[00:00:00] This podcast is powered by The Plug. So I have been a big fan of what I've been seeing out in the world as well as being in the audience of shows that you all put together in this Denver fashion industry.
[00:00:43] And so I went out on a limb and I was like, would you all be willing to do this today? And here we are! So thank you all so much for coming in for facilitating everything that you have.
[00:00:58] And again just for the ethereal energy that I'm feeling from everyone. Y'all are just a blessing today. So with that! Would you like to just go ahead and introduce yourselves and, you know, just something that's fueling the spirit today? Yes!
[00:01:15] Thank you first of all. Thank you for having that. I mean, haven't really done many podcasts. I've usually been behind the scenes, so I've summarized first for me. But my name is Nino, Walton. And I'm a owner and co-founder of GeoEastile.
[00:01:34] I have my partner, her name is Nian Elsa, who is not present here today because she's in Georgia. Okay. Okay, some new deals! Right? Yeah, she's working that side right now. But I'm here with Katisha. And Katisha is usually with me on all the shows lately.
[00:01:54] And she's like my right hand. So this is what I've been doing. We do behind the scenes together. Okay, okay. My name is Katisha Campbell. My name is Katisha Campbell. I'm a wardrobe stylist and kind of model ring, but I feel like that's a good one.
[00:02:13] For GeoEastile, I love details and I love the background. There's things coming from my family as a history of event planning. And so I like the behind the scenes. I actually got hooked up with Geo because my daughter models for her. Okay, that's so after a year.
[00:02:26] I came to a show and I was like, oh, I love that my daughter has been a dancer since she was three so I'm used to backstage moments. Yeah. Yeah. So I came on board and just saw where I could be useful. Amazing.
[00:02:37] And I can also tell you're holding the mic like a singer. Where is she that little pink? You're gonna move on that beat, you know? I see it! Okay, amazing. So is that something else that you do outside of the fashion world?
[00:02:53] Actually, I was a visual merchandiser for Pirro1 and Bass Pro shops for 17 years and then I went back to school, finished my degree in Psychology and I've been a life coach for the last couple years. I mean, counseling kind of the whole time.
[00:03:07] I graduated from high school and went to college and got film-loaf, got married, went away. I did merchandising and again came back and so I live coached on this side. But I love fashion and met me, no, Adam. What did I miss?
[00:03:22] My daughter did a shoot for her. Oh yes, her birthday. Oh the Christmas. Yes, yes, yes. I wanted to dress as a met her. It was the energy. Yeah, we got a lot of relief. Yeah, from the first time we were back.
[00:03:33] Yeah, we got a lot of relief. You ever helped us let me know. And so that is she's there all the time. And what a beautiful place for placement for you just in like having like the life coach, you know, space that you're in.
[00:03:47] But then you're like enhancing the joy of models and the giddars that they get and designers that may feel like this combobulated while so much is happening behind the scenes. So you'd be a grounding man. Yeah, I see it. Amazing.
[00:04:01] So how are going to come to be that you ended up in Denver though? Denver. Oh, we're in Denver. Well, trust me, I'm always here from who why. Which is crazy. Even crazy. I never wanted to come to the States to be honest. Right?
[00:04:15] So I got married and then I was like, can we please leave in Georgia? Mm-hmm. But my husband, we went to Georgia. We stayed there for a while, but he felt way out of his comfort zone because he didn't expect the language. He was the friend, you know.
[00:04:33] Now when you're saying Georgia though, I'm talking about country. See? Yeah, yeah. I was saying it. Atlanta? Okay, but you also said you didn't want to be in the States. Now I'm putting it together. Yes, yes, yes. So because my dream always was to live in Europe. Mm-hmm.
[00:04:51] Nothing against the States obviously. Now I live here. I love it here. But at that time, I was imagined myself being somewhere in Europe. Like for me, Holland, Dutch, West, or World. World? Yes. To this day, it's my favorite country. Okay.
[00:05:08] But anyway, so he'll do it to take it home. Why are you? You're the coosin. Okay. So he brought me to Hawaii and I mean we moved there. Like right after vacation, I was like okay, I'm coming. Okay. So you were inching closer. Yeah. The learning worked.
[00:05:27] So we lived there for a while and then we were like okay, so what do we do? We're doing more because, you know, when you created a family who why it's not really the spot that you want to be. You want to give them more open feelings.
[00:05:41] So they're just like, yeah. And we're going to be in the 40s. So we kind of did this on the map. Okay. Okay. You called? I love it. And so then we were doing it. Yeah. Okay.
[00:05:52] And then, you know, we obviously looked it up and everything like what we were looking for. It was like supportive military community, you know, international couples, children, schools. Right. It is really nice, you know, let's climb everything that we were looking for was here.
[00:06:11] So that's how we end up here. Oh, so. Okay. And then you brought more designers with you. You brought more looks within the fashion world that I've been witnessing. But I know you like it. Okay. So how to clear something up? Okay. Clear it first of all.
[00:06:27] I am not the designer myself. What happens? It's still a take. Yes. Okay. That's a better name. Okay. Because that since I love fashion from, I don't know, forever. I, when I go back home, meaning Georgia, the country off, I always buy something like
[00:06:46] a lot different accessories, outfits, whatever and every time I come back, I wear it, obviously, always feel overdressed everywhere. I don't want to. Okay. You're right. That's what I mean. It's just a good feeling for me, right? Yeah.
[00:07:02] And then lots of questions like, where did you get it? Oh my god. This is so nice. Where did you get it? So, one of 2020, I think it was just right before COVID started. I bought one of the outfits. We're probably show it today here.
[00:07:19] And that was the outfit that started everything. So I brought it back in. And my partner, Mia, was visited me from North Carolina, Charlotte and she wore the outfit for one of the photoshoot that we were doing.
