:42] Oh man you remember going to this concert?

[00:33:44] I was like nope

[00:33:46] Yeah

[00:33:48] I have stuff like that too from when I was going hard

[00:33:50] On all this different stuff

[00:33:52] Like I was having a good time

[00:33:54] I don't regret it

[00:33:56] I'm not gonna sit here and regret my time

[00:33:58] But it did mess with my memory

[00:34:00] I don't remember everything

[00:34:02] Sometimes Kev you'll remind me of a story

[00:34:04] And then I'm like oh yeah

[00:34:06] It takes a reminder like that

[00:34:08] I haven't been drinking booze that much anymore

[00:34:10] And your dog's just posting up here

[00:34:12] He's so cool

[00:34:14] He's Ronimo so tight man

[00:34:16] I think he likes you

[00:34:18] Yeah he can tell

[00:34:20] Dogs can tell like we were talking about

[00:34:22] And I do love dogs so they can tell that I love them

[00:34:24] They can tell I love them

[00:34:26] Yeah if someone's dogs don't like me

[00:34:28] I feel off about myself

[00:34:30] I'm like wait what's wrong with me

[00:34:32] You feel offended

[00:34:34] I feel like I'm a great human

[00:34:36] I mean like something's up and I need to know

[00:34:38] I felt like such a champ

[00:34:40] Cause I went over to this house recently

[00:34:42] And they had like a foster dog that they had taken

[00:34:44] And it's this big white dog that's really skittish

[00:34:46] And you know I've worked with dogs

[00:34:48] I've been around skittish dogs and stuff before

[00:34:50] And the dog didn't really bark

[00:34:52] And like after the night

[00:34:54] They were like I heard

[00:34:56] They were like wow the dog didn't bark at all

[00:34:58] The dog wasn't really barking

[00:35:00] Apparently it barks at like everybody all the time

[00:35:02] So it was like one of those things

[00:35:04] Where you feel like you got like a gold star

[00:35:06] You know one of those things where you're like

[00:35:08] I got the approval

[00:35:10] Yeah I got the dog approval

[00:35:12] That means more than a lot of other things

[00:35:14] Like even people on dates will be like

[00:35:16] Well I'll wait until my animal meets you

[00:35:18] And then we'll see

[00:35:20] We'll see

[00:35:22] I'm gonna take home to meet my dog

[00:35:24] That will really see

[00:35:26] If I'm on a date with a chicken

[00:35:28] She tells me she doesn't like dogs

[00:35:30] It's already game over first of all too

[00:35:32] So yeah

[00:35:34] It's okay to be scared of dogs but if you just don't like dogs

[00:35:36] Yeah

[00:35:38] Dogs are so much better than humans

[00:35:40] Like

[00:35:42] I don't know dogs are great

[00:35:44] It's crazy that

[00:35:46] People abuse dogs

[00:35:48] Animal abuse

[00:35:50] It blows me

[00:35:52] It just like blows my mind

[00:35:54] Man I cannot believe people are so

[00:35:56] Heartless and can like

[00:35:58] How low are they

[00:36:00] They actually do that to an animal

[00:36:02] Like they are low

[00:36:04] It happens every day

[00:36:06] Horses, cats, dogs you name it

[00:36:08] These people are thrown around malnourished

[00:36:10] You name it

[00:36:12] And it's like the same thing when I see people not pick up

[00:36:14] After their dogs too

[00:36:16] What's the house look like

[00:36:18] What's the housing situation look like

[00:36:20] If you can't even take the energy to pick up after your dog

[00:36:22] What are you not picking up

[00:36:24] At home too

[00:36:26] How deep does the lazy bone run

[00:36:28] The lazy bone runs deep

[00:36:30] The lazy bone runs down deep is the marrow

[00:36:32] Yeah

[00:36:34] Working downtown and taking the public transportation

[00:36:36] Then you also walk

[00:36:38] And see like the homeless

[00:36:40] And everything too

[00:36:42] And you know probably

[00:36:44] Maybe something bad happened where they're in that situation

[00:36:46] But then also there's

[00:36:48] A million other situations out there

[00:36:50] They could probably pick themselves up

[00:36:52] And not be in that situation

[00:36:54] But they still decided to just like sleep under a bridge

[00:36:56] And pollute everywhere

[00:36:58] Like when I sit on the train every day

[00:37:00] It's just so sad how much trash

[00:37:02] I see along like

[00:37:04] The light rail

[00:37:06] It's crazy

[00:37:08] And like how do you combat that

[00:37:10] Like it's

[00:37:12] You can't like give them a ticket for littering

[00:37:14] Because they won't go to court

[00:37:16] How do you motivate these people

[00:37:18] Because they'll take things out of trash

[00:37:20] But they won't go put it back in the trash

[00:37:22] When they're done with it

[00:37:24] And Brent Tobler, he's a comedian here in Denver

[00:37:26] He was on our show and he had talked about some of his

[00:37:28] Fustracies with that and like the homeless

[00:37:30] Because he lives downtown and they were tearing his fence down

[00:37:32] And just kind of littering around his house

[00:37:34] And he's like this is bullshit

[00:37:36] At some point you got to get it together

[00:37:38] I understand people have hard times

[00:37:40] We talked about with Tammy

[00:37:42] With the homeless there's a lot of it around where the studio is

[00:37:44] It's kind of unavoidable

[00:37:46] But there's still something about

[00:37:48] Even if you're in a horrible situation

[00:37:50] Doesn't mean you have to be a horrible person about it

[00:37:52] But if you're in a grocery biz

[00:37:54] I mean I would see a lot of it in the parking lots

[00:37:56] People begging, people getting upset

[00:37:58] People trying to use and abuse any situation they could

[00:38:00] But you're right, what do you do about it?

[00:38:02] How do you enforce it?

[00:38:04] Can't give them a ticket

[00:38:06] They probably have money for it

[00:38:08] Because you always hear the stories

[00:38:10] Like when they find like a homeless person

[00:38:12] They're like richer than most like average Americans

[00:38:14] Because they just hoard all that money

[00:38:16] And don't know where to save it

[00:38:18] They can't put it in a bank

[00:38:20] But other than that you still can't find them

[00:38:22] Because if they don't have money

[00:38:24] They're not going to go to court and show up and pay a fine

[00:38:26] You know, like it's

[00:38:28] It's weird, I don't know how you

[00:38:30] How you solve that issue

[00:38:32] It would be great if we'd figure it out

[00:38:34] But it's just sad to see just how polluted things are

[00:38:36] Since COVID, like it's okay

[00:38:38] To be homeless now

[00:38:40] Like it's okay to not want to care

[00:38:42] It's bad here in Denver for sure

[00:38:44] And then the migrants are starting to pour in

[00:38:46] New York, Chicago, Denver

[00:38:48] There's a border crisis, all that needs to be addressed

[00:38:50] Yeah, it's crazy

[00:38:52] Like every day I recorded it

[00:38:54] One day on my phone just like how polluted it is

[00:38:56] Like I'd go pick it up

[00:38:58] But then I just feel like

[00:39:00] The next day it's just gonna be polluted

[00:39:02] It's like the war on drugs

[00:39:04] You can try and stop like the biggest

[00:39:06] Drug dealer ever but guess what

[00:39:08] Right around the corner there's gonna be some other

[00:39:10] Dude that's ruthless ready to just

[00:39:12] Hustle and kill the streets

[00:39:14] The black market's not going anywhere

[00:39:16] You can make any attempt to get rid of guns

[00:39:18] But the next guy's gonna line up to sell them to you

[00:39:20] Yeah, it's a crazy world we live in

[00:39:22] And it's like we passed the legislation

[00:39:24] To legalize marijuana

[00:39:26] Cool, great, and it's supposed to go to education

[00:39:28] But you still hear teachers striking

[00:39:30] Because they're not getting paid

[00:39:32] Where is this money going?

[00:39:34] We're talking billions in tax revenue

[00:39:36] Yeah, billions of dollars

[00:39:38] And I get there's a lot of schools

[00:39:40] To try and spread that out with

[00:39:42] But it just seems like that

[00:39:44] Like an empty promise just to make everybody

[00:39:46] Think it was a good thing to do

[00:39:48] And I'm all good with legalization

[00:39:50] And people smoking weed and edibles

[00:39:52] And all that because I'll do it every now and then too

[00:39:54] I used to really smoke weed all day

[00:39:57] That was my thing, I'd go run lit

[00:40:00] My anxiety sometimes

[00:40:02] I would need to smoke before

[00:40:04] I'd go run a race just because I'd throw up

[00:40:06] And get all anxious

[00:40:08] And I was really trying to compete

[00:40:10] Help out

[00:40:12] Sometimes I was smoking and I'm just like

[00:40:14] I need to go to bed

[00:40:16] Or I need to not be in public

[00:40:18] And take myself and exit away

[00:40:20] It's crazy sometimes

[00:40:22] I can't believe how weak I am now

[00:40:24] On my intake

[00:40:26] But I still love it because

[00:40:28] It would be a miracle

[00:40:30] If I'm up past 10 o'clock

[00:40:32] If I'm at a sporting event

[00:40:34] I'm good or somewhere

[00:40:36] Out and about

[00:40:38] I can probably last at 10 o'clock

[00:40:40] And I'm trying to watch a UFC fight

[00:40:42] Oh man

[00:40:44] I'm toast

[00:40:46] What time do you get up then?