[00:07:32] And we were like, why don't we give this access to people to actually buy this thing? So if they wanted to, right? So this is how it's all started. Okay. And when Mia took it over and she contacted the designers and then we started to recruit
[00:07:48] a more and more designers. Okay. Now we're working about 18 different designers. Whoa. Yes. Okay. But that's why Denver's looking fresh now from all the country off Georgia. That's the mission of the G. All in style. We all stands for Georgia and in style. Yes. Okay. Look at this.
[00:08:07] It's amazing. Okay. So that's a lot to facilitate though. It is. Yeah. But they're not all clothing. So we have accessories. We have jewelry. Okay. I mean, we have different stuff but we love clothing. Yeah.
[00:08:27] I've been seeing the fits which all are going to see here in just a minute. Right. It's crazy. We never thought of runway before. This was an idea. Okay. It wasn't. What happened was that when we opened up the website very first time, the Charlotte
[00:08:42] scene is the organizer who does the Charlotte fashion week. Okay. Back there and she contacted us and she was like, can we show your designers on the runway? And that's how all kinds of stuff. Yeah. We were like, okay. Yeah. That just gives us more you know option.
[00:09:04] Yeah. To show the people what we have. And that's how it's all started. So it's like a cooperative kind of. You just have everybody working alongside each other or your facilitating everything. Do you ever use multiple designers in one runway? Yes. Okay.
[00:09:22] This was like this last and their fashion week. Actually. Put all of eating and where were you different. More then I was there. Yes, I was. That was in support. Yes. Thank you.
[00:09:33] So that's how I sort do I didn't do it like and just see in your fits. And like I think one of the first ones I saw was a jacket that had a bunch of the eyes on it. And I was like, complete shy. Office's hand spoon.
[00:09:44] Like, opposites. And I, I was like one day. I'm gonna touch one of those garments. Like the loony Oliver and conversation with me today. So sorry. I think it's so hard. This was way hard. Well, you do, thank you.
[00:10:00] So within Denver, I know that just to like speak from the vernacular of a person that's kind of watched Denver go through a lot of Ed and flows in the last like 20 years. I wouldn't say that Denver's like a fashion capital by any means.
[00:10:15] You know, we have a lot of like non-capital, but there's a lot of, you know, not to this other brand. It's just like very, you know, mountain vibes, you know, Patagonia. You got your typical like, you know, north face and things like that.
[00:10:32] And so one of the people that really kind of just like inspired with a message was be a good person. And so they were like the first people I saw kind of like making moves in the city that was like highlighting things differently.
[00:10:44] And then I was like, okay, there's got to be a little bit more of a sense of, not I would, I don't want to like be dismissive of a person's journey within their own style or evolution in it.
[00:10:56] But as I was discovering about myself, I was finding out like people think I'm dressed up. But in order for me to leave the house, I need to do something whether it's like, cosplaying myself for the day or like I just want to be out with them. Yeah.
[00:11:12] Yeah. And it actually helps me to like stay out and achieve more in the day versus if I don't. Then I'll stay in my little depression, dent in my bed. But anyway. Oh, it's good mental health. Yeah.
[00:11:25] If that's who you are, when you put on good clothes or different clothes, it makes you feel good. That's how you want to move about on the earth. Absolutely. So good. And like you said, you stay out and you're more productive. It's so worried about the other stuff.
[00:11:37] Right. And even finding like my discovery is a queer person, you know, I saw or I would see so many people like in a transitional period.
[00:11:46] You know, in transition doesn't always have to be like, you know, doing something completely with your physical body that like altering your body. It can literally just be what you wear. Right.
[00:11:58] You know, and so I started dabbling in different styles and then friends were like, you should be a model. And I was like, what does that even mean? What are you in fashion? Whatever. You know, we do have a style that's all it means, right?
[00:12:10] To be a model. I mean, obviously if you want to be a runway model, that's a different category. You know what I mean? Like, then you do have to have the specifics that looks good on the runway. Right. But anybody can be a model. Absolutely.
[00:12:24] And you have the style and you can bring it out. It doesn't have to be a designer crazy rider. Right. You know what I mean? Model for your own style. You're exactly the same. Just put yourself out there through the clothes. That's all you have to do.
[00:12:40] Everybody's a model. Whether you're a good model. Yeah. If you can follow that instruction, are you capable? I don't know. I am kind of sometimes. We'll see. We'll find out. But anybody is like back home. The culture is like this.
[00:12:56] If you're getting out of house, you can never go out in pajamas or in a bathroom. Here, no, don't make up, no, out. That's all happening. If you're going to the store to just get a bread and water or whatever, you can do.
[00:13:12] All the way up to bottom. Get done. Then you can go out. It's just a culture. So I think that's what usually brought their attention when, um, you know, coming out of the house. Then that's why everybody feels like a dress stop. I'm not really dressed up.
[00:13:32] I'm just dressed nice. Yeah. I just took time. Yes, myself. Yes. Because sometimes when you look at the mirror, you want to see yourself like looking good. Yeah, I do. It's you. Sometimes I see death warm, don't burn. I go back for that.
[00:13:47] But this is, um, it's just a really remarkable space to share with you all, especially I can just like just feeling in the essence of what y'all are doing and how you empower people.
[00:13:57] And I think within an industry that has a lot of exploitive behavior, um, for models and designers. I think that how you're advocating for your models and you're obviously advocating even for their mental health because they've been smiling this whole time.
[00:14:14] They've been in here and that's not super common behind the scenes, you know? I don't know in the other way. But that's like into you.
[00:14:22] That's normal, but to folks that have maybe been wounded by the fashion industry and they're not feeling secure in that it had really nothing to do with like maybe their personality or their style. It was just like how exploited they got, you know?
[00:14:37] And so just to see, um, first of all the, the confidence that sweeps over the folks that you put in the outfits. Like they are serving face on that runway like they do. They do. They're just showing your face.
[00:14:51] I would fit to actually give you that energy that makes it feel that powerful. Like what do you want to be sexy? Yeah. I'm just here.
[00:15:01] It's, and one of the things I want to say while you were saying that it's, Nina was very good at creating the atmosphere. She really cares about the models.
[00:15:09] She really cares that they are cared for, that they are seeing that we hear what they need to say, that we put them in clothing that is comfortable for them. And so it's really, um, it's really empowering to see. Yeah, we always try to do that for sure.
[00:15:21] You curate it really well. We don't put them in a closet. They don't feel comfortable. You don't feel the clothes, you know, going to show it on the right. That is no one. So yeah, we always try to do that. Most of the time.
[00:15:34] I mean, exceptions happen to me. We're just getting out there. Yeah. We're just getting out there. Yeah. Well, so speaking of models, we all just came through today. We have some very beautiful humans ready to show, okay, some of the designers that you've brought on board for today.
[00:15:56] So would it be okay if we kind of start bringing folks out? Amazing. Yeah. Okay. They have the ones that love attention that comes from all the way from overseas. Oh, gosh, you're all acting so hard right now. Thank you. Thank you. Okay.
[00:16:13] So first designer that we're going to show will be Smucky. Okay. So she is known. So I recognize that known to be very vibrant, very storytelling sexy, obviously. Yes. And then she's very creative, like very creative. Mm-hmm. These are so. Thank you to the model.
[00:16:44] She has a shop back into the city. And she just showed that then refashion work on last season. And she also showed that the Charlotte fashion fashion work. She showed the Spirelandberg, she showed the New York.
[00:16:59] I mean, we had her in many, many shows already as it is. But wow. Yeah. These fits our, this is amazing. So how old is this? So this is from a very last collection. There was the collection before that.
[00:17:18] And there was the very first one was from also very, very newest collection. Okay. Okay. So sort of these like, is she like a seasoned in that world? Oh, I guess. Oh, I guess. Oh, yeah. So Smucky has been in designing world for about seven years. Okay.
[00:17:37] Where she's already out there and she's designing and doing things in art world. Okay. And she's been working in the world for eight years. But like, as she created this bread, I think seven years. Okay. And then yeah, she has very good customer base back home.
[00:17:54] And she's very known there. But what our mission is in geol style is to bring them out here. Yeah. And get the world here to know them as well. Absolutely. Look at those. Yeah. You can't go find that just in a regular way. Exactly. Yeah.
[00:18:12] Not to diss what Colorado has to offer, but you have to literally go to like a vintage store or just like a really ritty mall to find some of these things. And I'd rather find something that's like curated handcraft and stuff from the brilliance of a brain,
[00:18:27] you know? Yes. That's phenomenal. So how did you come about meeting this? Did they just come into the geo and style collab? But the very first designer we contacted her, that would be our next designer that will show. Okay. MG, okay. She's known for MG.
[00:18:46] And she just, as soon as we put her on the runway, she took over. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Today we're going to show more like her everyday wear. Okay. Because I think everybody at this point knows MG as being very, futuristic. Okay. You know, crazy. Yeah.
[00:19:09] But I wanted to show her everyday wear. Okay. Because I want people to see that you can have MG that you can wear in a regular days. Absolutely. Yeah. Because I mean fashion shows shows all those runway looks which you might never wear. Right. But yeah.
[00:19:27] Good to see on the runway, which we love showing her. Yeah. I think it's important to also know that as an herbrand represented, we can also show something that she wears every time. You can wear everything. So that's the flexibility within her brand. Okay. Amazing.
[00:19:46] So MG being in the business of designs for about 15 years. Okay. So she used to be a shoemaker. Okay. Yes. She's very proficient in leather. Okay. And leather is her thing. Yeah. Okay. But she used to design for different shows, men home. Like costumes. Yeah.
[00:20:11] So this would be something that maybe would design for everyday wear. Okay. I'm definitely want to be wearing that. That's a big, that she's wearing right now is her all-hand-wain, obviously. And that uniqueness. I mean, she always comes up with something crazy like that.
[00:20:30] I would love something like that because I don't like persons or wallets. See? You know what I'm like. Oh, that is this! So good! So actually, guys, everybody's a digital photographer's guy back home. Yes. Mm-hmm. We've been coming to our office. Yeah.
[00:20:49] It's from her very very very first collection that we showed. Oh, this is so good! I love the leather work, all the accessories. Yep. Honey. Shout-out to the models. Yeah. Thank you! You're doing it. Wow. Love you so much.
[00:21:09] That's a really beautiful versatile vibe because I think I've seen some of them more. I don't want to say extreme but they're the most flat-ish. It is. Yeah. So she started creating for the runway more flashy. Yeah. Because it's better to see on them. Yeah.
[00:21:26] You want to show people to say something. Exactly. Exactly. You want to bring that energy that your brand carries on the runway. Right. But for everyday obviously... Oh, I want to wear any of those looks out. Just to go to the park. Yeah. Trustably, if I would.
[00:21:43] I mean, I'm just my closet full. Okay. I wear her every day. I look because I'm not very vibrant person except my hair. I was going to say it. But I love it. Yes. And this is the only thing. Yeah. Yeah. I don't like that.
[00:22:01] I like more like, you know, subtle tones. I can't wait. You know, some creams. Yeah. Browns. So, and you've been in my closet. Okay. They're very long-time. She's one of my favorite designers for sure. Amazing.
[00:22:17] And we can find her also like on the social on the platforms and things like that if we see her style out individually. Yeah, sure. So, Gio and Stahl has... Well, we have them all under uttering the background obviously. Yeah. They're kind of going to be safe. Yeah.