[00:40:48] 4, 5 am

[00:40:50] And that sucks

[00:40:52] I do like waking up early

[00:40:54] But I don't like also going to sleep so early

[00:40:56] I do like this rest now

[00:40:58] Because as I'm older

[00:41:00] I do realize the more hours I sleep the better

[00:41:02] But going to sleep at 8 o'clock

[00:41:04] It's a struggle

[00:41:06] When the Nuggets play at 8 o'clock

[00:41:08] I usually never see the ending

[00:41:10] You better take my ass to the game

[00:41:12] So I can see it

[00:41:14] Live action or not happening?

[00:41:16] Yeah, pretty much

[00:41:18] I'm snoozing and I'll catch the replay

[00:41:20] At 1 am when it's replaying on my TV

[00:41:22] And I'm like, ah

[00:41:24] So what is it about the 4 am

[00:41:26] Wake up before the sun that keeps you coming back

[00:41:28] Like there's something about it

[00:41:30] That keeps you coming back

[00:41:32] You just can't turn it off

[00:41:34] You know what

[00:41:36] I've never set an alarm is if I'm in Vegas

[00:41:38] Because I'm probably partying hard

[00:41:40] And I need to catch a flight at 6 am

[00:41:42] And I'll get back to my room and tell about like 3 am

[00:41:44] I better set an alarm because

[00:41:46] That sleep cycle's going to be right in the middle of it

[00:41:48] I'm going to miss my flight, yeah

[00:41:50] So you wake up naturally

[00:41:52] I never have an alarm

[00:41:54] Like I never set alarms

[00:41:56] So what are you doing that early

[00:41:58] You're not drinking coffee

[00:42:00] Either I just like lay down

[00:42:02] And appreciate that my dog

[00:42:04] Is still like breathing and just like

[00:42:06] Fuck around with him before I have to go to work

[00:42:08] Be present, yeah

[00:42:10] Either I think about work too

[00:42:12] So that just starts your mind going

[00:42:14] And you can't turn it off

[00:42:16] Or I would just smoke

[00:42:18] And just hope that I can go back to sleep

[00:42:20] For like another hour or so

[00:42:22] Like once I'm up

[00:42:24] My brain's going already

[00:42:26] It's just good to go

[00:42:28] But that's why I work early

[00:42:30] And then I get off like 3 o'clock

[00:42:32] So when I get home, I can go run

[00:42:34] And then eat and then I'm pretty much

[00:42:36] My day's done

[00:42:38] I'm trying to watch a game

[00:42:40] But it'd be a miracle

[00:42:42] If I make it past 10 o'clock

[00:42:44] UFC fights are such a struggle

[00:42:46] Do you pay for the pay-per-view for those then

[00:42:48] No

[00:42:50] I'm going to get

[00:42:52] Busted by Mr. White himself

[00:42:54] But no, I haven't paid

[00:42:56] For a fight in years

[00:42:58] I have like a streaming service that I love

[00:43:00] And it has everything

[00:43:02] It's so overwhelming

[00:43:04] It's like going to Costco with this thing

[00:43:06] It's like 2,000 channels

[00:43:08] You have HBO

[00:43:10] Cinemax, all those

[00:43:12] You have the NBA channel, the NFL channel

[00:43:14] The MLB

[00:43:16] Pay-per-view

[00:43:18] Then it breaks down into countries too

[00:43:20] Like I could watch

[00:43:22] Brazil's like

[00:43:24] News channels if I wanted to

[00:43:26] You could change your VPN or something like that

[00:43:28] With a VPN anything's possible

[00:43:30] It's beautiful dude

[00:43:32] I pay 21 bucks a month for this service

[00:43:34] And I could watch whatever the hell I want

[00:43:36] It even has options for on-demand

[00:43:38] TV series and movies and stuff

[00:43:40] I don't watch a lot of television

[00:43:42] And if I do it's from like

[00:43:44] 8pm until 5am

[00:43:46] As far as you can make it

[00:43:48] I am that person that needs to listen

[00:43:50] To something, go to sleep

[00:43:52] Because unfortunately my window faces out

[00:43:54] To the street and I can hear everything

[00:43:56] I can hear when like foxes are killing rabbits

[00:43:58] Because they're just

[00:44:00] I live off of the golf course

[00:44:02] There's always just like rabbits everywhere

[00:44:04] They scare the hell out of me when I'm walking

[00:44:06] My dog at midnight

[00:44:08] Just jumps out but you can just hear them

[00:44:10] Getting murdered by coyotes and things

[00:44:12] Like that, you just hear the squealing in the morning

[00:44:14] Oh jeez

[00:44:16] So why don't you sleep with a fan or a white noise?

[00:44:18] Oh yeah I'm a fan sleeper

[00:44:20] I don't

[00:44:22] Or even like a white noise machine

[00:44:24] Something rainwater

[00:44:54] I'm a fan sleeper there's no going back

[00:44:56] And I'll turn mine to the wall when it's like

[00:44:58] Negative 20 degrees out

[00:45:00] Just so I have

[00:45:02] In the sound

[00:45:04] Yeah those Dyson really expensive fans that make no noise

[00:45:06] No thank you

[00:45:08] Cause I almost want that big old cheap

[00:45:10] Box Walmart fan

[00:45:12] That's the one

[00:45:14] Just that one that's like

[00:45:16] Sounds like a plane

[00:45:18] Nobody fucking waking you up with that shit

[00:45:20] No it does, it puts you out

[00:45:22] And I have a fan right above me too

[00:45:24] So tonight when I get home I'm gonna try this fan thing out

[00:45:26] Dude high put it on all the way

[00:45:28] So you can make noise

[00:45:30] Yeah all the way up

[00:45:32] Like the point where it's rocking cause you have it on the high speed

[00:45:34] It's funny like I used to be this

[00:45:36] Person where

[00:45:38] I would be in this like

[00:45:40] Deep trance

[00:45:42] But you could have a conversation with me

[00:45:44] And I would reply back to you

[00:45:46] Like I could have a conversation with you

[00:45:48] And not even remember it

[00:45:50] So you're a sleep talker

[00:45:52] Yeah I used to be

[00:45:54] Not anymore, I'm just like a deep sleeper now

[00:45:56] I can hear things but

[00:45:58] When there's like that certain time frame

[00:46:00] Once I get into that deep sleep zone

[00:46:02] I'm out, like I don't hear anything

[00:46:04] But then once I start to like wake up

[00:46:06] And I can start hearing everything

[00:46:08] And that's when I hear the coyotes

[00:46:10] It's like 4am and it's like alright well

[00:46:12] Still you're med- you're napotating

[00:46:14] Yeah like do I want to watch sports center again

[00:46:16] Cause I probably just watched it

[00:46:18] Last night at 8 o'clock or

[00:46:20] If I made it past that

[00:46:22] Some section you didn't see last night

[00:46:24] Yeah you know there's probably some highlight

[00:46:26] I missed but

[00:46:28] I don't know, sports center is usually what I just go to sleep to

[00:46:30] I like, I love sports

[00:46:32] Like 24 7 sports for me

[00:46:34] I do like movies and shows

[00:46:36] And like some TV

[00:46:38] But usually if I'm watching TV it's just sports

[00:46:40] It's pretty much how I get to

[00:46:42] It's sports

[00:46:44] And then like Yellowstone I was a big fan of that show

[00:46:46] I got into, this is probably still my favorite show of all time

[00:46:48] But like I don't go home and watch the news

[00:46:50] I gave up mainstream media in 2015

[00:46:52] 2016

[00:46:54] During those election periods

[00:46:56] It was probably one of the best seasons I've ever made

[00:46:58] Ever, I hate the news

[00:47:00] I'm just happier

[00:47:02] Yeah it's an old propaganda

[00:47:04] And it's never good news

[00:47:06] Like it's always just bad news

[00:47:08] It's never about heroes in your state

[00:47:10] Or someone doing good

[00:47:12] It's always something bad

[00:47:14] Like we're not going to talk about something good

[00:47:16] It's poison

[00:47:18] They're trying to poison our minds and our thought process

[00:47:20] And actually I'm going to tie this back into the homeless issue that we were talking about