[00:22:38] Yes, yes, yes. Okay. So if you specifically look in for each designer, yes, you can go through Gio and Stahl. It's a good pair. Perfect. They're hanging. I've been there. Which are very like to see and then follow through. Okay? Yeah.
[00:22:54] But we will continue to bring them on. Okay. More and more. So, oh, yeah. We were talking about how come the how do we get so many designs. Yeah. So after first two shows, I think, with Maggie, designers started contact us. Okay.
[00:23:14] Now, the benefit for them obviously besides the fact that they are going to be shown in the states and known in the states is that we also sponsor them with all the shows. Wow. So they are not the ones who pay for it. Wow. You facilitate a lot.
[00:23:30] Yes. We sponsor them while they're here with all the shows anything they need. Okay. So Gio and Stahl is... That's what it does now. That's from the ear providing. That's really incredible. It is. And what we wanted to do really wanted to showcase Georgia the best way possible.
[00:23:51] And for us, since the fashion is something that interests us, this was the best way possible. Oh, I'm seeing it. Because y'all are bringing like light to... I guess just like styling pieces that I would have never thought went together.
[00:24:07] Like I like to mix match everything but the way that y'all facilitate even your runway shows and different styles in there. I've gotten a lot of ideas simply from being an observer. Thank you. Yeah, that's all right. By the way, I've seen your styles. You are great style.
[00:24:23] I really appreciate your style. I was pretty good. I was pretty good. Well, I knew I was going to be next to y'all. And I was like, I can't be sluffin' today. He's got to be proper. Well, thank you so much. I appreciate it.
[00:24:35] This is all thrifted gear. So, you know, I stay thrifty. That's okay. I mean, like I said, as long as you can show you what you feel. Absolutely. It's where it means. That's how often. Yeah. So we got some more looks coming out here right now and who's...
[00:24:58] So, does that matter? Does that matter? Design is solid demode. Solid demode? Yes. That's the name of her. These names. I know. Her actual name is the Lome. Okay? So, it kind of matches with her. Right away. This is her susswile. Oh, yes, I love it.
[00:25:20] And we go to... We go to... Look at that. So, what she does with her designs... She's the theme and she goes with it. So this collection was for animals. Okay. And then one of her collection was... Flowers, I believe. And she's working on her new...
[00:25:42] Oh, one of her collection was bears. Okay. Teddy bears. So, come on, this is from one of her last collections that we also showed that this is a passion way. Oh, okay. So, that's the bear that I'm going to talk about. I mean, who would think...
[00:25:59] This is incredible. Oh, my God. And I love things on the shoulders. I love puppy sleeves. Obviously. Oh, my God. I just... I'm very unique. I think. I agree. But they're no crazy enough to not be able to wear. Right. The actual essential is in the love.
[00:26:17] Oh, my God. Perfect. Is it me who's kidding me? Yeah. This is fire. Oh, absolutely. I think I would. I got no. Yeah. That's an amazing bag. Oh, okay. I'm just a bag. Why? So she's also no. I'm working with the leather.
[00:26:40] And her thing is the bag's accessories mostly. You know, she does those a lot of other things. Oh, wow. She has a clothing line with everything else. My... Her most important part is the accessories. Okay. I'm going to use the ones that really...
[00:26:58] What gets attention in her collection. Okay. There definitely one of a kind pieces. I've never seen that. First of all, it's very clean though. It's not really busy. So your attention draws right to it. Which I'm drooling right now. That's incredible. So their...
[00:27:18] Her style is more leaning towards like the leather pieces and those ones. It is kind of like accessory vibes. Yes. Okay. It's more, but she obviously has the clothing line as well. Which does design and clothes.
[00:27:31] But I would say her clothing line is like classy, but same time obstruct. Okay. That's how I would describe it. It's like... Most of us all look like art pieces to me. All of it. This looks like an art piece to me right now. Right now.
[00:27:50] And I think it's also just the energy that you bring in helping them feel confident. And so then they're just pushing it a little bit more. And it's definitely something that Denver needs. This country is in general. I definitely got... I mean, country. I don't know.
[00:28:07] I mean, New York has... You're right. It's hard to remember. I've never been. So I'm speaking from a space of not knowing. But still, we still stand out a little bit. You know? Because the last show that we did in New York had a really good feedback. Like...
[00:28:22] I'm so excited. Once I saw you went from Denver Fashion Week and then you were in New York, I was like, oh, leaving us behind. Because you guys are on the move. But love what you're doing. Yeah.
[00:28:36] I mean, it is the mission to introduce to the whole stage. It's not just for Denver or for Charlotte or for New York. I mean, I'm trying to connect in LA. I'm trying to connect in Atlanta. We want to bring this out of you. Absolutely.
[00:28:50] And since we do have so many designers, all that, we're also trying to put the our own shows together. Okay. You know what I mean? Yes. So for example, we do have one show coming. I'm so excited. I will be front and center.
[00:29:11] So yeah, on August 23rd, we'll put the show together. Now, the production of this show is the GG vibes. And why GG vibes? Because we are collaborating with GG vibes because GG vibes can bring the local designer's in this way. Okay.
[00:29:31] So it's not going to be just the G.O.N. style. It's going to be G.O.N. style with the local design. Okay. So Andreas Taga will show on that show. The 10 wars going to show on that show. Tia, 7L is going to show.
[00:29:48] And then we're going to bring one of our scorpions on that show as well. Now, other G.O.N. style designers, there will be most important about it. You have to say this show is created called as a fashion passport.
[00:30:09] What that means is that you get a passport walking. Okay. Yes. That's fine. And then you have to go around and actually meet each design. Oh my God. It's very hard to stamp you to say that they have met you. Oh my God.
[00:30:28] And as you meet them, you will have opportunity to look through their stuff, their collections, their handmade. This is such a great idea. And then if you like anything, obviously you get a chance to purchase it, support them, whatever.
[00:30:49] And then after you meet everybody, if you come to the past where you get a free drink and then you go up on the rooftop and watch the actual run by. Oh my gosh. So yeah, it is an incredible show idea. I think so too.
[00:31:04] No, you should know so. That's so. This is incredible. And you said this was August 23rd. Okay. We're going to talk more about that in a second because we've got more looks to show here. Okay. So the next designer that will be coming up, this is Sophie. Okay.
[00:31:25] So Sophie, she grew up by the Black Sea. Okay. She's from the same point where I'm from. Okay. So we're next towns to each other. Okay. So she's very classy. Same time. Crazy. I was like the sleeves, the gloves are attached to the sleeves.
[00:31:49] I don't know what they are. Oh my god. And here's the funny part. You can actually use that. Self-funded and everything else. Oh my gosh. Oh, these looks. Yes. Come on. I just keep the joy. So yeah, I see her style is very, very classy.
[00:32:11] Definitely brings those vibes. Every time I see her collection. Yeah. And just like lightly attached to the arms still that way. Oh my god. These are amazing. You have some kind of twist to this color though. Wow. Isn't that pretty? Gosh, honey. These models are just, they're amazing.
[00:32:35] Wow. I really met that color that color on that last one there. God. It was so good. So she's more, you said kind of more like in the classier style. Yeah. She does lots of wedding dress. Okay. It's bright, smooth. Stuff like that. Okay.
[00:32:56] So but then she has lots of menswear as well. Okay. I'm fortunate that they have boys today, which I should probably have because I know it's a good bandrogynous baby. Yeah. Good. No, this is great. So yeah. She does lots of two pieces. You know?
[00:33:15] Like more like classy. Oh, we have like vest and stuff like that. Okay. But I'm really loving the gowns. That was brilliant. Again, I just love things with the sleeves being up. Why can't we do more of that?
[00:33:27] I've always been a person like a little bit more of like the the flare because they feel like sometimes our body styles and our body types. We get foam on another person's body, you know? Like, oh, your slender. Oh, you've got shape that I don't have.
[00:33:40] And it's like why not just put the shape into the clothes. You know? Yes. So it adds that element. I mean, it depends, right? If you have the great shape, you might not want to put it in the face. You're going to wear a sweater. You're right.
[00:33:55] You're right. Right. Yeah, in the same sense like I like next designer that's coming up. It's a Scorpio. Okay. Okay. So her clothing. So she has two different lines going, right? She has every day wear. Okay. Which I've worried. And then she wore you are there.
[00:34:18] And then she also has a the line that is specifically gowns. Oh, okay. So she also does lots of red carpet gowns. Okay. Okay. Today, we're going to see something in between. Okay. I mean, I know what you did bring some more red carpet gowns.
[00:34:37] But I think those are the ones will keep it for the show. Okay. We're going to have a little secret. Okay. So we're just going to show just a little sneak peek or what her lines combined could look like. Okay.
[00:34:52] And so she hers or her designs are going to be in your August 20th show. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. So Scorpio's is also very known in Georgian, Georgia. And then what she does, she usually dresses different TV shows there. Whoa. Yeah. Okay. This is crazy. Amazing.
[00:35:18] So have they had any like red carpet events here in the state yet? No yet. Not yet. That's the thing though. That's what we hear for. Yeah. So we're trying to get them there. Okay. We are invited in one of the red carpet gowns in Georgian. Okay.
[00:35:32] And I can't wait to go. This is amazing. Yeah. Scorpio's going to be one of the designers. I will ask to make me address for it. Oh. So exciting. What is it? Can I ask it? Or is it a secret for this red carpet event? Not secret.
[00:35:47] It's an ICP. Okay. And movie show in. Okay. Film show. Yes. So it's incredible. So that's like their debut. Yeah. We know. It's not a debut. I mean the designers debut. Oh yes. Yeah. Yes. That's so cool. I mean, I'm not supposed to be the one. Yeah.
[00:36:08] Oh, it's just a good idea. You're an ordinary. You know. I've got a good idea. And on this, that's really. I'm going to get somebody, you know, to notice and then, you know, get bigger names. Absolutely. You know, this design is because I think they deserve it. Absolutely.
[00:36:25] I could not agree more with you. And so with this next line up that we're bringing out, we're just going to actually hear from the models a little bit after you walked. So. So good. Ooh, look at this. So my god. I'm so cute. Beautiful.
[00:36:41] One of the TV show hosts is there. Oh my god. This is a fire. Wow. The way that the layering comes up, I'm so here for it. Good. And one day I'm going to wear a dress again. Yeah. One day. Good. This might be a lie. Okay.
[00:37:05] On that day. Okay. It's today. It's today. We can't. You want to go in the dress? I do. Oh my gosh. The beauty of these garments, y'all. I know. Wow. This is just beautiful. Wow. Thank you so much for the. Gosh.
[00:37:28] But then given us the product for the show. Absolutely. So y'all. First of all, I'm just going to have you like say your names. And basically like why you love working with you in style. There you go. Hi. I am Kiyasha.
[00:37:46] And I was just love working with her. She's so amazing. Oh my gosh. The energy I literally just can work with it. Like never know. It will never know negative energy. She's just amazing. I can be like mom. I love this. I love her so much.
[00:38:04] She's so lovely. Thank you. Thank you. My name is free. I've only worked with you. Like this is, I think, the fourth time. But my experience so far has been so amazing. She, her all the designers everybody are so welcoming. Especially for new models like me.