[00:47:22] All this stuff is propagated

[00:47:24] Like

[00:47:26] The pills, the pharmaceuticals

[00:47:28] The over added sugar

[00:47:30] And all the foods that we eat

[00:47:32] The propaganda on the news stations

[00:47:34] The medical society

[00:47:36] That's overpriced and actually doesn't care about you

[00:47:38] Like dude it's all connected

[00:47:40] It's all in cahoots

[00:47:42] I just

[00:47:44] You talk about seeing all the trash out there

[00:47:46] And like you know it's a sketchy planet that we live on

[00:47:50] But then there's also a lot of beauty too

[00:47:52] So it's like we have to walk this path

[00:47:54] Of like

[00:47:56] How much do we want to focus

[00:47:58] Where do we want to focus our energy

[00:48:00] You know

[00:48:02] Because I could go off on conspiracies all day

[00:48:04] On all this stuff

[00:48:06] But then if I get too entrenched

[00:48:08] In thinking about conspiracies

[00:48:10] At what point does it become unhealthy for me

[00:48:12] Because I'm just focused on distrust too much

[00:48:16] So there's like this balance

[00:48:18] But it's still good to be aware

[00:48:20] I don't know what made me open that up

[00:48:22] Like I don't know what brought me there

[00:48:24] I agree

[00:48:26] I don't want to wake up at 4am and watch the news

[00:48:28] Cause it's just kind of pretty

[00:48:30] Oh yeah the news that's what brought me there

[00:48:32] It'll just make like my morale is already up high

[00:48:36] I'm ready to go

[00:48:38] Get back to this like sniff and salt thing

[00:48:40] You know

[00:48:42] But then you just turn on the news

[00:48:44] And it's like oh someone died

[00:48:46] Or something got bombed

[00:48:48] Or this or that

[00:48:50] You just drained my energy

[00:48:52] I don't even want to be happy about anything anymore

[00:48:56] It's just fear mongering most of it

[00:48:58] And I'll even go as far as say as the weather is

[00:49:00] Sometimes too now

[00:49:02] My good friend Kylie Burst

[00:49:04] Chief Muralogist over there at Fox 31

[00:49:06] She'll tell you she's like man these pinpoint weather alerts and all this stuff