[00:38:22] And it just makes me feel right at home. Of course the clothes just make us feel so confident when we love them. Thank you. Hi. My name is Clara. I have only worked with you a couple of times as well.
[00:38:35] But every single time I have felt so supported and so comfortable. There's never been a time where I have felt absolutely amazing about myself and the other. I'm wearing in my environment more than I've ever working with you. Thank you.
[00:38:53] So what I want to ask is within this industry being a seasoned model or a new or model, what's some words of encouragement that you could give to somebody that might be wanting to seek out opportunities in modeling. So I am a new model.
[00:39:11] I've just started working in February, but a really something you need to do is don't listen to what everyone else says. Like what you can and can't do kind of just go for it. Try to be comfortable and as confident as you can.
[00:39:25] Fake it, sleep, take it and just really. It's not like they're yourself. You know, even yourself and just go out there. Yeah. I've been modeling for like three years, but I still consider myself kind of new. So I'm still learning every day.
[00:39:41] But I think my biggest piece of advice would be just even if somebody doesn't want you. It's just maybe because you don't have the right look for them that it doesn't mean you're any less than the people who were chosen.
[00:39:53] You have so many opportunities and also never settle for life. So my advice I would say is just to get out there and network.
[00:40:03] Me as many people as you can make as many model friends as you can and just enjoy it and just know that this is an opportunity in something that's going down a history that you can tell your kids. It's fun, it's fun, good job guys. Absolutely.
[00:40:19] Thank you so much, she all. I know you took a lot of time out of your day to be here, but also just that you brought some really beautiful energy today.
[00:40:27] And these things don't all come together without all the cogs fitting in and you all just were such a blessing. It was such an honor to have you here today. Thank you so much for what you're doing for us. Yeah, thank you all.
[00:40:40] I hope you all have a lovely rest of your afternoon and I'm going to sit and chat with this one again for a minute. Be safe out there and then heels booze. This has just been amazing having you in the studio with us today.
[00:40:54] I do want to note that we are in Denver Community Media Studio and this is available to the community. I think a lot of times, you know, production like this can be intimidating and we think oh my gosh, gosh it costs so much money.
[00:41:08] It takes so much time. Denver Community Media offers you classes. They teach you how to podcast and then you get it at a very affordable rate. So then that way we can just continue to amplify the voices and the looks of the community.
[00:41:23] So one thing I wanted to just talk about because I don't wear dresses. Okay, let's go go to that right. Yeah, kind of dresses in the traditional sense. Well what it happened was as I grew up in a cult and so we had to wear dresses and I
[00:41:41] That's in the black case. I think it came very removed from wearing dresses and it's just I think that just seeing these looks today. I was like wow, I want to like cosplay myself and like wear one and I hadn't worn like heels in a long time.
[00:41:59] I wore heels not too long ago in a show and I was like, look at me working them hips or even face. So now I just want to add a dress to it.
[00:42:07] So just seeing as the observer that I'm getting to be today, just witnessing the magic and how models are holding themselves confidently in the stories behind everything and just knowing that they're coming from powerful places of creation.
[00:42:21] Really has me in a space of like I need to try wearing a dress. I am like gasped up right now. So thank you for enhancing my joy with that. So I just wanted to give on her where it's due without caution. Thank you.
[00:42:35] And I wanted to thank you as well because you just the way you were facilitating in the background just now no matter how big or small an event is, You all take things very like to heart and serious in a very profound way.
[00:42:48] And I've just seen a lot of times behind the scenes where people are berated or they're mistreated and it's a significant shift in energy when you see that in a person.
[00:43:00] And everybody spoke from their heart saying like how good they feel, they feel like there's advocates in the room. Right right right. And so just having your energy here today, your right hand has just been so phenomenal to witness because again it's new.
[00:43:19] It's a new realm for me too. So what is you know first of all, just some like advice that you could give to a young model maybe that doesn't have someone advocating for them and maybe they're just on their own trying to get in this.
[00:43:34] What is something that you like a piece of advice as they're on this journey? I love that um, Kiki said network. It's a lot of get to know designers go but the other piece of that is feel people's energy.
[00:43:46] You will know really quick if you can work with somebody if not if they are nice. Yeah. Feel people's energy and don't be so desperate to break in that you accept anything. If you are desperate then every design is a good design.
[00:44:00] If you are desperate, every opportunity is a good opportunity. And sometimes you know you gotta get into things to know what's right and what's wrong. But um, so as you feel it's wrong you got to get up. Right. And it's a space that you're supposed to be in.
[00:44:16] I would say God you could say the universe would be there. We'll make that space for you. And just trust that that will come. Be very true to yourself, be very true to your gut to your instincts or what it is that you're feeling. I love you.
[00:44:29] Wow, because a lot more people, I see a lot of you know younger models that just kind of are getting kind of thrown around in the industry. They don't know how to advocate. They haven't had a voice of reason for themselves and um,
[00:44:43] designers at times can run all over them or the production that's going on behind the scenes where people get sorely taken advantage of. And it's their art. It's their magic, but there's you know, Biders and people that will take that as their own and give nothing back.
[00:45:00] So that's really, really an advice. It happens so frequently that people think that's just the way it is. Yes. And that's what I'm talking about. I can never want to say that. Yeah, that is.
[00:45:09] That is my, I have a family member that that used to be in the fashion industry. And so my, my daughter models and he was saying, I love what you want to do that. But he knew a lot of that experience as I think.
[00:45:20] So the goal is just to again, just to be aware of first of all who you are. You're not confident in yourself. You're going to take anything. Right. Confident and hopefully you have some leaders and a leader's job is to prepare the area for the people.
[00:45:34] You know, right. So like when I'm with the models, I'm going to tell them exactly what they need to do exactly what we're looking for them. That ask questions. So you have all the information you have to succeed. Right. And that's the goal. Yeah.