[00:49:10] It's like it's designed to compete

[00:49:12] And capture views

[00:49:14] And things like it's like pinpoint weather alert for what

[00:49:16] That's gonna be 92 today

[00:49:18] It's a pinpoint weather alert

[00:49:20] That's the only highlight we can find for the day

[00:49:22] And then oh we're getting 1-3 inches this weekend

[00:49:24] Weather advisory

[00:49:26] Take precautions

[00:49:28] You know what those winter advisories

[00:49:30] Sometimes I feel our hoaxes

[00:49:32] It makes people go to the grocery store

[00:49:34] So we can reach the stock

[00:49:36] You know 100%

[00:49:38] I do believe in things like that

[00:49:40] People buy into it

[00:49:42] Being a native of Colorado

[00:49:44] When they tell me it's gonna snow 1-3 inches

[00:49:46] We're probably gonna get a foot

[00:49:48] And then when they're like it's a blizzard

[00:49:50] We're gonna get a foot

[00:49:52] An inch or some dusting

[00:49:54] And I'm like man

[00:49:56] I don't hate the meteorologists in Colorado

[00:49:58] They're smart

[00:50:00] If I have a kid in Colorado

[00:50:02] I'm gonna say hey you be a meteorologist

[00:50:04] Cause it's okay to be wrong in Colorado

[00:50:06] You just blame it on the winds

[00:50:08] And the blizzard went away

[00:50:10] But yeah like

[00:50:12] The weather is just

[00:50:14] It kind of molds people in

[00:50:16] To go to the grocery stores and go raid things

[00:50:18] And then all of a sudden that happens

[00:50:20] It's all connected

[00:50:22] And I stole this from Curve Your Enthusiasm

[00:50:24] So this is not mine

[00:50:26] But any meteorologist out there

[00:50:28] That golf you know I'm looking at you

[00:50:30] And I'm looking for the showers and all this stuff

[00:50:32] And then it's perfect weather the next day

[00:50:34] And no one's on the golf course

[00:50:36] No one's on the golf course

[00:50:38] That show is so ridiculous

[00:50:40] Meteorologists take the hit of course

[00:50:42] But they're really just kind of the

[00:50:44] Spokesperson, the liaison

[00:50:46] Where it's at now is a lot of it comes from

[00:50:48] The higher up producers

[00:50:50] It's entertainment is what a lot of us turn into

[00:50:52] Traffic, all that kind of stuff

[00:50:54] Yeah I think traffic reporting is probably still legit

[00:50:56] But even that sometimes I feel like

[00:50:58] I'm on the outside of 25

[00:51:00] Consider using another route

[00:51:02] There's just so many things that people react to now

[00:51:04] And there's so much influence happening

[00:51:06] With Twitter and our cell phone alerts

[00:51:08] My phone will start going off and making loud noises

[00:51:10] Blizzard warning

[00:51:12] And everyone starts to panic

[00:51:14] And the energy is like elevated

[00:51:16] All of a sudden, I grew up in New England

[00:51:18] We would get 12 to 18 inches

[00:51:20] Would be the forecast

[00:51:22] And then we would check the school report

[00:51:24] And it's like now school is still on for tomorrow

[00:51:26] Now they're closing schools two days in advance

[00:51:28] Because of a weather report

[00:51:30] It's unreal

[00:51:32] We had to go to school still

[00:51:34] We've had multiple blizzards in Colorado

[00:51:36] And I remember still going to school

[00:51:38] In fact, this is my neighborhood

[00:51:40] I grew up in this neighborhood

[00:51:42] Aurora is like hometown

[00:51:44] I went to Overland down the street

[00:51:46] Went to Prairie Middle School down the street

[00:51:48] Aurora is like

[00:51:50] It's fun coming down here

[00:51:52] I was like wow okay this is memory lane

[00:51:54] I remember going to Anthony's Pizza

[00:51:56] Down the street

[00:51:58] Back in the day it was dollar slice pizzas

[00:52:00] And dollar beers

[00:52:02] You can't even get anything for a dollar these days

[00:52:04] Even the dollar store has

[00:52:06] It's like a three dollar store now

[00:52:08] No way

[00:52:10] I haven't been the one since probably the pandemic

[00:52:12] But I just remember going to the dollar store

[00:52:14] Finding random junk

[00:52:16] Or going to a party

[00:52:18] And you need to go pick up some random things

[00:52:20] Dollar store is where it's at

[00:52:22] Dollar tree

[00:52:24] Dollar general

[00:52:26] There's another one

[00:52:28] It's not a dollar anymore

[00:52:30] It's like the Arizona tees that have the 99 cents

[00:52:32] Engraved in the can

[00:52:34] But then you pay $1.49

[00:52:36] Wait a minute, what's going on here

[00:52:38] I got hoaxed

[00:52:40] I remember seeing someone post on Facebook

[00:52:42] The other day

[00:52:44] The McDonald's value menu from 1995

[00:52:46] And you could get a Big Mac meal for 6 bucks

[00:52:48] What is it nowadays

[00:52:50] The Big Mac meal

[00:52:52] It's probably like 9 bucks

[00:52:54] No way

[00:52:56] I was going to say it's probably like 14 bucks

[00:52:58] You're paying 14-15 bucks for a Big Mac meal

[00:53:00] No, I think you are man

[00:53:02] The value of McDonald's

[00:53:04] I would not be paying for that

[00:53:06] I'm not paying for that

[00:53:08] That's where In-N-Out kind of has it made a little bit

[00:53:10] I don't want to wait in that line

[00:53:12] It's a good tasting burger

[00:53:14] But where In-N-Out figured out is the price

[00:53:16] Because you can get a double double

[00:53:18] 9 bucks

[00:53:20] That I can get behind

[00:53:22] It tastes like genuine too

[00:53:24] Some of the hamburgers

[00:53:26] That you get from fast food places

[00:53:28] Even Wendy's now doesn't taste like

[00:53:30] Grilled

[00:53:32] Or just like the old Wendy's days

[00:53:36] Only In-N-Out

[00:53:38] I feel like I'm genuinely eating a hamburger

[00:53:40] I want one so bad right now

[00:53:42] That fast food flavor sounds good

[00:53:44] I just don't like their fries much

[00:53:46] I'm going to agree

[00:53:48] The fries make hamburgers even better

[00:53:50] And if they would just change their fries

[00:53:52] It would be

[00:53:54] A go-to

[00:53:56] They just need a deep fry a little bit longer

[00:53:58] It's good to go a little bit longer, that's it

[00:54:00] What do you think best fast food fries

[00:54:02] On the market? Fast food

[00:54:04] I mean, I'm thinking about this myself too

[00:54:06] McDonald's is too salty

[00:54:08] Burger King I think are too thick

[00:54:10] Carl's Jr. is up there

[00:54:12] They do and they have waffle fries

[00:54:14] The Criscut fries

[00:54:16] That's good times

[00:54:18] That's only a Colorado New Mexico thing

[00:54:20] Good times

[00:54:22] They're not national

[00:54:24] Oh yeah, good times, then Hardee's Carl's Jr. is the same

[00:54:26] But they're national

[00:54:28] Hardee's back in the day right down the street

[00:54:30] From here

[00:54:32] I think there's a Carl's Jr. still up past the Trampede

[00:54:34] I bet that's what the Hardee's was

[00:54:36] Back then

[00:54:38] The Trampede

[00:54:40] Man, I've been to the Stampede since I was like 13

[00:54:42] It sucks now, no it used to pop off

[00:54:44] That place used to pop off

[00:54:46] Jeff Praskin and I used to go there every Wednesday night

[00:54:48] Cause he lived right down here too

[00:54:50] Dude, the Stampede back in the day

[00:54:52] Was fun

[00:54:54] Clubs back in the day were fun

[00:54:56] I've been to some clubs recently downtown

[00:54:58] And I feel out of place

[00:55:00] I feel like that old person

[00:55:02] Looking down on the generation

[00:55:04] But I don't want to be that stereotype

[00:55:06] Cause I do want to enjoy music

[00:55:08] And having some drinks

[00:55:10] Everybody's just staring at their cell phones

[00:55:12] Or they're just not drawn to

[00:55:14] The whole point of the club

[00:55:16] To enjoy the music

[00:55:18] There's no connections anymore

[00:55:20] People are overdressing

[00:55:22] And just trying to make themselves look too impressive

[00:55:26] Then you wake up the next day

[00:55:28] And you see that makeup cover all over your pillow

[00:55:30] And you're just like, who is this person?

[00:55:32] And they're like, ah

[00:55:34] It's just not the same anymore

[00:55:36] It's like going to Boulder

[00:55:38] I feel so out of place

[00:55:40] I do feel like that adult sitting

[00:55:42] Around all the kids now

[00:55:44] I feel weird when I'm downtown Boulder

[00:55:46] They're just young

[00:55:48] They just don't care

[00:55:50] Look, early 21 year olds

[00:55:52] Early 20s

[00:55:54] That's a different

[00:55:56] maturity

[00:55:58] I'm 30

[00:56:00] Coming up on 37

[00:56:02] That's coming soon for me

[00:56:04] And so

[00:56:06] I can see that

[00:56:08] I've been through life

[00:56:10] I can sense the life experience difference

[00:56:12] And that's okay

[00:56:14] We're all just there to enjoy the same sporting event

[00:56:16] And let the young people have fun

[00:56:18] Like I used to have fun

[00:56:20] You used to have fun

[00:56:22] You want to respect them as long as they're being respectful

[00:56:24] That's the main thing

[00:56:26] It's just different now

[00:56:28] I love cell phones

[00:56:30] It's great to be connected

[00:56:32] But I myself

[00:56:34] I'm hanging out with a chick

[00:56:36] I barely even have my phone

[00:56:38] It's almost so rude

[00:56:40] Can I just leave it at home?

[00:56:42] I don't even want to take it with me

[00:56:44] Just leave it

[00:56:46] People just have to connect

[00:56:48] And look at their phones

[00:56:50] It's a crutch

[00:56:52] It's a binky

[00:56:54] It's that comfort zone

[00:56:56] We see it a lot in airports

[00:56:58] You do any people watching in any public place

[00:57:00] I've always said when we go out to eat

[00:57:02] Or anything like that, no phones

[00:57:04] Not one of us has looked at our phones since we started this podcast

[00:57:06] I love podcasts

[00:57:08] I'm guaranteed at least an hour or two a week

[00:57:10] Of just real conversation

[00:57:12] The lost art

[00:57:14] And if they do, phones are usually involved

[00:57:16] Yeah

[00:57:18] Concerts now

[00:57:20] People filming and everything too

[00:57:22] I really like it when I go to a concert

[00:57:24] And they make you check in your phone

[00:57:26] Like comedy shows

[00:57:28] I love that stuff

[00:57:30] You get to live a moment and most people can't

[00:57:32] And now you can just see it anywhere

[00:57:34] I was like, oh man I went to this concert

[00:57:36] And it was like

[00:57:38] Private event only

[00:57:40] But then you can just watch the recording

[00:57:42] You can go on YouTube and see it

[00:57:44] No offense, it's cool

[00:57:46] Some other people might relive that experience

[00:57:48] That might not be able to

[00:57:50] Or fortunate enough to

[00:57:52] It's so much better when you've been there

[00:57:54] And you can brag about that moment

[00:57:56] Compared to anybody else

[00:57:58] And it's like

[00:58:00] I need to capture this

[00:58:02] When you pull it out to take a quick video

[00:58:04] At a concert

[00:58:06] Doing the podcast

[00:58:08] Sometimes it's work

[00:58:10] If I tag this artist and they reshare

[00:58:12] And then they appreciate me

[00:58:14] And it's a cyclical thing

[00:58:16] But it's taking me out of the concert

[00:58:18] So I'm not experiencing it

[00:58:20] Like I could if I would just put my phone down

[00:58:22] And focus on what's in front of me

[00:58:24] And also putting the phone down

[00:58:26] And just for everybody to get into

[00:58:28] Because once you start putting it down

[00:58:30] And then you start realizing

[00:58:32] How much you're going to grab your phone

[00:58:34] And then you start disciplining yourself

[00:58:36] And getting in the way of going and grabbing it

[00:58:38] Like what else am I going to do with my time

[00:58:40] Then you start really thinking about life

[00:58:42] And then you're actually involved in life

[00:58:44] Instead of just like

[00:58:46] Aimlessly going to this

[00:58:48] Time suck, it's a time suck

[00:58:50] Always trying to find that right moment

[00:58:52] To capture it's like sometimes

[00:58:54] Like just keep it up here

[00:58:56] Captured, you know

[00:58:58] How many great concerts have we been to

[00:59:00] Before cell phones were great

[00:59:02] Picture taking things and you had to actually bring a camera

[00:59:04] Have an MD stick

[00:59:06] Or not even a camera

[00:59:08] You just have that memory in your head

[00:59:10] Or your ticket stub that you saved

[00:59:12] Or it's a shitty Polaroid

[00:59:14] Like you got the one that you wind up

[00:59:16] Yeah you wind it

[00:59:18] And then you would take it to write it to one hour photo

[00:59:20] And you don't know

[00:59:22] You didn't know

[00:59:24] Hopefully there's some good pictures in here

[00:59:26] That's what you'd all be hoping for and shit

[00:59:28] That was fun though

[00:59:30] That was more our era

[00:59:32] I had

[00:59:34] Our senior trip

[00:59:36] High school senior trip

[00:59:38] We went to Cancun

[00:59:40] And I'll never forget

[00:59:42] We dropped off all our roles of film

[00:59:44] Because it was one of those

[00:59:46] Like type things

[00:59:48] The disposable camera

[00:59:50] Over at the Walmart down the street

[00:59:52] Down over there too

[00:59:54] And my buddy screamed

[00:59:56] So loud

[00:59:58] And you could hear this from

[01:00:00] Across the whole store

[01:00:02] F-bombs this and that

[01:00:04] He's with his mom

[01:00:06] We're all just doing this

[01:00:08] At Walmart

[01:00:10] And his mom is going through the pictures

[01:00:12] Skimming through

[01:00:14] And apparently

[01:00:16] We must take some pictures of this dude

[01:00:18] He was not feeling it

[01:00:20] He was so mad

[01:00:22] Took the doubles

[01:00:24] Don't even know what those pictures are anymore

[01:00:26] Because they're gone

[01:00:28] I'll never forget just being at Walmart

[01:00:30] And hearing my buddy scream so loud

[01:00:32] Because we took some

[01:00:34] Crazy pictures of him doing some good shit

[01:00:36] He had no idea

[01:00:38] What the fuck is this

[01:00:40] Get the shatter here

[01:00:42] That's hilarious

[01:00:44] Oh man, senior trip

[01:00:46] I did a senior trip

[01:00:48] Not that I can recall

[01:00:50] I won mine on a dance off

[01:00:52] At rock island

[01:00:54] Back in the day

[01:00:56] Clubs back in the day

[01:00:58] It was like this dance off

[01:01:00] If you just made the crowd

[01:01:02] Scream more for you

[01:01:04] Than you won your trip

[01:01:06] I feel like you got moves

[01:01:08] I feel like you got moves

[01:01:10] I just had the craziest wardrobe

[01:01:12] Because you had your reps

[01:01:14] If you're school that was trying to

[01:01:16] Boost up the senior trip

[01:01:18] And they hit me up

[01:01:20] If you get the crowd going crazy

[01:01:22] You can have a free trip

[01:01:24] And come with us on the senior trip

[01:01:26] I had one of those Alaskan hats

[01:01:28] Cover your ear

[01:01:30] I got one of those

[01:01:32] I had a robe on

[01:01:34] Some leopard print underwear

[01:01:36] Wild outfit

[01:01:38] Doing a cry baby on the ground

[01:01:40] I was doing some dumb moves

[01:01:42] And it got ugly

[01:01:44] What is the cry baby?

[01:01:46] Laying on the ground

[01:01:48] That could be a very

[01:01:50] Sexual move

[01:01:52] Because there's like

[01:01:54] Hip thrust against the ground

[01:01:56] Why is the cry baby so sexual?

[01:01:58] I don't like that it's called the cry baby

[01:02:00] It could be such a sexual move

[01:02:02] I agree

[01:02:04] It should be called something else

[01:02:06] It reminds me of Ravishing Rick Rood

[01:02:08] The wrestler from Back in the day

[01:02:10] His hips on the turn buckle

[01:02:12] But uh yeah

[01:02:14] Man I won my senior trip

[01:02:16] And it was like the craziest trip

[01:02:18] In Mexico

[01:02:20] Because me in Mexico we have our battles

[01:02:22] Partying

[01:02:24] I almost died in Mexico one time

[01:02:26] Off my buddy's infinity pool

[01:02:28] And luckily landed in his trough

[01:02:30] Like the drop

[01:02:32] Otherwise it goes down to like a 400 foot

[01:02:34] Clip dive

[01:02:36] How the hell did you end up on the other side of it?

[01:02:38] Well we were just messing around

[01:02:40] Like throwing this football or something

[01:02:42] And I went up to try and grab it

[01:02:44] And didn't even know how close I was

[01:02:46] To the edge and just boop

[01:02:48] Flew over, dropped in this little mini trough

[01:02:50] And it was like probably like 8 foot drop

[01:02:52] Or so and I could just always remember

[01:02:54] My buddy's heads you know

[01:02:56] Like looking over thinking I was gone

[01:02:58] Damn

[01:03:00] And that was at bachelor party

[01:03:02] That was like a music video

[01:03:04] Every day on this bachelor party

[01:03:06] I was in Jay-Z big pimpin music video

[01:03:08] Because we were like on a yacht one day

[01:03:10] We were at this one mansion the other day

[01:03:12] Then we were at what I call

[01:03:14] A compound another day

[01:03:16] Which was like their actual house

[01:03:18] It was just, it was crazy

[01:03:20] And we went

[01:03:22] Paddle boarding or something

[01:03:24] Some type of like ocean

[01:03:26] Adventure in the Gulf of Mexico

[01:03:28] Man and I was not feeling it

[01:03:30] I couldn't get on my board and balance myself

[01:03:32] I'm swallowing some water

[01:03:34] I was nervous of the water

[01:03:36] Man I was so scared

[01:03:38] Every wave looked like a shark fin

[01:03:40] You're like get me out of here

[01:03:42] I just wanted to get back on the boat and drink

[01:03:44] Every wave looked like a shark fin

[01:03:46] But you know you get like liquid confidence

[01:03:48] It's a bachelor party

[01:03:50] You're trying to hang and do like the events

[01:03:52] But after that man like for now on

[01:03:54] I'm just gonna chill on the boat

[01:03:56] You guys wanna go do water activities

[01:03:58] Cool I'm on the boat drinking

[01:04:00] Or I'll just be sober and drive everybody around

[01:04:02] No

[01:04:04] I'll never do a triathlon either

[01:04:06] I did some kayak in out in San Diego

[01:04:08] Out in the Pacific there

[01:04:10] And that was a pretty interesting excursion

[01:04:12] Our good buddy Mark and I went out there for my 21st

[01:04:14] So this was like 2010

[01:04:16] It's back when I was still in the grocery biz

[01:04:18] The old days

[01:04:20] Out in Diego man

[01:04:22] When I was coming back in they're like

[01:04:24] You know you gotta position the nose of your kayak

[01:04:26] And ride this wave in

[01:04:28] And I had it I watched my buddy Mark go

[01:04:30] And it's my turn

[01:04:32] And I get up and I'm on the crest of that wave

[01:04:34] And I'm like I got this and all of a sudden it just went

[01:04:36] Threw me over and the riptide grabbed me

[01:04:38] Lost my sunglasses

[01:04:40] Like my buddy said I stood up and was just staring out into the Pacific

[01:04:42] Like it fucked me up

[01:04:44] For sure the ocean is unforgiving man

[01:04:46] You get stuck in one of those too

[01:04:48] Water's heavy and there's a shit ton of it

[01:04:50] Throwing you around out there

[01:04:52] You only move like this fast

[01:04:54] And water while sharks and other things are just

[01:04:56] Yeah ziplining

[01:04:58] Do you like aquatic life

[01:05:00] Like aquariums or like fish

[01:05:02] I love fish I love all that stuff

[01:05:04] I love sharks and whales

[01:05:06] I really like the ocean

[01:05:08] I just don't want to be in the ocean

[01:05:10] Yeah I'm good

[01:05:12] Yeah cause somewhere in that big body of water

[01:05:14] Is something bigger than us

[01:05:16] And honestly the orcas

[01:05:18] The orcas man

[01:05:20] Bullies of the seas

[01:05:22] When they were attacking all those

[01:05:24] Vessels and stuff

[01:05:26] The vessels deserved the orca attacks

[01:05:28] Because they were probably

[01:05:30] Harassin and actually

[01:05:32] Killing and injuring orcas

[01:05:34] You know so they

[01:05:36] They deserved that

[01:05:38] I'm team orca on that

[01:05:40] I am too something probably ignited

[01:05:42] It was probably like a orca versus the world

[01:05:44] Like movement at the time

[01:05:46] It reminds you of that Simpsons episode

[01:05:48] Where like the dolphins all start attacking people

[01:05:50] If you ever see that

[01:05:52] I didn't see that one

[01:05:54] The Simpsons have predicted a lot of things

[01:05:56] Yeah they end up like moving on land

[01:05:58] To like the dolphins end up just becoming like humans

[01:06:00] Yeah and they just like try and take over the world

[01:06:02] But you know

[01:06:04] There's probably rhyme and reason why they're attacking

[01:06:06] They're intelligent

[01:06:08] Very intelligent creatures for sure

[01:06:10] And I don't know if you guys ever saw Blackfish

[01:06:12] Which was kind of the story about what happened

[01:06:14] At SeaWorld in San Diego

[01:06:16] I feel like I just saw that

[01:06:18] That was a sad documentary

[01:06:20] It's pretty rough man

[01:06:22] But you see how poorly these orcas were treated

[01:06:24] And just what putting these big whales

[01:06:26] And these big fish in captivity

[01:06:28] I think it's one thing to have a small little household

[01:06:30] Fish tank but when you take these massive creatures

[01:06:32] Out of the wild and put them in captivity

[01:06:34] To totally fucks them up

[01:06:36] They weren't built for that

[01:06:38] Yeah they're built to traverse oceans

[01:06:40] It's a massive pool sure

[01:06:42] But it's still not enough space

[01:06:44] And it's not like a zoo

[01:06:46] A zoo I feel like they still keep them in the back

[01:06:48] There's like this habitat built for them

[01:06:50] As to like SeaWorld

[01:06:52] It's just like a bunch of people surrounding this

[01:06:54] Aquarium

[01:06:56] And just like you know

[01:06:58] This thing is just not in its natural

[01:07:00] Habitat

[01:07:02] There's nothing even built for it to seem like it's in the ocean

[01:07:04] Performing in front of people

[01:07:06] I felt like SeaWorld versus the zoo

[01:07:08] Like the zoo is way better

[01:07:10] To be held captive than compared to SeaWorld

[01:07:12] I agree and I think it's better

[01:07:14] Treats their animals better

[01:07:16] I mean look

[01:07:18] They're mistreatment too

[01:07:20] And like it's there

[01:07:22] But I think it was more rampant

[01:07:24] In the SeaWorld

[01:07:26] We had John Rinky on here from Netflix

[01:07:28] Tiger King and he kind of dove into what

[01:07:30] That zoo life looks like

[01:07:32] And how these animals should be kept versus how they

[01:07:34] Are being kept in some areas even

[01:07:36] Kind of dogged on Keensburg here where they have the tiger sanctuary

[01:07:38] You know I've been to the tiger sanctuary

[01:07:40] I mean these guys have a lot of room

[01:07:42] But there are still things that probably aren't being done

[01:07:44] To you know the zoo protocols

[01:07:46] That are going to be kind of interesting to dive into

[01:07:48] It is

[01:07:50] But great conversation I mean we've covered so many different things

[01:07:52] Man you're a natural talker

[01:07:54] You don't really do social media too much

[01:07:56] Normally we ask for plugs

[01:07:58] But we do have a question we ask everybody

[01:08:00] I'm sure you've heard this question before

[01:08:02] Do you know what question

[01:08:04] Do you know what question we're going to ask?