[00:45:47] I just wish more people facilitated like y'all. So you're on the something. Yeah. I want to add to that. I want to add that people outside who love fashion and who support this industry, they have to come out when things are happening. You know?
[00:46:06] And because them coming out to see this models, see the designers, you know, see the performance. This is what supports this business to grow. Absolutely. Right.
[00:46:17] So if you are a lover of fashion, especially here in Colorado, which is so little and so so them that you have to come out as well. You know? Yeah. And as a word shows everybody else it is something that is needed and wants it.
[00:46:34] And then it's not hard to do the next fashion. Right. Yes. So even speaking to your August 23rd show, you know, you wanted to, I guess, you know, you've been part of different fashion, you know, whether it was Denver Fashion Week or other fashion shows.
[00:46:50] And this is just your, you know, you and your designers and your collaboration with folks. And having that complete control over it, you know, from entering and all of that the support is going to be amazing. Yeah. It was just a different idea. Just we're going to talk.
[00:47:07] Looks like you people want more. Yeah. How can I give more? Yeah. Right. In the past, I do it. It's so brilliant because it creates that conversation. Exactly. And then you get to know that you know that's important part of all this because they're the ones creating.
[00:47:24] It's in their mind that comes out and we wouldn't. Right. So you want to get to this. And you make it people. You're making it obtainable. My young version of self never would have seen myself in this chair talking to two lovely humans that are discussing fashion.
[00:47:41] Like I would have, I didn't even have a TV when I was in the show. So to be in this realm and how you are making this an obtainable thing like you get to meet the designers.
[00:47:54] It's not something and not to dismiss how the other worlds of fashion work but it's not like a snooty area or an area that is it. Yeah. There, there. I would have never actually.
[00:48:07] Actually designers are also kind of not accessible to every day people because first of all they're always behind someone. They're not a front even on the runway, right? Right. On the derivative fashion with three of our designers, they even walk into the collection because they don't feel.
[00:48:30] They also have same insecurities that we all know. And they've expanded and they all day. Yes, that's a space. That's you know, trying to keep things, you know, the chaos behind the scenes you never know until you're in it. You don't know until you're in it.
[00:48:46] It's a good kid. Yeah. You're not frightened. Yeah. Yeah. But very good friends help me on the backstage for them a few weeks. And then they were like, no, we know why you do this. Yeah. Yeah. This was amazing. They were like, it was crazy. It was chaotic.
[00:49:11] It was everything but it was so good. I loved that so much because I had no idea. I never knew and then my first show I was like, why do I have to be here for 10 hours? You figure it out pretty quick, you know?
[00:49:25] But then that's a lot of times people ask that. You know, why do models and everybody else? Why do I have to be there for this long? Yeah. Show is only what 10 minutes long.
[00:49:35] But we can say it, you know, it's because collectively we need to come together and space about it. So all day you're building on your energy together, you're amping up. And if there's like people that aren't on that, that stride with you, it shows.
[00:49:48] You know, especially when you do a big series like Denver Fashion Week because you can see so many different designers and you can see where maybe someone was like, okay, somebody hit their end cap and people just are coming out and serving face.
[00:50:02] They don't got to pick and you know, hitching their giddy up because they've been there for 10 hours and maybe the energy wasn't great.
[00:50:09] But anytime I've witnessed you all, it's just like everybody surrounding you and the models and the production team have nothing but greatness to speak of you all. And I just think it's really a reflection. I mean, I'm a little low me out here.
[00:50:23] I was like, let me get a little peek in. So speaking about my younger self, not knowing that I would be here and it these things are accessible and you're providing the accessibility.
[00:50:35] What is something that you as yourself sitting right now as you are in this chair today? What is something you would tell your younger self? I think I always say and will say that just believe in yourself.
[00:50:51] And then if anybody can do it, that means you can do it too. Right. You know, if any human can do it, that means you can do it too as long as you put your mind to it. Absolutely. That's how I feel.
[00:51:06] Any challenge that comes up front of me, I sit down, I take a breath and I'll be like, if somebody can do it, that means I can do it.
[00:51:14] And I think everybody should be with that mindset because that opens up a lot more opportunities because you don't look at them as a child. You don't look at them as a wall that you can't pass or something, you know? It's more like something that competition.
[00:51:34] Am I going to do this? Yeah, I don't know if it's my favorite. You don't know. I don't know. That's how I look at things. And then don't be afraid. Obviously, don't be afraid. I mean, you know, always going to succeed. Right.
[00:51:49] That is failure but in that failure, you're always learned. Something you learn there. And the next time you come back stronger. Yeah. And even more stronger. And that's all I do. And all life is there. And all life is there. So it is.
[00:52:04] All this success, all the failures that you go through. And then you just, you know, enjoy them as they come. Absolutely. You do it. And so that brought you here today. Believe it in yourself. You may see.
[00:52:17] You didn't think you could and hear you are in a doing. We're not trying anymore. You're just doing. Right. You're just doing. I'm so care for it. I can open up a new book. Yeah. I'm happy I'm so glad. Because this is the first time for me too.
[00:52:38] Yeah, this is great. It's good that I don't see the camera. Yeah. All right. We're going to start. You're going to start. But what about yourself darling? What would you say to your younger self as the brilliance that you are today?
[00:52:53] Um, at a young age acknowledge everything that you love. Like, that means for it to, it will manifest itself somewhere later than life. Um, I will always love fashion. I've always loved music. I've always loved to care for and count so people.
[00:53:11] Um, and those are the, those are the things that I did in my adult life. And I didn't like if I had gone the way that I wanted to go. I had a plan. But um, just being obedient.
[00:53:22] Um, when places, I went like, I made a left somewhere and it didn't make any sense. And all of a sudden I'm here. Yeah. That's true. I mean, when somewhere else and I've had some for 15 years. I've, you know.