[01:08:06] Maybe not, no

[01:08:08] So I'm going to hit you with it

[01:08:10] So if you could give let's say everybody

[01:08:12] On the entire planet heard this episode

[01:08:14] And they all hear this

[01:08:16] Your answer to this if you could give one piece of advice

[01:08:18] To all of humanity

[01:08:20] So everybody could be better tomorrow

[01:08:22] What would that one piece of advice be?

[01:08:28] That's a tough question

[01:08:30] Honestly just treat everybody equally

[01:08:33] It's probably like a cliche

[01:08:35] But you just never know who you're talking to in front of you

[01:08:37] It kind of reminds me

[01:08:39] Of back in the day when Kevin and I

[01:08:41] Worked in the grocery business

[01:08:43] And I worked at the Starbucks

[01:08:45] And this one grocery store that we were at

[01:08:47] It was like well known

[01:08:49] It was popular, it was busy

[01:08:51] It always had presidents in there

[01:08:53] And I would always tell my staff

[01:08:55] Like hey be nice to whoever the hell

[01:08:57] You're talking to in front of you

[01:08:59] Because you never know if they're having a good day

[01:09:01] Bad day

[01:09:03] It could be a president of a company

[01:09:05] Just like you just never know

[01:09:07] And you just never know

[01:09:09] Like you could meet some of the best people

[01:09:11] Or you could piss off the wrong person

[01:09:13] And cause a catastrophe

[01:09:15] Especially being a native to Colorado

[01:09:17] And the Columbine high school stuff

[01:09:19] There's probably better

[01:09:21] Preventive ways of going about

[01:09:23] Talking to other people

[01:09:25] Or judging other people

[01:09:27] You just never know

[01:09:29] It could make or break you

[01:09:31] I feel like we truly get tested

[01:09:33] With that when

[01:09:35] We're having a bad day

[01:09:37] So if I'm having a bad day

[01:09:39] I'll just then

[01:09:41] Like I was having some tooth pain

[01:09:43] Last week and I finally got it fixed

[01:09:45] And that feels way better now

[01:09:47] But like it was testing my patients

[01:09:49] And I could sense it

[01:09:51] And I was like dude I better keep this to myself

[01:09:53] It's my own fault

[01:09:55] That I put this off to why I'm feeling this toothache

[01:09:57] I can't take this

[01:09:59] Out on other people

[01:10:01] Even though I wanted to at work

[01:10:03] My patients was thinner for everything

[01:10:05] Until I got it fixed

[01:10:07] And we were like man I'm not doing well today

[01:10:09] Yeah I was pissed off

[01:10:11] We're in a sensitive world now

[01:10:13] We're in a real soft world

[01:10:15] A lot of people are soft these days

[01:10:17] And you just never know

[01:10:19] It's kind of bad

[01:10:21] Everybody's like so high tense now

[01:10:25] Yeah I grew up here

[01:10:27] In Aurora and then my parents moved to Parker

[01:10:29] And I remember

[01:10:31] Going to Panarosa my freshman year

[01:10:33] What graduating

[01:10:35] 2003

[01:10:37] Okay so you're a couple years

[01:10:39] I was 05

[01:10:41] So I'll be

[01:10:43] 39 in a couple months

[01:10:45] But I just remember

[01:10:47] The difference of

[01:10:49] Coming to school in Aurora

[01:10:51] Versus going to school in Parker

[01:10:53] And that was like the real Abercrombie

[01:10:55] And Fitch like fad time

[01:10:57] Dude same thing for me

[01:10:59] I moved from Park Hill to Parker

[01:11:01] And honestly I had a conversation

[01:11:03] With my dad where I was

[01:11:05] Because Parker lacks diversity

[01:11:07] It's very white washed out there

[01:11:09] And I asked my dad

[01:11:11] When I was younger yeah it's getting more diverse

[01:11:13] But I was like where are all the black people

[01:11:15] Where did the black people go

[01:11:17] I had friends growing up like that

[01:11:19] And it was honestly weird just being around

[01:11:21] Only white people

[01:11:23] I felt that

[01:11:25] It was a culture shock

[01:11:27] Because it's the same thing

[01:11:29] Like I called Overland a melting pot

[01:11:31] Of every culture there

[01:11:33] Which was great like

[01:11:35] Sometimes they probably like beef with one another

[01:11:37] But you know when we'd go face Cherry Creek High School

[01:11:39] We're all like one and we'd go fight

[01:11:41] And beat them up and all that too

[01:11:43] Going at Ponderosa

[01:11:45] If you didn't have

[01:11:47] Abercrombie and Fitch or any money

[01:11:49] You were pretty much like the minority

[01:11:51] Abercrombie and Fitch ain't even in the mall anymore

[01:11:53] It's not even in there

[01:11:55] I remember when their cologne came out it was called fierce

[01:11:57] And everybody was wearing it

[01:11:59] You know what you want to talk about

[01:12:01] My first boss wore it and I always knew

[01:12:03] I was like Dennis is here

[01:12:05] It's like

[01:12:07] You know how your grandpa would wear the old spice

[01:12:09] Back in the day like Abercrombie had that

[01:12:11] Like exact cologne

[01:12:13] But yeah man Parker

[01:12:15] Was such a culture shock

[01:12:17] I moved out there in the mid 90s

[01:12:19] When I was in middle school

[01:12:21] And it was the same thing

[01:12:23] Where's all the other cats at

[01:12:25] Everybody's all just white out here

[01:12:27] And it just didn't feel right

[01:12:29] So after my freshman year I just went back

[01:12:31] To Overland and went to school everyday

[01:12:33] I went from Parker to Aurora

[01:12:35] Every day

[01:12:37] Because it was worth it man

[01:12:39] The culture

[01:12:41] If you ever watched the real world back in the day

[01:12:43] Like the early seasons

[01:12:45] There would always be like someone from Utah

[01:12:47] Or somewhere just secluded from race

[01:12:49] Or they'd be like Mormon or something

[01:12:51] And of course in that house

[01:12:53] They would have

[01:12:55] You know like

[01:12:57] Someone there that would disturb

[01:12:59] Their whole beliefs

[01:13:01] And they're just like a hermit

[01:13:03] And they crumble and they can't live in this house

[01:13:05] With that person and that's sad to see

[01:13:07] I never wanted to be that person

[01:13:09] Yeah so to accept others

[01:13:11] And respect others you know

[01:13:13] Way to put it yeah

[01:13:15] Before we recorded

[01:13:17] I told you a couple things that I've learned

[01:13:19] Through the podcast but that's also another one

[01:13:21] And I don't think it's through the podcast

[01:13:23] But actually just growing older

[01:13:25] And understanding life

[01:13:27] All these cliches

[01:13:29] They're all true

[01:13:31] Every single one of these cliches is true

[01:13:33] And it sounds like old news

[01:13:35] Every single time you hear them

[01:13:37] But when you break down these simple cliches

[01:13:39] Like life is full of simple truths

[01:13:41] And sometimes it's so simple

[01:13:43] That your like the answer can't be that simple

[01:13:45] But it actually is

[01:13:47] And so just like those simple mantras

[01:13:49] Like respect others that goes so deep

[01:13:51] Am I respecting myself first of all

[01:13:53] Because if I'm going to go respect others

[01:13:55] Do I actually even have self-respect

[01:13:57] What does self-respect look like to me

[01:13:59] And then what does it look like for me

[01:14:01] To actually outwardly respect other people

[01:14:03] Especially if I disagree with this person

[01:14:05] Or don't see eye to eye with them

[01:14:07] Like how do I embrace and still show respect

[01:14:09] To that person even though I disagree

[01:14:11] So then it's like you have this simple

[01:14:13] Cliche of respect people

[01:14:15] But then you can go so deep into like

[01:14:17] The actual emotional layers of getting it done

[01:14:19] Like mantras don't exist anymore

[01:14:21] Like you don't ever see like

[01:14:23] Other dudes opening up doors for their

[01:14:25] Girlfriends sometimes, you know

[01:14:27] Or wives or like holding the door open

[01:14:29] For someone behind you

[01:14:31] Oh come on

[01:14:33] It's funny actually just today

[01:14:35] When I was arriving at the studio I was holding the door

[01:14:37] Coming in here for an older lady that was walking

[01:14:39] With a cane and she was like oh no one does that

[01:14:41] For me anymore

[01:14:43] What is that? Yeah exactly

[01:14:45] People are just so stuck

[01:14:47] You know one track mind

[01:14:49] Phone that gets where I'm going

[01:14:51] Binky time

[01:14:53] It's unreal man just very very

[01:14:55] Uninvolved so yeah I think that's all good advice

[01:14:57] Get yourself around different people

[01:14:59] When I first moved out to Colorado in 07

[01:15:01] I came from a very secluded part of the country

[01:15:03] And since from New Hampshire wasn't around a lot of diversity

[01:15:05] And so I met these guys and I moved out here

[01:15:07] I got into the city life a little bit

[01:15:09] Got me out of my country boy shell

[01:15:11] And started to understand things

[01:15:13] And have less hate and more acceptance

[01:15:15] And then you probably put your country boy on them

[01:15:17] He did! Cause like I was the same way

[01:15:19] Like I really didn't know much about country

[01:15:21] And then like I started hanging out with like you

[01:15:23] And Jeff and other people that

[01:15:25] Like like country

[01:15:27] You know what like I get this

[01:15:29] This actually kind of sounds like R&B to me too

[01:15:31] You know just in a different tone

[01:15:33] I was relating country lyrics

[01:15:35] To rap lyrics and then one day

[01:15:37] Like was this in Pemphany

[01:15:39] I was like country and rap

[01:15:41] Are the same thing

[01:15:43] Not the same stuff

[01:15:45] Women, cars

[01:15:47] It's just a different presentation

[01:15:49] But it's the same

[01:15:51] I was like oh my god

[01:15:53] That's good

[01:15:55] And not all country is good country

[01:15:57] Not all rap is good rap

[01:15:59] Every genre has good music

[01:16:01] And shitty music

[01:16:03] Majority of every genre is probably shitty

[01:16:05] And then there's good music

[01:16:07] Within every genre though

[01:16:09] It's like when you hear like oh in my times

[01:16:11] Right now it's trash

[01:16:13] I kind of feel that way sometimes when I listen

[01:16:15] Where's modern day rage against the machine

[01:16:17] You know what's funny is I was running yesterday

[01:16:19] And the very last song to kick in

[01:16:21] On my last mile was rage against the machine

[01:16:23] Bulls on parade

[01:16:25] No um

[01:16:27] Um

[01:16:31] Oh god I'm gonna

[01:16:33] The one that we all know

[01:16:35] It was like a classic cause it also reminded me

[01:16:37] Of wrestling too cause when we wrestled

[01:16:39] In high school we would play rage against the machine

[01:16:41] But it was just like perfect cause then it reminded me

[01:16:43] Of how great concerts were back in the day

[01:16:45] I remember seeing Wu Tang

[01:16:47] And rage against the machine

[01:16:49] Back in like 1996

[01:16:51] That's a hell of a show

[01:16:53] That was like the craziest mold of a show

[01:16:55] That you could ever be at

[01:16:57] I was like kind of fragile so I wasn't up in the mosh pits

[01:16:59] But like you had your mosh pit

[01:17:01] And then you had like your hip hop people too

[01:17:03] You know like it was that cool

[01:17:05] Of such like a rare thing to see

[01:17:07] But yeah rage against the machine

[01:17:09] And who knows about rage against the machine anymore

[01:17:11] You know like they're like

[01:17:13] The long lost forgotten

[01:17:15] And I wish like most people

[01:17:17] Kind of still remembered them

[01:17:19] They probably like intentionally are put into

[01:17:21] An area where they're not

[01:17:23] Publicized because of

[01:17:25] Their messages

[01:17:27] For true just like

[01:17:29] Like sometimes we get

[01:17:31] Silenced for different reasons

[01:17:33] Because we're just speaking

[01:17:35] What's on our mind

[01:17:37] I won't go too deep in that for that exact reason

[01:17:39] Well you can even think now

[01:17:41] Like

[01:17:43] When I remember hip hop from like the 90s

[01:17:45] And the 2000s like they were great stories

[01:17:47] About like drug dealing and hustling

[01:17:49] To like come up and make some money

[01:17:51] But it's different now because like

[01:17:53] Some of the hip hop I listened to

[01:17:55] I don't even want to call it hip hop

[01:17:57] It's like rapper like some crazy like

[01:17:59] Like yeah like screaming and mumbling

[01:18:01] And like they came up off of like

[01:18:03] Social media

[01:18:05] Like being popular and getting likes

[01:18:07] Like they didn't have to hustle or work hard

[01:18:09] They just like made this persona

[01:18:11] On and like got famous that way

[01:18:13] So now like what they're

[01:18:15] Talking about and rapping about

[01:18:17] Or whatever like it doesn't relate to me

[01:18:19] Because like back then like we worked hard

[01:18:21] And like how to go

[01:18:23] Our own routes of like making money

[01:18:25] But like now it's just like oh well

[01:18:27] What'd you do like you got a million followers

[01:18:29] And now you're famous and now you can

[01:18:31] Like have people writing for you

[01:18:33] And you can make money like

[01:18:35] It just doesn't relate well

[01:18:37] So like when people ask you like who's your favorite

[01:18:39] Rapper and I say Jay-Z they're like

[01:18:41] Oh that dude's old I'm like well if you

[01:18:43] Actually sit down and listen to what he says

[01:18:45] And understand what he says all the

[01:18:47] Similes and metaphors that he uses

[01:18:49] Compared to like what you're listening to now

[01:18:51] Like yeah by far I'll take Jay-Z over

[01:18:53] I don't know who's even out

[01:18:55] I was a big fan of Jay-Z when he was

[01:18:57] Like Hard Knocks Life album was great

[01:18:59] I listened to a lot of him in high school

[01:19:01] And he was listening to

[01:19:03] I would say if I had to pick my current

[01:19:05] Rapper in this market

[01:19:07] I'd go probably Tech Nine

[01:19:09] I like how he keeps it real I like

[01:19:11] How he raps I like his style

[01:19:13] Any cranks content man

[01:19:15] He's always in the studio

[01:19:17] I got kicked out of a Tech Nine concert

[01:19:19] For crowd surfing and being too rowdy

[01:19:21] Back in the day when I went to school

[01:19:23] At Front Range in Fort Collins

[01:19:25] Dude that was wild

[01:19:27] I just remember stage diving

[01:19:29] And then finally they just got enough of me

[01:19:31] Just keep going out

[01:19:33] I do like Tech Nine

[01:19:35] Tech Nine is great

[01:19:37] I just hope his Kansas City Chiefs lose in the Super Bowl

[01:19:39] Oh man the Chiefs are back

[01:19:41] Go Niners

[01:19:43] Gosh

[01:19:45] I have to say this as an AFC fan

[01:19:47] Any time my Patriots don't make it

[01:19:49] I'm gonna go NFC

[01:19:51] You gotta root for the conference

[01:19:53] It only makes you seem like you were a stronger team

[01:19:55] That you probably lost to

[01:19:57] Yeah I hope the Niners do it

[01:19:59] But man

[01:20:01] It's so hard to go against

[01:20:03] My home is so good

[01:20:05] Kids are unbelievable

[01:20:07] He's fun to watch

[01:20:09] He is fun to watch

[01:20:11] It's almost hard to go against the Chiefs

[01:20:13] Been there done that multiple times

[01:20:15] It's tough

[01:20:17] Let's go Niners

[01:20:19] It's gonna be a good game

[01:20:21] I'm tired of seeing Taylor Swift

[01:20:23] I love Taylor Swift

[01:20:25] She doesn't play the sport

[01:20:27] We're not there to talk about Taylor Swift

[01:20:29] And I don't even think she wants all that

[01:20:31] This is more of like

[01:20:33] CDS and Fox

[01:20:35] It's a splash effect

[01:20:37] People that come in

[01:20:39] We need to get the women movement going

[01:20:41] If Taylor Swift likes NFL

[01:20:43] Why can't all the younger generation

[01:20:45] Of women like the NFL

[01:20:47] Give it a try

[01:20:49] Huge PR

[01:20:51] It's bad

[01:20:53] It's great

[01:20:55] I don't want to keep seeing

[01:20:57] Highlights of Taylor Swift in the sweet box

[01:20:59] She's not even doing anything

[01:21:01] They just cut through when she clapped

[01:21:03] Because Kelsey just got

[01:21:05] We're drinking and eating

[01:21:07] And having a good time

[01:21:09] What is she doing

[01:21:11] She's not even a bad girl

[01:21:13] She's sitting there taking off articles

[01:21:15] Of clothing

[01:21:17] Getting down to her bra

[01:21:19] She's just chilling

[01:21:21] Kelsey's brother

[01:21:23] At the Buffalo game

[01:21:25] He's shirtless taking pictures with fans

[01:21:27] It was more on him than it was

[01:21:29] I found that great

[01:21:31] If he doesn't retire

[01:21:33] He was wearing all sorts of Kansas City gear

[01:21:35] That just beat them last year

[01:21:37] For the Super Bowl

[01:21:39] Next year he's back as a filly player

[01:21:41] I think he's probably done

[01:21:43] We'll see

[01:21:45] Travis is coming back next year

[01:21:47] This might be a good opportunity

[01:21:49] To go out with a ring if they get it

[01:21:51] What about Andy Reed?