[00:53:33] And so, but those things were when I looked back at my life, when I was younger. I like to do those things. When I was younger, I used to take my cigarette with my grandma's house and put on my car ropes and stuff.
[00:53:43] And I would drink them in a particular way and make a dress or something. Um, always love fashion. I always love to sing. I've always loved to help people and so when you're, when you're younger just like when your kids do younger pay attention to what they love.
[00:53:54] Pay attention to what they're for that. Yeah. I'm just going to be intentional about cultivating whatever that is. Yep. Why don't forget it? Yes. I got to take a lap for that. The wisdom and the brilliance of you both and it's just a really amazing connection
[00:54:11] that I see with you all too and just how you enhance each other's joy. And, you know, there's this component that I think that I, I don't, I don't know how to quite describe it between the divinity of feminine and that embodying
[00:54:31] of just the power that exists as female energies. And it's so absolutely amazing here. You know, there's none of that judgment or snippy behavior or anything. You're just like, can you think of that sort of word? Y'all are true to it.
[00:54:52] I see such an earnest heart with you all and what you're creating. And I'm just so very grateful. And I'm so excited to see this on August 23rd. Okay, but where are we going to be at? Where's the location? You go.
[00:55:05] You're going to be at the rooftop of the Denver Athletic Club. Beautiful, the skyline up there is beautiful. We're going to be up there. Not only is it going to be the fashion show at sunset. We'll have a DJ, they'll be your Dervs and drinks.
[00:55:19] We're going to have live artists, some rappers, some dancers, pop-ups. Yeah, so it's going to be, it's really going to be phenomenal. I'm excited for people to come and just enjoy fashion in a different setting. Yeah. And hopefully something that we can do at it, really. Absolutely.
[00:55:35] This feels very like immersive. Yes. Yes. Yes. You normally are just in row one and row two watching this. Again, as she said, do you want you to get to know the design? You want your six-row. Teddy bears why?
[00:55:47] You want to get into all of that stuff because it's so beautiful. And the thing is they're going to see if they're going to touch it and then they're going to see it on the runway at sunset. Yeah. Wow. This is so incredible. Wow. This is great.
[00:56:02] So are you encouraging folks? Is there a dress code? I mean, are you encouraging folks to like come in, film, proper, like a bullbed deer on a stroll? Okay. Absolutely. Okay. Okay. We're going to show your best style. Okay. Whatever that might be. Okay.
[00:56:18] You know what I mean? I mean, you can reinvent the sentence come as you are. Who are you? Yeah. What makes you happy with it? Yeah. Come as that, Chip. Okay. Okay. Amazing. Where can we find tickets to support? So on the front, right? Okay. Fashion Passport. Okay.
[00:56:38] You can find it there. You can find dog on Instagram. There are posts, but there are links in our bio where you can get there as well. Okay. If you see any of the ads, they'll be QR codes, which is scan and all. Okay. Okay.
[00:56:57] We also collaborating with... Oh, fashion forward. Yeah. Okay. Oh, prom dress exchange is what it's called. So they're an organization that you donate prom dresses to and they make them accessible for the less fortunate.
[00:57:09] So for the cost of like $10, it may be even free depending on what it is. Teenagers can have a formal wear. Okay. So we are working with them. Wow. So you can. If you donate address at one of the tight cleaners in Colorado and I think there's five,
[00:57:24] you get a code for 20% off of your ticket. Wow. Okay. Yeah. Fashion and fashion. Come on. I love this. I'm in Lichon. Do you win? You're doing. I see you out here doing. It's been such an honor sitting with both of you today. Thank you so much.
[00:57:43] We even have a photographer back here. He's doing the deal. I want to come and say hi real quick. Okay. Right here. I'm getting a hug from you. Thanks for coming to our show. Director of the Top Real People Edition. Okay. Yeah. Amazing. It's going to go ahead.
[00:58:03] I was going to say that he's phenomenal with the models. It's maybe new to this part of it, to the behind the scenes part of it. I haven't ever been with a photographer that was so involved in the process with the models. As far as how they go.
[00:58:14] Yeah. And educating them as far as what's it is. What's not. He wasn't here but I told the models I said don't doubt the hydrineck and don't do so until and so because I'm doing it before so great. Thank you so much. Super. Fashion. Thank you so much.
[00:58:30] I guess 23 are capturing everybody. Okay. I want to have team of shooters in it. It's going to be a lot of fun. So I have video possibly drone and it'll be a lot of fun. Oh my gosh. I'm celebrating. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm so happy.
[00:58:46] Good luck. You'll be there. I love it. She was going to take a dive. Thank you so much. This has been an unbelievable honor that you all even responded to my Instagram message. See networking works. You just put it out there. Yes.
[00:59:08] The worst thing could happen was a no or no response. We got this today and I'm just so grateful for just the energy that you brought to this space today but just what you're bringing to Denver.
[00:59:23] The awareness that you're creating as well as the accessibility, it's a really profound thing What y'all are doing. Thank you. It's so grateful. We are grateful that you reached out because I mean again, our whole mission is to get it out there.
[00:59:37] You know, to be known and the more people knows the better. You know? We appreciate every little bit of it. Thank you. Awesome. Well, y'all just as I always do. At the end of an episode, I'm not here to do that, you know, foam all life.
[00:59:54] I'm not here to like do that toxic encouragement because we all have our struggles. We're all on different parallels in our journey and so this is just a story, a glimpse of another person's journey and what it took for them to sit in this chair today to have
[01:00:10] that conversation with their younger self. So with that being said, just want to remind you all to continue creating earnestly and love. We'll talk soon. I thought I got you. Good job, good job. Thank you so so much. It didn't feel to be another couple.