[01:21:53] There's rumors that Belchak could land in Kansas City

[01:21:55] If Reed goes out

[01:21:57] If you lose the Super Bowl

[01:21:59] Do you try and run it back

[01:22:01] And see if you can make it again

[01:22:03] Or if you win the Super Bowl

[01:22:05] Do you retire as a champ

[01:22:07] And you've been to the past six Super Bowls

[01:22:09] And won four or something crazy

[01:22:11] Do you want to try and come back again next season

[01:22:13] When this season was already kind of like

[01:22:15] I don't know

[01:22:17] I agree when Elway left on the two-peat

[01:22:19] Elway left at the right time

[01:22:21] I feel like we could have got a three-peat if he stayed

[01:22:23] And TD if he didn't get injured

[01:22:25] So there's all these circumstances

[01:22:27] That's the last time I knew about sports

[01:22:29] It was back then

[01:22:31] Back to back era was great

[01:22:33] Patriots did it

[01:22:35] That's kind of why I don't want Kansas City to do it

[01:22:37] If only the ABS could have pulled the back-to-back

[01:22:39] Last year they were solid to pull it

[01:22:41] And then they just

[01:22:43] I wanted ABS Bruins Stanley Cup

[01:22:45] That would be Stanley Cup of Stanley Cups

[01:22:47] Man we need it

[01:22:49] ABS Bruins

[01:22:51] That's like fast paced versus defensive

[01:22:53] Kind of minded

[01:22:55] Mid-paced type hockey

[01:22:57] Typical Boston in my mind

[01:22:59] They still score but in my mind

[01:23:01] Boston is just like

[01:23:03] East Coast

[01:23:05] We're going to rough you up type

[01:23:07] And the ABS is just like don't leave us open

[01:23:09] Because we're just going to make shots

[01:23:11] Shoot like 40 games

[01:23:13] ABS Bruins Stanley Cup

[01:23:15] Why not ABS Bruins, Nuggets, Celtics

[01:23:17] Celtics, ooh

[01:23:19] Even though I don't like that matchup

[01:23:21] Because Celtics got some bodies against the Nuggets

[01:23:23] That I don't want to see

[01:23:25] Because when it came down to the heat

[01:23:27] Versus Celtics last year

[01:23:29] I was like if anybody's from Colorado

[01:23:31] You want the heat to make it

[01:23:33] Because they only have BAM

[01:23:35] He's like the only tall person to get rebounds for the heat

[01:23:37] Otherwise the Nuggets match up

[01:23:39] Way better against the heat

[01:23:41] Like Aaron Gordon who's like a monster

[01:23:43] Against what like Jimmy

[01:23:45] What's it

[01:23:47] I almost just said Jimmy Buffett

[01:23:49] Jimmy whatever his name is

[01:23:51] And then like all those other cats

[01:23:53] They're tiny so like even

[01:23:55] Michael Porter Jr.

[01:23:57] Is getting double doubles on rebounds

[01:23:59] And everything like that was exactly what I wanted

[01:24:01] And I knew the Nuggets would have

[01:24:03] Killed the heat

[01:24:05] But we start talking about like the Boston Celtics

[01:24:07] Those dudes got some long arms

[01:24:09] Some tall bodies

[01:24:11] And we don't have much size

[01:24:13] So like Boston scares me on that matchup

[01:24:15] But I'm not afraid

[01:24:17] We should still take them and go prove it

[01:24:19] Because Boston is that team to beat

[01:24:21] Love it

[01:24:23] I want to see it happen

[01:24:25] I think it'll be fun man

[01:24:27] Last time we had like a Boston

[01:24:29] Colorado lineup would have been

[01:24:31] Of course the World Series

[01:24:33] I guess you could say the Bronco Patriot 2015

[01:24:35] AFC Championship game

[01:24:37] I think 2018

[01:24:39] We went for the two point conversion there in New England

[01:24:41] To tie it up, missed it

[01:24:43] No good, Denver takes it

[01:24:45] I remember hearing so much shit

[01:24:47] Walking into King Super's the next day

[01:24:49] That was a rough one

[01:24:51] I never talk shit man

[01:24:53] Yeah like you know

[01:24:55] I just let it be

[01:24:57] Like they'll play it out in the game

[01:24:59] Because I always feel like I'm that person

[01:25:01] When I talk shit my team loses

[01:25:03] And I hate hearing it

[01:25:05] It's like a karmic thing

[01:25:07] I just don't like doing it

[01:25:09] I don't talk shit, I just keep it silent

[01:25:11] And say hey good luck

[01:25:13] We'll see how this goes, maybe you want to put a bet on it

[01:25:15] Perfect, otherwise

[01:25:17] I'm not in someone's face

[01:25:19] I don't even want to be at someone's house

[01:25:21] If they're in my face screaming

[01:25:23] Every play

[01:25:25] That's what was cool about being at the Patriots game

[01:25:27] With you, there wasn't any shit talking

[01:25:29] We were just there to have a good time

[01:25:31] Hang out, have fun, have a couple beers

[01:25:33] That was an awesome time, thanks again for

[01:25:35] Bringing me along on that adventure bro

[01:25:37] That was great, every good thing happened that day

[01:25:39] That day went perfectly

[01:25:41] Other than the weather

[01:25:43] The last hurrah for Bill Belichick

[01:25:45] His last win

[01:25:47] I got to see it

[01:25:49] I got to see it man

[01:25:51] Forever thankful for that man

[01:25:53] We'll do it again

[01:25:55] Anytime I get sweet access with the business I'm in

[01:25:57] I'll definitely invite you along to the Jim Bean sleep

[01:25:59] You gotta come out and hang out with us

[01:26:01] You're on the list

[01:26:03] And you seem like you're hella chill man

[01:26:05] I'm having a good time, I'm happy that we all got a

[01:26:07] Link up

[01:26:09] I gotta meet you

[01:26:11] So, yeah, you're coming back on

[01:26:13] I'm down to go to his game

[01:26:15] Respect people out there

[01:26:17] Do you have a slogan or a catchphrase for yourself?

[01:26:21] Not really no

[01:26:23] I don't

[01:26:25] You know what

[01:26:27] Before we even like

[01:26:29] Get off and the whole thing

[01:26:31] I gotta tell you

[01:26:33] If I

[01:26:35] If you had a New York accent

[01:26:37] You would remind me of

[01:26:39] A young Howard Stern

[01:26:41] Your voice is just like

[01:26:43] You guys have great radio voices

[01:26:45] But you remind me of Howard Stern's voice

[01:26:47] Minus the New York accent

[01:26:49] Like if I was blind

[01:26:51] And you were to play this to me

[01:26:53] I would be like oh Howard Stern podcast

[01:26:55] Like cool, dude you just

[01:26:57] You have such a smooth

[01:26:59] Radio voice

[01:27:01] Like you guys are smooth operators for sure

[01:27:03] Kev is the

[01:27:05] The silky smooth radio voice king

[01:27:07] I appreciate it

[01:27:09] Like radio plug

[01:27:11] If I need someone to read some ads for me

[01:27:13] Or something like you have that voice

[01:27:15] Oh yeah, I volunteered him for projects

[01:27:17] That we've had too

[01:27:19] We could do voiceovers, Kev could do those

[01:27:21] For you

[01:27:23] I'll do it

[01:27:25] Thank you both for letting me come on

[01:27:27] This was awesome

[01:27:29] Thanks for letting my son come with me

[01:27:31] Let's get him on camera 4 there

[01:27:33] He's resting, let's go ahead and cheers to that man

[01:27:35] Cheers, cheers, cheers

[01:27:37] Cheers, cheers

[01:27:39] This is empty too, I got an empty here too

[01:27:41] Great episode man, this one flew by

[01:27:43] We're at like an hour and a half

[01:27:45] Which is tremendous, Jeff Krosky

[01:27:47] You're in the hot seat now

[01:27:49] You're coming on this program

[01:27:51] We're gonna get out of here man

[01:27:53] We're gonna do a little chip
